"Although my hands still hurt, I feel relieved!" I shouted to Angelica as we finished bathing and changed into our clothes.
"Right," Angelica chuckled and stretched her arms. "The water was soothing, and I'll come back here next time if it's allowed," she added.
I nodded, agreeing with her. Once we had finished changing, we returned to the cave, which led us to the forest.
The other girls had left a few minutes before us, and I wondered if they had already found the jewel we were hunting.
I checked my name tag and realized we only had an hour and ten minutes until the hunting ended. Yet, there had been no sign of the jewel, which made me think back to what the announcer had said earlier regarding the hunting game.
"A game of intelligence."
The words echoed in my head, and I closed my eyes, trying to figure out what they meant and why he had mentioned that.
What had Damien planned? What was the jewel we were searching for? Was it a diamond? Gold?
