HISD Chapter 101 Continuation of the Marvel Universe Dream

Deep beneath the earth, hidden seas churned.

A whirlpool erupted, waves crashing upward as a monstrous figure clad in dark armor pierced through the surface. Covered in bone spikes, the giant hurled a bloodied foe high toward the crystal ceiling above. In its other hand, it flung an axe crackling with thunder and a three-pronged trident.

Whoosh!

Two sharp howls split the air as the weapons struck true, embedding themselves in thick armored shoulders and pinning the hulking, horn-broken figure against a floating mountain.

Steppenwolf's body hung limp, silver-scaled armor cracked and soaked in blood. He groaned once more, but resistance had long since fled his body. His head dropped, powerless.

On the nearby island shore, Ancient Doomsday Yi Meng toyed idly with the trembling Mother Box.

"Mister Doomsday… what is that?"

Atlanna stood on the sand, watching in fear. Her curvaceous frame trembled, a hand covering her mouth as the words slipped out. The moment they left her lips, she regretted them, wishing she hadn't drawn his attention.

Yet, the bone-spiked monster seemed in an oddly good mood. "A watchdog," he replied casually, before sitting down in the sand to bask beneath the glow of the earth's crystal sun.

"A… watchdog?"

Atlanna blinked in shock, staring at the pinned body. Steppenwolf's massive, savage form still radiated terrifying vitality. Even now, both flesh and armor were regenerating at a pace visible to the naked eye. The unnatural aura pressing from his body was without question that of a formidable alien.

Atlanna stood frozen in disbelief. Only Mister Doomsday would dare call such a being a dog.

Yi Meng set the Mother Box aside. The yellow gem-shaped phantom on his brow dimmed until its last flicker of warmth vanished, leaving only the blazing crimson fire surging in his eyes.

A full month had passed in this DC dream. He had managed to retain control, acting with reason rather than losing himself to destructive instinct. That was already a remarkable improvement, and his exploration of this world had deepened.

The only pity was that he could not yet return to reality, could not confirm if his dream progress had improved his real condition. Still, with the Doomsday form stabilized here, Yi Meng believed his out-of-control state in the real world must be improving.

It was time to try switching back to the Marvel dream.

He focused, reaching for the anchor points he had once set in that other universe.

But the Marvel dream was unlike DC. That one had required leaping through the Quantum Realm, leading him into a completely unfamiliar branch reality. Even Yi Meng had no guarantee he could return to it smoothly.

"Teacher… do you still remember me?"

A childlike, plaintive voice echoed endlessly in his mind.

Yi Meng's eyes snapped open. His electronic gaze fell upon the interior of a luxurious penthouse suite, sunlight pouring through a wide glass window overlooking a bustling modern city.

This was the Marvel Universe, in the dream of its past timeline.

The Avengers Tower—one of Stark Industries' crown jewels. A personal suite arranged for him by Tony Stark himself.

"I did it… I switched back from the DC dream."

Vision Yi Meng exhaled slowly, Morgan's tender voice still lingering in his thoughts.

Yet this timeline should not have Morgan Stark.

He frowned. Could it mean he had arrived in the true past of the same Marvel universe where Morgan existed, not just a parallel branch? If so, Morgan could still serve as an anchor here.

Yi Meng raised a vibranium finger, tapping the Mind Stone embedded in his brow as he pieced together the chain of events.

He had first entered Marvel as "Saturday," the AI created for Morgan Stark, in the year 2024. After leaving the Stark family, he met Wanda Maximoff in Westview and gained a fragment of the Mind Stone.

Seeking the full gem, he had used the Avengers' time machine to travel back through the Quantum Realm, arriving in 2014 and taking the place of Vision.

If he truly had become Vision in the genuine past, then by history, he was destined to die at Thanos's hand four years later. Vision must die—that was recorded fact.

Even Wanda had known a Vision called "Little Dream."

But Yi Meng refused to accept such a fate. He had already rewritten history once by saving Quicksilver. He would not be bound by inevitability.

"Too many riddles… No matter. First, I'll create Pym Particles and a time machine."

There was no chance he would sit still, waiting for Thanos to kill him. Whatever the tangle of past and future, he would seize control and return to his original Marvel timeline.

"Stark has just left Avengers Tower. He's heading to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters to discuss the Ultron and Sokovia incidents."

Yi Meng had already hacked into the tower's network systems, quietly taking command of its defenses. With the intel secured, he projected a perfect holographic duplicate of himself, lounging on the couch with eyes closed.

Mysterio's technology—so flawless it could fool anyone.

The real Vision Yi Meng faded from sight, cloaked in invisibility, and drifted out of the tower like a ghost, soaring into the skies above New York.

He accelerated toward a quiet district. In this past timeline, a time machine did not yet exist, but Pym Particles certainly did.

Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man, had developed them after World War II. Following a fallout with S.H.I.E.L.D., he had withdrawn completely, taking his secrets with him to found Pym Technologies in New York.

"There it is."

Hovering above the high-security Pym Technologies headquarters—a sprawling villa-like compound—Vision Yi Meng remained intangible and invisible, phasing past defenses.

Every laser scanner and alarm silently bent to his will, their controls slipping into his hands.
