getting ready, Cain buts on the noble class academy uniform, his specifically black and gold, contrasting the elite classes white and gold
'they say black is a more.. sophisticated color'
even putting on basic makeup to put in a good first impression, Cain practices his smile in the mirror, something he does every day
"I'm ready."
walking out toward the classroom, Cain help but wonder how his classmates will look due to what he has done
'this school misses out on so much money, but I'm not.'
he had made it so that this year on, any student can pay a... 'fair' sum of money for a personalized uniform
"i just switched out the gold accents to purple ones for mine."
purple had always been his favorite color even in his old world
and finally, he's here.
and with a deep sigh, he enters to find.. a blend of orderly chaos and multiple glares boring into him.
the princess clearly looking with curiosity, along with a few others, the two lion tribe twins full of hostility, and the weirdest one.. the vampire princess looking at him with a half curious half hostile gaze
'were here to make connections, and we placed the princess here for a reason.'
and so, with a warm practiced smile, Cain walks up to the seat directly next to the princess
"is it fine if i sit here princess?"
while you would expect a princess called a machine made to attain the throne to be cold.. she's quite a bit different, a large grin plastered on her face
'she looks like she's a kid who found a brand new toy'
"why of course! but may i ask for your name? also just Delilah is fine."
"alright then Delilah, my name is Cain, its a pleasure to be in your presence."
with a respectful half bow, he can see Delilah nodding in approval
"if i may be a bit rude... our class certainly seems to have some.. inner conflict."
"well of course there is Cain, there are many a nobles here, a few who even follow the prince, my main opposition, along with a vampire entering our academy for the first ever time in history, and even some beastmen.. who never really get along with us humans"
"i suppose your right, but its clear that with you and the prince here, there's going to be more tests involving competitions between our classes, so its quite a must for us to either get along or put aside our differences atleast during the tests."
"atleast someone agrees with me.."
deciding it would be a must for the class to get along later on, they agreed to work towards that goal together
"should we tell the other our abilities as a form of trust between us? though i already have an idea on yours since your quite the popular lady."
after a second of thought, Delilah agrees
"I'm a martial artist, and i have a blessing that allows me to use telekinesis, along with a weaker form of gravity manipulation."
"that is.. egregiously overpowered.."
unlike common belief, while not fully understood in this time period, people in this would still easily understand just how powerful gravity can be
"that it is, though my gravity part is still too week to use in an actual fight, i mostly manipulate a large number of swords, flying them around with my telekinesis"
"ah right, your a martial artist, that's an incredibly good fighting style. as expected of you"
while normally, she would attribute such compliments as him just being a suck up.. she cant help but actually feel flattered this time.. and also notice something
'were the same, were both manipulators and he's making it quite clear. i like him'
with a larger smile blooming on her head, and Cain bumping his own fist in his mind 'success' he explains his own power
"my blessing is just all around a production one, from potions to artifacts and even magitech"
"the academy doesn't allow any artifacts to be brought from outside the academy, but.. it matter not if i just make them here no?"
'iv landed on the jackpot today it seems'
Delilah cant help but feel as though she just made a very long lasting friendship today
"your right.."
Cain extends his hand
"for a long lasting friendship."
"for a long lasting friendship indeed."
Delilah grabs his hand back
they both sit down continuing to chat, until a handsome man with a lean physique and white hair comes up to them
'murphy briar, eldest son of the briar duchy'
flashing a respectful smile, Delilah addresses murphy
"its been a while, murphy. how have you been?"
scratching the back of his head, murphy replies
"alright, i suppose. how about you..?"
'someone has a crush'
"I'm quite alright murphy"
turning his gaze to me, murphy clearly has a hostile expression
'so that's why he's here, he's a jealous fool.'
but if he's going to be working with Delilah from now on, its better not to ruin her plans
'she's likely planning on using him to get the briar duchy under her control'
and so, Cain stands up, flashing a bright smile and grabbing murphy's hand
"I'm Cain, its a pleasure to meet someone as famous as you."
'people like him love having their ego's stroked'
"ah! uh yea.. its great to meet you too!"
putting on a dumb grin, its clear flattery works on murphy very well.
soon, a few other students join, such as Camelia Vicente, who comes from the Vicente duchy, specializing in poisons, drugs, mental magic and more
which would make one expect a darker type of person, but as bright as her pink hair, the short girl is like a living bubblegum, bouncy, and constantly excited. in essence, a busybody.
along with her is Chris feywin, the son of the feywin marquessate, who is well known for producing talented spirit mages, his hair dark and his eyes green, although he's far more reserved than everyone else.
'all great connections.'
and so, the five of them get more acquainted, atleast until their teacher enters, an incredibly serious man, with black hair neatly slicked back, a monocle decorating one of his eyes
"everybody take a sit."
soon enough, the class is dead silent.
"you will address me as professor Richard or just professor, is that understood?"
its quite obvious it wasn't an actual question, but the two lion tribe siblings profusely nod, not quite yet familiar with human interactions yet. although the professor doesn't seem to mind much
"since its only your first day of the academy, you need to make your timable, i will be handing out papers in a minute, and you have two hours to hand them in. now get to work."
being handed a paper, Cain already crosses of everything he needs
'iv already gone through all the classes yesterday'
he had obviously chosen the production class course, so magitech, blacksmithing and rune classes are already mandatory automatically, on the magic side, he had added elemental manipulation and the basics of magic.
exercise classes are already mandatory, so he had only added martial arts basics, and spearmanship classes 'i would assume Echidna used a trident, which is indeed cool. but the spear is far better, to my great sadness'
along with these, there are the other mandatory ones, like history and literature
and so, without a second thought, he submits his papers to the professor, who raises a brow at how quickly he had submitted it, but doesn't say anything.
returning back to his seat, he can see a few inquiring looks, the only one he indulges though are those of the princess, who is his deskmate
"i had already went through all the courses and classes beforehand, i simply needed to cross them off and submit them."
with a soft 'ah' she returns to her paper
"telekinesis is one of the most basic types of magics, and there are some mages who specifically specialize in it, so they have a class dedicated to it."
"oh and there's one called blessing understanding, which focuses on teaching you how to train your blessing effectively, the other classes id suggest would simply being for the martial arts courses."
since he has nothing to do anyways, Cain helps Delilah with her timable, who submits it quite soon with his help
after a while more, everyone is done submitting their papers.
"while you will only begin your chosen classes tomorrow, you will still be going to the mandatory classes for today, so go to the training grounds, there is an exercise joint class with the elite class being held right now."

man this was a shorter chapter huh? oh well. off to the writer tips!
word count? the simple answer is 2000 words, its not too long for a writer to well write, but plenty for the reader though if its too much you can do less or more, due to the fact this was such a small tip, il add another one!
how often should i update chapters? the short answer is once ever one to two days, iv myself read plenty of novels where writers burn themselves out and make lower quality chapters due to publishing ever. single. day. though yo should be fine to do so atleast for the first 50 or so chapters, since you can slow down once you've got a decent chapter count
