Chapter 222: Fusion Aura
"Wallace, please note, the meteorite is ahead. Please set the rocket to automatic landing mode. Simultaneously exit the capsule to engage it, preventing the rocket from being destroyed by Deoxys."
With this announcement over the communicator, Ryan and Wallace began setting up the landing mode. The rocket had been flying in space for two days and was finally approaching the massive meteorite.

"I know, just don't mess things up," Ryan replied.
The two opened the hatch. Ryan released four Poké Balls, resulting in two Rayquazas (one large and one small), along with Solrock and Lunatone, appearing in space. Wallace glanced at Ryan's Pokémon and also dispatched his own Deoxys. The Solrock and Lunatone were given to Ryan by Ruby and Sapphire. After all, this meteorite was their original home, and they knew its weaknesses. Moreover, the two Pokémon had fought Deoxys before and could act as support.
The five Pokémon carried Ryan and Wallace towards the meteorite, and just then, Deoxys appeared. Deoxys, in its Speed Forme, attacked Ryan and his companions without hesitation, firing several Psycho Boost energy spheres.
Ryan used his bond with the two Rayquazas to communicate, both using Dragon Ascent, sending two green figures gliding through space towards Deoxys. However, Deoxys directly extended its two tentacle-like arms in Speed Forme, unleashing an invisible barrier towards the two dragons.
The dragons' Dragon Ascent struck an invisible wall, failing to hit Deoxys. The two dragons, now Mega Rayquazas, delivered bad news to Ryan: Domain!
Ryan's face instantly darkened: if it were a weak Deoxys, it would be easy to deal with, but with a Domain, its combat power would skyrocket!
"System, analyze it for me, what kind of Domain is it?" Ryan said urgently.
"Ding. Scanning started. Scan complete. This Deoxys's Aura is Fusion, and it also has a Fusion Domain. As for the effect, it can absorb other Deoxys to increase its own strength. Under Ryan's command, Solrock led Wallace back to the rocket. Ryan watched the two dragons fighting Deoxys and thought, "It's up to you two now. That's all we can do from here on out."
At Ryan's signal, the two dragons unleashed Blizzard, intending to freeze Deoxys. However, Deoxys was decisive; the Blizzard swept across a large area, freezing a portion of its body. But Deoxys immediately broke free from the ice, instantly regenerating the missing parts with Recover, and launched several Zen Headbutt attacks at the two dragons.
"Bang bang bang." A figure suddenly appeared; Mewtwo deflected all the Zen Headbutt attacks with Psychic. It telepathically said, "Ryan, I'll defend. Let Rayquaza attack without worry."
Ryan was somewhat curious about Mewtwo's ability to survive in space, but he didn't have time to think about it. The two dragons used Extreme Speed to accelerate, and their Giga Impact directly slammed into Deoxys. Deoxys tried to teleport away, but its body emitted a faint blue light. Mewtwo pointed its trembling hands at Deoxys with Disable, revealing the immense pressure it was under.
The Giga Impact struck Deoxys directly, shattering most of its body. However, it missed the crystal in its chest. Such an injury would be fatal to any Pokémon, but for Deoxys, it was a minor wound, easily healed by its Recover ability.
"Wallace, are you ready? I need backup! And when is Ho-Oh arriving?!" Ryan yelled at Wallace over the radio.
"Coming, one minute left," Wallace replied.
But in that moment of distraction, Deoxys broke free from Mewtwo's Disable, unleashing a Hyper Beam that rendered Mewtwo unable to battle.
The situation was becoming dangerous!
