Chapter 55 - SUPRISE STRIKES

The city was quiet, but it was a deceptive calm. Daniel had sensed it hours before—the Gwangseong Quartet would try to challenge his Union's control tonight. Calm, calculating, and unshaken, he issued orders to his Union executives: strike first, hit hard, leave nothing to chance.

By midnight, Union members were already infiltrating the Quartet's key business locations. Shops, offices, karaoke rooms, internet cafes—everything was being secured or destroyed with surgical precision. Panic rippled through the Quartet's foot soldiers, high schoolers trained in brute force, now bewildered by the efficiency of middle school fighters who moved with the precision of seasoned professionals.

At the headquarters, the four brothers—Lee Hyun-soo, Lee Hyun-jin, Lee Hyun-woo, and Lee Hyun-tae—watched the chaos unfold. Reports streamed in: alarms tripped, guards incapacitated, assets seized.

"What… what the hell is happening?" Hyun-soo roared, slamming his fist against the polished table. His knuckles cracked under his own frustration.

"This is insane… it's like they knew exactly where we'd be!" Hyun-jin shouted, pacing.

Daniel appeared alone at the HQ entrance, silent as a shadow, his presence immediately sending a chill down the spines of every foot soldier. Fists raised, they charged him in a wave, hoping sheer numbers would overwhelm.

The first soldier swung at Daniel—a reckless, wide punch aimed at his head. Daniel ducked under it, planted his feet, and executed a spinning back kick to the attacker's chest, sending him flying into a metal staircase. A second soldier lunged with a clinch, attempting a chokehold, but Daniel countered with a wrist lock and shoulder throw, slamming him hard to the floor.

Another soldier tried a low sweep, aiming for Daniel's legs, but he leapt over it, twisting mid-air and landing perfectly, elbows driving into the next attacker's shoulders, leaving him dazed. Muay Thai knees, Kyokushin strikes, grappling takedowns, and fluid wrestling maneuvers—Daniel's movements were a symphony of violence, precise and relentless.

From the upper floor, the four brothers watched in horror. "It's… it's a kid," Hyun-jin breathed, eyes wide. "A middle schooler!?"

Hyun-woo slammed his palm against the railing, shaking his head. "Impossible… he's taking down my men like they're nothing."

Hyun-tae's lips twisted into a snarl. "Get him! Stop him!"

They leaped into the fray, attempting to coordinate. Hyun-soo rushed first, swinging with brute force, but Daniel sidestepped, grabbed his arm, twisted it, and threw him across the room with a clean wrestling slam. Hyun-jin tried a leg sweep, but Daniel caught him mid-step and flipped him backward, knees crushing into his torso as he hit the ground.

Hyun-woo and Hyun-tae, the younger twins, attacked together, but Daniel was already anticipating them. He blocked a punch with forearm strikes, countered with rapid jabs, then executed a spinning takedown, tossing them in opposite directions. Each brother attempted a grapple, a hold, or a punch—but Daniel's reflexes, precision, and calm ruthlessness made them look like amateurs.

The foot soldiers fell around him, groaning and unconscious. Daniel's aura radiated dominance; every movement exuded authority and lethal control.

Hyun-soo scrambled to stand, trembling. "Who… who are you?" he growled, rage and fear intermingling.

Daniel's eyes were cold, his small cruel smile like ice on fire. "I'm the one controlling this city tonight," he said softly, deliberately. "You four thought this was yours… thought you could intimidate my Union. Watch closely. Learn."

Hyun-jin spat on the ground, trying to regain his composure. "You're just a kid! Middle schooler! You can't—"

Daniel cut him off with a single strike to the chest, sending him stumbling backward. "I'm not just a kid. I'm what destroys your empire. Every weak link. Every soldier. Every illusion of control you have is gone."

Hyun-woo, trying to attack Daniel from behind, received a backflip elbow strike, followed by a wrestling-style scoop and slam. "This… this isn't happening!" he screamed.

Hyun-tae, panicking, backed away, only to be met with a precise side kick to the ribs, doubling him over. Daniel's every movement was calm, methodical, and merciless.

Finally, Daniel's gaze lifted to the four brothers, standing battered, bruised, and panicked. "You wanted to see a monster," he said, voice soft but cutting. "Here I am. And this… this is only the beginning. Bow down? Beg for mercy? Forget it. You'll remember tonight every second of your lives."

The HQ was silent. The Union's surprise attack had crippled the Gwangseong Quartet's defenses, and Daniel alone had showcased his dominance over every soldier and brother alike. The brothers, high schoolers with pride and experience, now realized the terrifying reality: they had underestimated a middle schooler, and that mistake would haunt them.
