The walk towards the cave took a few minutes, and I had to limp with Angelica's support. Once we entered the cave, the girls' eyes widened in shock as they met ours.
Maybe they had not expected us to be back so quickly, or perhaps they were just shocked to see me wounded.
My left arm ached so badly that I wished it could be chopped off, and with every passing second, I felt my breath growing heavier and my arm becoming numb.
"Easy," Angelica muttered as she helped me sit at the left side of the cave, just opposite the other girls. "How is your arm?" she asked as she sat beside me.
I winced in pain and whispered, "I am fine."
She nodded and then turned to face the girls. "If only you all had helped us, but instead you ran away," Angelica accused, pointing her finger towards them. "Is this how you will protect your queen if you become a noble consort?"
