Chapter 2 - Mine to deal with

Everything all sounded like background voices as she looked at Gavin's body. Her head was blank and her body was frozen.

Yes, she intended to knock him out but now that she did, what if she ended up in jail for her actions?

While she was frozen, her body was pushed aside. She watched as Gavin Green was taken out of the classroom but at the same time, wasn't concentrating as she was starting to see herself in a prisoner's uniform.

"Sh*t," she said inwardly. "What have I done?" She muttered to herself, almost ruffling her hair.

Her world was silent for a moment, feeling as if she was alone even though she was still surrounded by her classmates.

"Amber? What's up," when she heard that soft feminine voice, she raised her gaze to look at the person.

Her friends were worriedly looking at her. She had three close friends, Georgina, Sparkles and Diane.

"I don't know why I did that." Now she panicked, holding the front of her head as if she was suffering from a severe headache.

"I should have minded my business like I used to. What the hell got into me?" She continued, tense and scared.

Diane, the only blonde one among the four of them, went to wrap Amber in her arms. "It's okay," she patted her shoulder.

"No, it's not. Don't lie to her," Georgina walked closer. "This is bad," she said to Amber.

"Come on, girls, give her a break," Sparkles said, deeply worried about Amber because they all knew what happened to people who went against Gavin Green and how miserable their lives were.

If Gavin decides to torture Amber, she could end up doing something worse to herself.

"Amber," another voice that wasn't among them was heard so they all looked up to see one of the nerds in the class.

"Professor Ivan calls for you," he said and walked away.

"I'm doomed!" Amber cried.

But there was nothing her friends could do. They only massaged her shoulders gently and watched Amber leave for professor Ivan's office.

"What's going to happen now?" Diane wondered.

After a few moments in the school clinic, Gavin Green was laying down on the school clinic bed, smiling and playing with his fingers.

"What should we do to her, young master?" One of his bodyguards asked.

"Do to her?" He asked himself as he sat up. "Hmm," he then touched his chin. "What should you do to that b*tch?" He stayed silent for a while, thinking nothing but plotting how he would play with her.

Amber Washington didn't appear to be a threat to Gavin Green even though she knocked him out with just a kick. She was skilled and that was impressive but her audacity was more interesting to him.

He desired a lot about her that he didn't even know where to start from.

He heard her call him ugly and what she said about what type of girl would f*ck him.

He'd feel like a god if he could get her in his arms and make her repeat that statement but with a different tone.

He didn't care about his academics but he'd make sure to mess up her scholarship and everything she had built throughout her years in Union University.

"Finally, a dream to chase!" He grabbed his phone and lied on the bed again.

"So what should I do, young master?" His bodyguard was still confused.

"Let her be, she's mine to deal with."

"But if your father…"

"Just…tell him that it's just things…friends do. It isn't so serious."

"But Gavin. She literally knocked you out!"

Gavin waved, meaning he wasn't explaining anything to his bodyguard again.

One thing about Gavin Green was that he was loner. He had no friends, not that no one wanted to be his friend, he didn't appreciate friendship that was based on his position.

Everyone wanted him for his money and his father's power, including the girls he f*cked with. That was why every girl he ever touched always felt achieved and could brag about it all their lives.

Well, since he didn't want any relationship with people, he had never been in a relationship and was planning to never be.

The door went open and seeing who entered his room, Gavin knew he wasn't safe.

"Gavin Green, you are needed at the president's residence now," said his father's right-hand man.

Gavin glanced at his bodyguard and swallowed. He wondered what must be so serious for his father to summon him this way, with numerous men, so he couldn't run or escape.

He had to accept his fate and left the room.

Just two minutes after his departure, Amber arrived at the door.

"I understand how you feel but ignore his actions for your own good. For yourself, let your emotions be buried away or else you won't be able to survive in this world."

Professor Ivan's voice echoed in her head for the third time after he pleaded that she apologized to Gavin.

Amber had even bitten the inside of her mouth because she didn't want to apologize to the one who should be sorry.

He was the one at fault and…

'So this is what it feels like to have money,' she thought. 'You become so powerful that people around you start to feel wrong for just existing,' Amber tasted her blood as she placed more pressure on the inside of her mouth.

'For myself…I have to be guilty so that I can survive,' she knocked on the door finally and opened it.

She saw no one but a nurse. "Hi, Gavin…I am here to see Gavin?" She was confused.

"He just left," said the nurse.

"Oh," looking at the exit, Amber nodded. "Thank you," she said. "I guess I arrived late," then she muttered to herself.

But even while deep down she was feeling relieved that she didn't get to apologize, she was worried about why he wasn't at the clinic. What if the case had gotten even worse and her punishment was starting to be more extreme than she thought?
