Chapter 19 - 19

Okay."

Jameson quickly handed the briefcase to Andrew, who nodded, got up, and left the office. Everyone outside respectfully greeted him, "Mr. Wang."

Only Peter remained silent, because the moment he saw Andrew, every cell in his body screamed that the man was extremely dangerous and he should flee immediately.

"Afternoon tea is on me."

Andrew smiled and deliberately glanced at Peter, who nearly jumped out of the building in fright. Andrew chuckled, finding his Spider-Sense quite sensitive. He shook his head and left the newspaper office.

After Andrew left, Peter let out a huge sigh of relief. He had been so scared that all the hairs on his body stood on end. He asked the secretary beside him, "Who was that just now? He seemed so impressive."

"That's our big boss, Mr. Andrew Wang, Chairman of Rebirth Group."

The secretary said with regret, "If only I had known Mr. Wang was coming, I would have done my hair and put on a nice dress. He's Manhattan's number one diamond bachelor, not only worth tens of billions but also a young, handsome man."

Peter was speechless. He glanced at the wedding ring on her ring finger and wisely remained silent.

Peter secretly thought, "Why does Mr. Wang give me such immense pressure? Could he be some kind of Alien?"

...

Manhattan's Clinton District, due to its chaotic and backward living conditions, severe ethnic conflicts, and high crime rate, was dubbed Hell's Kitchen by New York residents.

That night, Andrew, dressed in a T-shirt and jeans, arrived at a bar in Hell's Kitchen to drink—this bar had a strong scent of blood, and if he wasn't mistaken, it should be a Vampire stronghold.

Not long after, two heavily made-up beauties initiative came up to Andrew and asked, "Handsome, could you buy us a drink?"

"So fast? Am I, the Demon King, too harmless-looking?"

Andrew secretly complained. He could tell at a glance that these two beauties were not human. He smiled and said, "My pleasure."

The two beauties sat on either side of Andrew, proactively offering him 'tofu' (flirting). When Andrew was seemingly 'mesmerized,' one of the green-haired beauties said, "Handsome, do you want to go somewhere more exciting?"

Andrew feigned interest and asked, "More exciting than you two?"

"A hundred times more exciting than us. There, you'll see things you've never seen before."

The other beauty said, "I guarantee you'll never forget it."

"If they're all dead, then naturally, they'll never forget it."

Andrew muttered. These two Vampire beauties were likely decoys specifically for luring 'food' to the 'Vampire restaurant.'

Andrew was about to agree when a voice full of interest came from beside him: "An exciting place? Can we go together?"

"Are there more people rushing to their deaths?"

Andrew was a little curious and turned to look in the direction of the voice, finding a young Golden-haired male.

"Hello, everyone."

Seeing Andrew and the others look over, the Golden-haired male greeted them. Then, he pointed to his companions behind him and introduced, "We are New York University students. Today is my birthday, and they came to celebrate it with me."

Andrew asked, "Celebrate your birthday in Hell's Kitchen?"

The Golden-haired male said, "I wanted to find somewhere exciting, but the bars in Hell's Kitchen don't seem much different from anywhere else."

Andrew chuckled. They truly were the American college students with the highest rate of seeking trouble.

At this moment, a scholarly-looking Golden-haired Beauty with big eyes said, "Keith, let's stop here today. We should go back."

"Gwen, don't be such a spoilsport. It's Keith's birthday today, we should have a good time with him."

A woman dressed in revealing clothes shouted, and the others agreed. They had drunk a bit and were feeling a little tipsy.

Gwen Stacy was somewhat helpless. Unlike her carefree classmates, as the police chief's daughter, she was well aware of how dangerous Hell's Kitchen was.

"Gwen Stacy, an unexpected bonus."

Andrew glanced at Gwen and said with a smile, "Since you all want to go, then go. I believe Hell's Kitchen will not disappoint you. What happens tonight, you might never forget."

"That's right, Hell's Kitchen will definitely not disappoint you."

The two Vampire beauties exchanged glances and smiled in unison. With food automatically delivering itself, they certainly wouldn't refuse.

Then, everyone got up and followed the two beauties to a nearby warehouse. Of course, the warehouse was just a disguise. The two beauties opened the basement door and led the group into a very secluded underground bar.

This underground bar was very dim, and the music was so loud that it made one's ears buzz. Many people were dancing wildly inside, and some were doing 'unmentionable' things in the corners.

Keith and the others were very excited at the sight. Led by the two beauties, they entered the dance floor and started dancing. Only Andrew and Gwen remained still; they both frowned, clearly disliking the environment here.

The two beauties no longer paid attention to Andrew. There was no need to waste time on prey that had already entered the slaughterhouse.

Gwen looked around with disgust and said, "This dreadful place, I wish I hadn't come."

"I feel the same."

Andrew nodded. He said, "Hello, my name is Andrew Wang. I'm a temporary reporter."

It was noisy all around, but Andrew's voice still clearly reached Gwen's ears. She said loudly, "Hello, my name is Gwen Stacy."

Andrew said, "Gwen, you shouldn't be so accommodating to your friends. Hell's Kitchen is never a suitable place to seek thrills."

"I'm not very sociable."

Gwen gave a wry smile. She was a super academic and didn't have many social connections. This time, a classmate's birthday invited her, and she really couldn't just back out.

"I can tell. It's almost time."

Andrew smiled and pulled out a black umbrella from behind him. Gwen was startled: "Where did you get that umbrella? No, why are you holding an umbrella?"

Andrew said, "Using an umbrella in a bar and wearing a helmet while fishing, isn't that common sense?"

"What kind of common sense? Why have I never known that?"

Gwen complained. Just then, the music abruptly stopped. Immediately after, accompanied by the excited shouts of the Vampires, the sprinkler system on the roof turned on, spraying a large amount of red liquid downwards. The Vampires opened their mouths, greedily devouring it.

Andrew immediately opened his umbrella and pulled Gwen close to him. Through the dim light, Gwen saw the blood and asked in alarm, "Blood! What's going on? Are they some kind of evil cultists?"

Keith and the others also realized something was wrong, but it was too late. The surrounding Vampires bared their fangs and growled at them, scaring them into screaming.

Some Vampires also surrounded Andrew and Gwen. When Gwen saw their blood-red eyes and terrifying fangs, she was so scared that she kept hiding in Andrew's arms.
