Grace's POV
"You—"
Words escaped me completely. My entire day felt like it had been flipped inside out, as though fate itself was having a laugh at my expense. One bombshell after another kept hitting me—first the pregnancy news, then discovering my new boss was the very same man I'd shared that incredible night with, who also happened to be carrying my child's father.
"Hey, what's with that expression," he laughed. "Don't tell me you genuinely had no clue I'd be running things here."
He rose from his chair and strolled confidently toward his desk. Settling against it casually, he slid his hands into his pockets. One eyebrow arched as he prodded, "Really? Nothing? Not even a hint?"
"How was I supposed to know?" I shot back defensively. "You certainly didn't carry yourself like a CEO that night."
