Afternoon
"Miss, you shouldn't have come here. I could have handled it. This is Hell's Kitchen, not a safe place."
Chen Ye and Deadpool looked towards the door, only to see a plump man in a suit walking in.
Following him were a golden-haired, worried-looking woman and a brown-haired woman in a secretary's outfit.
Deadpool quickly walked over to the three.
He introduced one of the ladies: "Chen, this is our esteemed sugar daddy, bah, this is our employer, Miss Pepper Potts."
"This gentleman should be an unimportant person, probably Miss Potts's follower."
"As for this beautiful lady, are you here to see me?"
Deadpool ignored the man, turned around, and handed a rose to the brown-haired woman.
"Just call me Happy. I'm Stark's bodyguard, and I'm the one who recommended Miss Potts to you."
"As for the other one, she's Stark's new secretary, Miss Lashman."
The brown-haired woman in the secretary's outfit nodded.
Chen Ye quickly stepped forward to shake hands with Miss Pepper Potts.
Then he motioned for them to sit down, "Please sit, Miss Pepper Potts. Pietro, quickly pour some tea for our guests."
"Please have some tea, make yourselves at home," Pietro said, and before he finished speaking,
Three cups of tea were already placed on the table in front of Happy and the two ladies.
Happy and Miss Pepper Potts were stunned for a moment.
Only the brown-haired woman remained expressionless, as if she had known beforehand.
Chen Ye gave Pietro an exasperated look: "Please don't mind it. This is just a small ability. If we didn't have some ability, how could we survive in Hell's Kitchen?"
"Getting back to the point, I'm very sorry to hear about Stark's disappearance. We will do our best to help you find him. Could you tell us the specific situation?"
Pepper Potts adjusted herself and slowly began to speak.
"A month ago, Tony Stark went to Afghanistan to deliver military supplies to the U.S. military there. After the transaction was completed, on his way back to the U.S. Base, he was attacked by an unknown armed force. There was no body of Tony at the scene, so he was likely kidnapped."
"I hope you can help me bring Tony Stark back, even if it's just his body..."
At this point, Pepper Potts's eyes reddened, and she couldn't continue speaking.
Happy, standing nearby, fumbled around for tissues. Fortunately, the secretary next to her took out a handkerchief and handed it to Miss Pepper Potts.
Chen Ye, who knew the plot, put on a sad expression to match, but in reality, he was overjoyed. He quickly said,
"Miss Pepper Potts, I fully understand how you feel, and I'm very sorry to hear about Stark's misfortune."
"However, I must say here that since Mr. Stark was attacked by an unknown armed force, this rescue mission is very likely to involve facing armed forces with powerful firepower, which may require our team to fight."
Chen Ye paused, a difficult expression on his face.
"It's hard for us to guarantee success. Secondly, if Mr. Stark is still alive, we'll have to safely bring him back from the armed forces, which is very difficult, unless..."
Deadpool, standing behind Chen Ye, brought his five fingers together on his right hand, making a gesture for more money.
Seeing Deadpool's gesture,
Pepper Potts understood: "Money is not an issue. As long as you can find Tony Stark and bring him back safely, I can add another fifty million! Even if it's just finding his body, I'm willing to pay five million U.S. dollars."
Clearly, Pepper Potts wanted him back alive or dead.
Chen Ye, who already knew Stark would build an Iron Man Suit and escape himself, said with a solemn expression:
"No problem at all. Our team is elite, and we'll complete the mission one hundred percent. If we don't rescue Tony Stark, we won't take a single penny."
"We are professionals!" Deadpool quickly nodded from the side.
"That's right," Pietro also gave a thumbs-up in agreement.
Pepper Potts seemed to be influenced by the confident statements of Chen Ye and the two, and her mood improved considerably.
"Heh heh," a sneer interrupted the harmonious atmosphere. Everyone looked over; it was the secretary lady sneering.
"Even the United States Police and the World's most elite FBI can't find him, so where do you get the confidence that you can?" The secretary lady said scornfully.
It was then that Chen Ye began to seriously look at this familiar-looking secretary lady.
"System, get to work. Scan this person."
"Ding!"
[Name: Natasha Lashman (Natasha Romanoff)]
[Title: Black Widow]
[Race: Human]
[Affection: None for now]
[Skills: Cannot be read for now as the target is not yet your friend.]
