Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 - A Hard Rise, A Cruel Fall

His voice didn't come out from his mouth. He tried, but nothing came.

But after seeing her, something else happened. On the lower part of his body, his soft part started rising, and it became hard.

From the front of his pants, you could see it poking out, like something was pushing out and couldn't stay hidden anymore.

Her glowing eyes turned narrow, staring right at him.

As she looked down on him, her glowing eyes turned harsh, like she wanted to squash him. And she wasn't even looking at his face.

"Pathetic. Pervert. How dare you stand like this in front of me," she said, her voice cold.

"Is that all? I've seen ants carry bigger things."

She stood there with a disgusting look on her face, her lips curled, her eyes filled with hate, like the sight of Liu Yang was dirty.

She was disgusted with how he was standing there, with that shameful bulge showing clear through his pants, hard because of her.

Then she lifted her hand, slow, and waved it from left to right.

In an instant the bulge was gone. Vanished. His lower body was empty, nothing left.

Then she waved her hand from bottom to top. His mouth, which was wide open, shut close right away.

Her eyes were wide now, glowing, filled with shock and fear.

Liu Yang tried to speak, tried to mutter something, but no sound came out. Still, the fear was clear in his eyes, the same kind of fear you see in a prey's eyes when the hunter catches them with claws and holds them tight.

His lower legs were shaking bad. His knees almost gave out. His heart was beating too fast, like a cheetah running wild, so fast it felt like it could burst open any moment.

"I brought you here to let you teleport as a Hero in another world," the goddess said, her voice was cold.

"You were meant to fight the Demon King as the Hero… but looking at you now, I regret even wasting the call."

"But after seeing how pathetic and pervert you are, I will banish you as a demon instead."

Only then did Liu Yang realize the truth. His body had teleported into the goddess's domain that night, and she had pulled him there so she could send him into a new world as a Hero.

But after seeing how ugly, how perverted, how pathetic he was, she changed her mind. She hated the sight of him, hated the way he stood there with his shameful bulge pointed out through his pants.

Her face twisted in anger. She lifted her hand and waved it from top to bottom.

At once, a black portal opened under his feet. The pull was strong. Liu Yang lost his balance and dropped into the portal, his whole body sinking down like he was falling in water, but there was nothing around him.

He looked up. The two white pillars were already gone. The stars were gone too. Only darkness was left, darkness stretching in every direction, no end anywhere.

His fat arms waved around, trying to grab something, but there was nothing there, only emptiness. His legs kicked, slow at first, then faster, but it didn't matter. He kept falling down, down, deeper and deeper.

He tried to scream, but no sound came out. His mouth opened wide, but it was like the portal swallowed his voice before it left his throat.

The fear in his eyes grew bigger and bigger. His heart beat fast, so fast it hurt, each beat like a drum inside him. His body was heavy from inside, but at the same time light, like he was weightless and sinking forever.

As Liu Yang kept falling in the black void, something strange started happening to his body.

His round chubby face began to change. The fat on his cheeks pulled in, slimming down, his jawline coming out sharp.

His nose changed shape, it looked sharper now, not wide and flat like before. His lips shaped better, and slowly the ugly face he always hated was gone.

In its place was a face that looked handsome, almost too handsome, like it belonged to someone else, like a prince on a white horse.

His messy pointed hair, the kind that always stuck out in all directions, didn't stay the same. It started moving and then it became short. The color turned white, smooth and neat. It was not wild anymore. It was shining, almost like each strand was polished steel catching the light.

His fat body started shrinking. The wide belly pulled in, smaller and smaller, the thick arms and legs also changing.

The fat rolls went away and muscle came out instead. His chest was not soft anymore, it looked hard now, his arms were tight, and his whole body looked slim and strong, like it was made for speed and power.

His sweaty palms dried, and the skin looked clean now, smooth, with no sign of the nervous wetness that always followed him before.

But there was one thing that stood out the most.

On his head, just above his forehead, two small horns started to push out. Black, sharp at the tip, curling just a little. They marked him clear, no doubt. He was not human anymore. He was a demon.

Still he kept falling in the void, but his body was no longer the same.

After his body changed, suddenly he found himself lying on the ground. It was so fast, like the blink of an eye. One moment he was falling in the black void, and the next moment he was not.

He looked under him and there was green grass. He was lying on it, the soft edges of grass pressing against his back and arms.

It felt strange, like when you blink and there is nothing, and then you blink again and suddenly a ghost is standing right in front of you. That's how instant it was.

"Ahhh… where am I?"

"Ouch!"

Liu Yang tried to push himself up but failed. The fall from the portal had thrown him here, into some new world, but his head was not clear. The time he spent in the void made his mind spin.

His eyes were open, but nothing was steady. The whole sky above him was turning, spinning round and round, making him feel sick.

It was the same feeling you get when you run in circles too many times in one spot, and then stop suddenly. Your legs can't stay still, your head feels heavy, and your mind refuses to let you stand.

That was how Liu Yang felt now.
