Chapter 3
"Arf! Arf! Arf!" I heard three dogs barking at me, who were now drooling and looked like they didn't have any food, then I backed away when another dog came towards me.
W-What should I do? Wahh!
It's up to me! I immediately ran to the right, with the dogs also chasing me. I was screaming and crying in fear. #Donotimitate
I looked around me and there were no people. Where are the owners of these dogs? Huhu! While the dogs were running and barking, I was shocked when they suddenly stopped and I couldn't hear the barking. When I looked to the left, I saw Andrilo who had been bitten by one of the dogs. He was sitting on the ground while he was holding the dog's bite on him.
I immediately pulled him and we ran together. After a while, he stopped me and we got on the motorcycle. It turns out that he had a motorcycle with him! Tsk!
He immediately started the motorcycle and we stopped at a mall. When we stopped, I immediately got off without saying anything to him or even looking at him. He didn't say anything either.
"Don't forget to get an anti-rabies shot." I said seriously and was about to turn my back on him when he suddenly grabbed my wrist, causing me to immediately back away and move my hand away from him.
"Denise, I'm sorry. Ok? And I didn't really get bitten.. I really have a wound there" he said but I just looked at him seriously.
"Ok?" I said and left. He was still surprised by my action but didn't say anything when I turned my back on him.
I started walking to wait for the jeepneys. After a while I looked at the man who was following me.
It was Cris.
"I was on my way home too, I just passed by someone. Are you coming with me?" he asked with a smile which made me nod.
"Are you okay?" he asked after we both got off his motorcycle in front of our house. I glanced at May who was inside the house gossiping and obviously excited and constantly pointing at Cris.
"I'm okay, I guess your friend is the one who's 'not okay'" I said and rolled my eyes thinking of Andrilo.
AFTER a while, after we talked for a while, he went home.
"Your boyfriend, ma'am?" May asked excitedly when I entered the house, which I just shook my head at.
"Happy birthday, ma'am! The food arrived earlier," she said. She was referring to the ones I had prepared.
I went into mom and dad's room and smiled.
"Mom! Dad! Your daughter is 19 now! Still on the calendar!" I said and hugged both of my parents. My parents are sick and bedridden but I know they are happy with what I have achieved and I know they love me very much.
"Ma'am, there are people waiting for you outside"
I left the room and immediately opened the door for them, aunt Celine.
My late boyfriend's Jay's mom.
They are still here for me.
"Happy birthday, daughter!" Aunt Celine said and hugged me. While hugging me, she suddenly started crying while I was already in tears and started crying too.
"Jay won't like us crying here, mom! Oh my, if he saw Denise crying, he would be sad." said Sister Diane who also kissed my cheek and rubbed my back. We wiped our tears and smiled again and went to the table. 3 years. 3 years since Jay left me, us. I regret it. I wish I had listened to him and stayed back then.
"Love, we're only there for 2 days and we have female co-workers"
My co-workers and I are going on vacation in the province in Antique, I was a working student at the time. I was so excited but my boyfriend Jay, I don't know, but the sad look he's looking at now is killing my mood.
"And besides, it's embarrassing. Okay, please?" I pouted at him. He always lets me. I was surprised when he suddenly stood up and hugged me.
"Please stay here, love?" he said while hugging me. I was about to hug him back when we were surprised when suddenly the picture of my boyfriend fell from a storage box in their house. I saw at the bottom of the box the cat that used to come in when the door was left open. I think the cat knocked it over.
I looked at my boyfriend's handsome face, which seemed to be not feeling well and looked sad.
I don't know but I don't understand and I'm not feeling well either and I feel bad but maybe I'm just catching it from Jay because he's been trying to get me to stay home. He still hasn't let go of me hugging him now.
I even had a lechon today that you thought didn't get fired. Well, another music artist contacted me and said he wanted me to be his personal assistant.
"daughter, blow out the candle," said auntie and they started taking out their cellphones and making videos.
"Ma'am, sir Rey, L-Louise, Cris and sir Justine have arrived too!" May said excitedly while staring at Louise and it felt like she had been slapped a few times because of her red face and her thick blush. I was shocked to see the four of them.
Jay's other relatives also started to mutter and Jay's two aunts even argued about who was more handsome among the four. "Sorry, we must have been late" Cris kissed me on the cheek, smiling now and even though she was only wearing a simple black jacket, her former strength was still there.
"It's just getting started, hijo!" Jay's aunt suddenly said and immediately offered to eat for the four of them.
