Chapter 1 - Through the Lens of Love

Darshan completed his Master's in photography at a very young age. A prodigy in his art, he became a three-time winner of the World's Best Photography Award. For him, photography wasn't just a profession it was life itself, flowing in his veins like blood.

Cameras surrounded him since childhood. Yet, amidst all the beauty he captured, Darshan carried a wound in his heart a complete loss of faith in love.

When he was young, his father, Vikram Raj, fell in love with his mother, Sunitha. Their love story seemed eternal, but their marriage became a battlefield of conflicts. Eventually, they separated, leaving Darshan shattered. From that day, he stopped believing in love altogether.

But destiny destiny has its own mysterious ways.

Because love is so powerful it can captivate anyone in just a few seconds.

Himalayas, Day

Snow-covered peaks rise like ancient guardians. Gentle winds blow through the valley. Mist curls above the roaring waterfalls. The air itself feels alive.

NARRATION (V.O):

One day, Darshan set out to the Himalayas, carrying nothing but his camera to capture waterfalls that seemed to fall from heaven itself.

Darshan walks slowly, adjusting his camera lens. Each click echoes against the mountains. He bends low, focuses on the spray of water, then suddenly freezes.

Through his lens a girl.

She laughs joyfully, splashing water at her friends near the falls. The sun reflects off her wet hair. Her carefree spirit and radiant smile light up the frame like magic.

Darshan's heartbeat quickens.

He zooms in.

Her eyes a deep, spellbinding blue. She gently tucks her hair behind her ear, unaware that someone is capturing her soul through a lens.

For the first time, Darshan feels something stir inside. Time slows. The roar of the waterfall fades. The world pauses.

Only she exists.

He lowers the camera, breathless, staring across the misty valley.

Drawn by an unseen force, Darshan starts climbing the small hill separating them. His boots crunch over rocks, his camera swinging at his side.

But when he reaches the spot

She's gone.

Only silence remains.

Only the echo of her laughter, carried by the mist.

Darshan's Room, Night

The room is dim, lit only by a table lamp. Darshan sits on his bed, flipping through the photos he captured. Each image of her smiling, radiant, alive feels like a dream frozen in time.

Darshan (softly, as if speaking to her):

Who are you..? Why do I feel like I've known you forever?

He presses her photograph gently to his chest, closes his eyes. The sound of waterfalls echoes in his dreams as he drifts into sleep.

Darshan's House, Next Morning

The sharp sound of a doorbell cuts through the silence. "Tring… Tring…"

Darshan walks to the door, still half lost in last night's dream. He opens it… and freezes.

Standing there is a girl.

The same girl.

Siri (smiling): Hi… my name is Siri. You stay nearby, right? The weather is so cold, isn't it?

Darshan stares at her in shock. His heart races like a drumbeat. He cannot speak. He just… stares.

Siri (snapping her fingers playfully): Hello? Are you even listening to me?

Darshan (stammering): YYYeah…. tell me.

Siri: The firewood in my room got over. Do you have some extra?

Darshan: Yeah... I do…. but I also need some for myself.

Siri (sighs): Oh no… then what do I do? Do you know any shop nearby?

Darshan: I just moved here recently…. so I don't know.

Siri: Okay then… sorry for disturbing you. Bye.

Darshan (quickly): Wait! It's okay. If you don't mind….you can use the firewood in my room.

Siri (concerned): But you also need it, right?

Darshan (nervously smiling): I mean….you can sit here until you feel better.

Siri (laughing softly): Actually, I'm fine. Okay, I'll go lock my room and come back.

She leaves. Darshan watches her go, smiling to himself.

Darshan (murmuring): God…. she's crazy. I didn't even offer properly, but she accepted. You're amazing, girl.

 Behind Their Houses, Night

A small bonfire crackles in the cold night. Darshan and Siri sit side by side, flames reflecting in their eyes. Darshan pulls out a guitar. With practiced fingers, he begins to play soft, haunting melodies, his own compositions.

Siri listens, spellbound.

Siri (smiling): Wow you play so well. By the way, what's your name?

Darshan: My name is Darshan. And you you didn't tell me what you do.

Siri: Oh, sorry. I just moved here. Got a new job two days back. And you?

Darshan: I'm a photographer.

Siri (teasing): Photographer? Looking at your guitar, I thought you were an artist.

Darshan (smiles faintly): Guitar's just a hobby. My mom loved it.. she taught me.

Siri (gently): What does your mom do?

Darshan (sadly, eyes lowering): She went to God. Passed away.

Siri (softly): I'm so sorry. I didn't know.

Darshan (with a bittersweet smile): It's okay. This guitar….it's the only memory of her.

What about you? Your family?

Siri: I don't have one. I grew up in an orphanage since childhood.

Darshan (sympathetic): I'm so sorry.

Siri (bravely smiling): It's okay. I never felt bad about it. I got used to being alone.

Darshan (hesitant, curious): Hmm…. are you married?

Siri (playfully): No! Do I look like I'm married?

Darshan (laughs nervously): No.. just asked.

Siri: What about you? Where's your girlfriend?

Darshan (with a shy smile): I don't have one. I've been single since childhood. But you…you must have at least one boyfriend, right?

Siri (grinning): No. I'm also single. Chill!

Darshan feels his heart leap. His eyes shine with quiet happiness, though he tries to hide it.

Darshan (smiling): Okay then… I'll leave now. I'm feeling so much better. Thanks.

Siri: No problem. If you ever need help, I'm here.

Darshan: Same here..if you ever need anything… I'm just nearby.

They smile at each other. The fire crackles. The night grows colder, but in their hearts something has just begun.