Marvel's famous Black Widow, Chen Ye muttered to himself.
Knowing that the person in front of him was Black Widow, Black Widow was truly a well-deserved old woman, born in Stalingrad, former Soviet Union, in 1928.
She was trained as an Agent by former Soviet Union Agent personnel from a young age, and her body's aging process was greatly slowed down after genetic modification by the former Soviet Union government.
However, Chen Ye wasn't clear on the more detailed information. In his previous life, there was a Black Widow solo movie,
But Chen Ye wasn't interested in The Lady Avengers movies that were later made for U.S. political correctness.
He knew that he would soon enter S.H.I.E.L.D.'s radar.
Chen Ye was very conflicted. On one hand, he didn't want to have any connection with S.H.I.E.L.D., as he really didn't like that bald black guy.
On the other hand, he really wanted to make friends with every member of the Avengers.
After all, the Avengers was the fastest way to make friends with so many Super Heroes.
It wasn't that there were no other channels, but the efficiency of making friends one by one was ultimately not as convenient as being directly in a team.
However, these concerns were for the future. For now, he needed to make friends with their Black Widow.
"My beautiful lady, you're underestimating us too much. A mere Tony Stark, I, Deadpool, alone can bring him back. You just wait for the good news."
If I rescue your boss, Tony Stark, can I have a romantic... Mmph!" Deadpool said cheekily.
"I'm very sorry, Miss Lashman." Chen Ye quickly covered Deadpool's mouth and looked apologetically at Black Widow and Pepper Potts.
"I believe Miss Pepper Potts must have sought out many connections over such a long time, not just us. Miss Lashman, it's understandable that you don't trust us. How about we make a bet?" Chen Ye paused.
"What kind of bet?" Black Widow tilted her head, signaling Chen Ye to continue.
Pepper Potts and Deadpool also showed curious looks.
Chen Ye continued,
"First, Miss Pepper Potts, I don't mean to make a gamble out of Tony Stark's situation so childishly. If I've offended you, I apologize in advance.
I have two hobbies: one is money, and the other is making friends.
If we rescue Tony Stark within a week, I hope I can make friends with Miss Lashman."
Pepper Potts waved her hand, indicating that she didn't mind.
"Okay, if you find him, I'd be Happy to be your friend. But what if you lose? The FBI couldn't even find Tony Stark's location, so how will you?" Natasha asked with interest.
"There's no 'if.' Tony Stark, we're definitely saving him." Although Chen Ye knew Natasha was testing him for S.H.I.E.L.D., he still said firmly.
"We naturally have our methods, but please bring back some of Tony Stark's personal items that he's used recently, preferably those with a strong scent."
Chen Ye looked towards the door.
"No problem. I'll accept this bet on behalf of Miss Lashman. Happy, tomorrow, organize and bring over the things you need. Then we'll take our leave. We look forward to your good news." Pepper Potts stood up and said.
Seeing Pepper Potts stand up to leave, Happy quickly followed.
Only Natasha turned to leave unhurriedly, and when she reached the restaurant door, she turned her head and gave Chen Ye and his group a meaningful glance.
Seeing Natasha's actions, Chen Ye frowned.
At this moment, Deadpool next to Chen Ye shouted: "I'm in love! She's so beautiful, Miss Lashman!"
"Oh no, I forgot to ask Miss Lashman for her contact information! Miss Lashman, wait for me!" Deadpool ran out in a panic.
"What's wrong, Chen? Is there something wrong with this Miss Lashman?" Pietro, sensing Chen Ye's unease, spoke up.
"Ah, it's nothing, Pietro. It's just that our peaceful days are coming to an end. Alright, I'm going upstairs to rest for a bit. We still have to open tonight."
Chen Ye thought of the various major events in the future, patted Pietro's shoulder, and said in a slightly low tone, slowly walking towards the apartment elevator.
Looking at Chen Ye's suddenly heavy back,
Pietro suddenly said with a wry smile: "In a place like Hell's Kitchen, how can there be any peaceful days? How much more chaotic can it get than Hell's Kitchen?"
Chen Ye's body paused after hearing that, but he didn't speak. Only his back no longer seemed so heavy.