"Baks!!!" I was shocked when someone suddenly ran and hugged me but I immediately breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that it was Aria. My Bff since we were in high school. Good thing she was able to come! It's a shame we're not complete anymore.
Sister Diane started playing the happy birthday song and they sang to me.
"Blow the candle now, daughter! So we can eat and drink!" said uncle Edrin, Jay's father, and the uncles, Jay's siblings, and Justine and the group laughed.
"Wish!!" they shouted.
I hope you're happy, Jay, wherever you are.
I blew out the candle and they started shouting and started taking paper plates each.
I went out and started walking to buy some alcohol for my uncle. After a while, I saw a shop that seemed like I had just seen it. I saw an old woman running it.
"I need some beer" I said and told her what I wanted to buy. I didn't know but the old woman couldn't take her eyes off me as if she wanted to say something or as if she had just seen me.
"Uhmm?" she nodded and took out a box of wine.
"I know you're thinking about something and have regrets from your past," she said as if she knew everything about me.
I looked at the old woman in surprise. "There's a way for you to come back to that day" she said and suddenly handed me a necklace.
"Necklace? Haha thank you" I said and took the necklace from the old woman's hand while a young man who was already sitting at the corner of the old woman's shop who looked like her grandson helped me carry it.
It hadn't been an hour since so many people had gotten drunk earlier.
I walked back home. I didn't want the dogs to chase me again!
When I got back, I saw that the karaoke was open and there were other uncles dancing.
I was surprised when one of Jay's uncles danced in front of me to invite me to dance too. After dropping the box of alcohol, I joined them in the middle, as if I was already very drunk too.
I didn't think about what the old woman said earlier. Maybe she just has nothing to do and just needs someone to talk to.
"Auntie, I'm just going to the comfort room" I told Aunt Celine and walked into my room with a shrug.
I don't know how many bottles i consumed and Jay's. family. Cris, the group and Aria had already gone home. As soon as I entered the room, I immediately sat down on the bed and almost got hit my head on the wall.
"Hmm?" I took the necklace the old woman had given me earlier and put it on.

I searched for the necklace and found it to be a sterling silver soulmate heart necklace.

"UMMMP!" I immediately sat up in bed and wiped the water from my nose.
"What is that? Something?!" I said as I was startled awake by someone suddenly pouring water on my face.
"Idiot! Who's May? Hey, maybe you forgot we have an exam today!" I looked at Rossalyn in surprise. My best friend from high school. My god, she's in a foreign country. All I know is that she's in Japan, and why doesn't her face seem to have changed?
Rossalyn/Rosy (Ross Garcia) - He's my bff from high school who is soft but still dresses like a man. He's afraid her parents will find out he's gay. He's afraid to admit it!
"What? Oh my, I'm really going to report you to auntie! Joke, are we cutting later? Jk! What's wrong? You still have dry saliva on the side of your lips!" he said and pointed a little at the side of my lip.
I saw him wearing our uniform from grade 10 and I couldn't help but laugh. "What's your trip, baks? Why are you wearing a uniform? Your opening is so cool from Japan!" I said while laughing, which made him raise his eyebrows.
"What do you think today, baks? Sunday? We have school stupid!" he said and pulled me up from my bed to the comfort room.
But I immediately went back to the room and found Rosy sitting on my bed. Then I saw a bag that she used when we were in high school placed on a chair in my room. My room also looked different. It was full of posters and my high school stuff and my bed was the same as my high school bed with pink sheets.
What kind of trip is this?
"Baks, you didn't even say you were going home today!" I said while hugging him, but he reacted as if he was disgusted.
"What do you mean, going home? Why? Are you okay now with me living here?" he said jokingly and laughed.
What's date again? I have work later.
I looked at the calendar and saw that it said 2022.
"Baks, take a shower! If we're late, I'll beat you up!" he joked as he pulled me towards the cr.
I took a shower and immediately changed into a very fitting dress, which made Rosy frown. "What the? You beat our principal! What kind of trip is that, Baks? We're going to school!" he said while shaking his head while looking at me.
"We're really late, go put on your uniform"
"Denise?!" I looked at my mom in surprise when I heard her voice. But I was even more surprised to see that she could walk and that my mom looked exactly the same as when I was in high school.
"Denise, the hairpin you're looking for! Let it go, maybe your cousins have a better skirt, I'll ask later," said mom, then handed me the hairpin and left.
A-Am I in the year 2022?!
