Rustle
The wind whispered through the empty streets of the silent night.
A thin figure slowly emerged from the alley, cautiously scanning the surroundings. Finding the street deserted, the figure swallowed hard.
Quiet. Too quiet!
Such a quiet night was unheard of in Hell's Kitchen.
Usually, this time of night, the streets would be teeming with nocturnal wanderers. Gunshots and explosions would punctuate the air, mixed with the cries of women. That was the correct way to experience a night in Hell's Kitchen.
But now, it was so quiet that the figure could hear their own heartbeat.
The slight figure emerged stealthily from the alley, and the light from the street lamp revealed a black boy, likely around twelve or thirteen years old.
He was carrying a travel bag that seemed a bit oversized for him, and he was running quickly.
"Is this a trap?" Jill asked from the top floor of the apartment building, looking through binoculars at the young boy who was running.
"Both a trap and a necessity." After Red Queen's investigation in the afternoon, Li Qingyuan knew that Hell's Kitchen had been quiet for six consecutive days.
Seven days without any black market transactions wouldn't matter to others, but for the addicts, it was practically worse than killing them.
There was no need to ask what was in the travel bag behind the child: a large amount of Drugs. However, judging by his agile movements, this probably wasn't his first time doing this!
Children living in the slums generally had no future. They usually joined various gangs and organizations when they were around ten years old and then worked for them.
This practice of using minors to sell goods was very prevalent all over the world.
Because of the so-called Child Protection Law, they basically wouldn't be held legally responsible for whatever they did if they were caught.
Thud!
However, the protective halo around the black kid didn't seem to work this time. He had only run halfway when he suddenly flew into the air.
Along with half his skull, which floated through the air.
"Silenced Sniper Rifle, the other side is a master!" Jill looked at the kid lying in the middle of the road, still twitching, and frowned slightly.
Although she wasn't a sentimental saint, she was still somewhat amazed by the other person's clean and decisive method of killing.
"Another dark hero!" Li Qingyuan couldn't help but roll his eyes. He had almost known who was responsible for the state of Hell's Kitchen from the information he got from the Red Queen in the afternoon, and this shot further confirmed his judgment.
In the entire Marvel world, there were only a handful of superheroes who could ignore the two layers of protective halos on the black kid. Moreover, the other party was also a master of firearms. With so many labels, who else could it be but the Punisher, Frank Castle?
Frank Castle, former Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps, a recipient of multiple distinguished service medals, was reportedly once close friends with Nick Fury, that one-eyed man.
However, years of war had left Frank weary of the constant life-or-death situations, so the war hero decided to raise his own flag.
He planned to retire, go home, and live a life with his wife, children, and a warm bed!
As everyone knows, anyone with such aspirations in movies and TV shows only has one fate.
Frank's entire family was instantly killed, and he himself almost died.
At first, Frank hoped to avenge his family through the justice system, but the enemy escaped punishment through various channels and legal loopholes.
The next part of the story was a familiar scene from a thrilling American drama. Transformed into the Punisher, Frank began the physical destruction of all his enemies, taking on everyone and everything.
Unlike other superheroes, in Frank's eyes, anyone guilty had to be punished. A killer, he never showed any mercy to his enemies.
"The gangs are starting to move!" Jill turned her head and looked at the apartment building on the left.
That shot, thanks to the silencer, didn't reveal Frank's exact location. However, experienced professionals could quickly deduce the general area from the trajectory of the target's flight.
Hell's Kitchen's various gangs were utterly infuriated this time. Frank had killed over six hundred gang members in just a few days, and that was just the number the New York Police Department could confirm.
Many more of his victims were undocumented, so in reality, nearly two thousand people died in Hell's Kitchen last month.
With such a killing machine lurking in Hell's Kitchen, nobody would have a good day if they didn't take him out.
Hundreds of people, armed with firearms, surrounded the apartment building. Some even carried heavy weapons like Rocket Launchers.
Bang!
A gang member, hunched over and moving forward, suddenly collapsed to the ground, and crimson blood immediately flowed out.
That shot immediately opened the curtain on the firefight, and the remaining gang members began firing at the fourth floor.
The booming sound of gunfire immediately filled the air, and the residents, who had been holding their breath, finally breathed a sigh of relief.
This was the correct way to experience Hell's Kitchen. They hadn't heard any gunshots these past few nights, and it had kept them from sleeping!
"That guy's pretty skilled, huh?" Watching the gangsters fall one after another, Jill idly rotated her wrist, a silver pistol twirling between her fingers.
"If it were you, could you do it?" Li Qingyuan asked, after considering the elite gangsters currently swarming the Punisher.
Their fallen comrades hadn't frightened the others; instead, it had ignited their bloodlust.
This was, after all, Hell's Kitchen. The cowards had already perished long ago. Suppressed by Frank, the gangsters knew that if they didn't kill this guy who was running rampant and slaughtering people in Hell's Kitchen today, they would be dead tomorrow.
Because their skills only encompassed murder, arson, smuggling, and looting, they wouldn't be able to survive if they tried to switch professions.
Succeed or die trying!
"There are too many of them, I won't have enough bullets!" Jill looked at the mass of heads below and re-holstered her pistol on her outer thigh.
She only had a few dozen bullets on her. Even if she hit every shot, she wouldn't be able to kill so many enemies!
In less than a minute of fighting, the Punisher had killed at least fifty gangsters, but even more were constantly arriving.
It was obvious that the entire New York underworld had joined forces this time, determined to kill this table-flipping bastard.
