Our character can be seen making their way to their place of work, or, should they say, what the R.O.B. forced as their intended workplace, as they didn't get a say in it.
Put simply, they worked at a strip club owned by the one and only Kingpin, a big boy gang boss, who no one was dumb enough to cross, and implanted memories stated that our girl Evelyn was one of the best pole dancers given by that fucking R.O.B.
The almighty being gave them Karen Stars body, to those uninformed, this was the body of Power Girl, one of DCs most powerful superheroines, given the fact she was a Kryptonian, just like Superman, or probably because of the big tiddies.
Having this kind of body wasn't something Evelyn had a say in, the being who sent her here spun a wheel, and it just so happened to land on Power Girl, it was a massive boon to be sure, then the wheel landed on Marvel as her new home, she didn't know which reality it was but so far it seemed to be a mix of MCU and some other obscure comics and movies.
But that wasn't the end of the Wheel of Fortune and Misfortune, oh no, because after getting a Boon, a world, she was given a Drawback as well, multiple Drawbacks.
Normally, it should just be one, unfortunately, the dial landed on 'Triple It', which meant she was slated for an extra three Drawbacks, but then her luck went even further down as the wheel hand landed on 'Enhanced Drawback' which again spun the wheel but this time whatever it landed on, that specific drawback would have its effects boosted.
The first Drawback is 'Wanted: Dead or Alive'; with this drawback enhanced, it wouldn't just limit the pursuers to regular bounty hunters or government people, it would include superpowered individuals going out of their way to hunt down Evelyn to kill or capture her for whatever reason, however it didn't just limit it to Marvel characters, oh no, different characters from entirely different worlds would be after her ass now, in other words, it was open season for Evelyn.
The second Drawback was 'Uncompromising Geas', so what was sort of compulsion was Evelyn forced to follow to the letter, the R.O.B. made it so it took the form of her being unable to use her Kryptonian powers in her civilian identity, which proved to be very frustrating considering what she has to deal with in her normal civilian life.
The final and third Drawback, 'Unwanted Obsession', would be that someone would be paying an unhealthy amount of attention to Evelyn, and she didn't know who it would be, nor know when they would see them, so that meant they could see them in a year, a week, tomorrow, or perhaps in a few hours.
Thankfully, though, she was allowed to make one Wish, though it was limited as R.O.B. prohibited her from wishing to be basically GOD, and she was not allowed to wish for something that negated the drawbacks, so with that in mind, Evelyn needed something that would make her life a little bit easier, she needed something that could help her in her civilian life, as she couldn't use her new body's natural powers.
She wished for Eidolons' powers from Worm, but specifically modified it to suit her needs, meaning Evelyn wished for it to be able to give her five powers with five chargers to power them, a single charge would make the power in question to be not ideal but useful for mundane tasks, but applying all five to single one would turn it into something that would ether level a city, protect something of that scale, make or enhance certain items and people to that level, but that depends on the power she would choose though.
Power One, 'Tinker' Charge 1 handyman. Charge 5 Evil Genius.
Power Two, 'Thinker' Charge 1 gut feeling. Charge 5 I KNOW. I SEE.
Power Three, 'Singularity' Charge 1 small push and pull. Charge 5 discount Gojo.
Power Four, 'Healing' Charge 1 goodbye small cut. Charge 5 Biomanipulation.
Power Five, 'Magic' Charge 1 pretty lights and small zaps. Charge 5 Magic God.
Once the choice were made, Evelyn woke up in a bed that wasn't hers, but at the same time, it was thanks to the implanted knowledge from this life.
The first few weeks were rough, she was in another world, another life with seemingly abysmal prospects.
But little by little, she was living, moving forward with life, doing what she could with her situation and getting used to her new powers.
Well, she could use her Charge Set power set in her normal civilian life, but not her Kryptonian heritage, thanks in part to the Geas that placed the mental block on it, so once she made a super suit, only then could she freely use her biological abilities to their fullest.
So, Evelyn got to work knitting together the Power Girls suit and enhancing it with powerful spells from a Charge 5 Magic set, the suit would be durable to an insane degree, it would withstand nukes, the surface of the sun, it would repair itself, and project certain perception filters and auras on people from various conditions, such as passively making people conveniently forget that Evelyn changed into her hero suit right in front of them.
The power at her fingertips was absurd, she wasn't a god, but nearly, all it would require was a few certain actions and the acquisition of certain things
And yet Evelyn simply didn't have that kind of personality, the desire, the ambition, the hunger.
They were content with their current power and, at this moment in time, didn't feel the need to push themselves to be something like the One Above All, better known as Stan Lee.
Right now, they would scheme a way to leave their current job and start a manga comic book store right in New York, the idea came to them as they spent one free day lazing about, looking for entertainment online, trying to see if the books in this world were the same as in her last life, to continue where she left off.
The problem they found out quickly was that some of the books and manga series didn't exist here, including some games and tv shows, sure, Marvel had Star Wars and Aliens, but they didn't have Halo nor comics like Invincible.
So Evelyn figured using her magic to extract what she remembered and make sure such works of fiction would exist within this Marvel AU, it would grant her an excellent source of income and allow readers in this world to consume more exciting stories that they had never heard of.
Whilst she set up her new career as a book writer and book store owner, Evelyn had prepared everything she needed to make her debut as Power Girl to the world.
On that day, she didn't fly in to stop a bank heist nor help put out a fire, mainly because there weren't any.
No, she made her day view unwittingly, replicating the cover image of the first comic book featuring Superman.
Saving a mother-daughter couple from a truck barrelling towards them.
It happened so fast, so unexpectedly, yet it set in motion a series of events that would forever change the future.
Evelyn, now in her Power Girl persona, was flying above New York, ready to help those in need, save those whose lives were in danger.
Her super-hearing caught the sound of something breaking and the loud horn of a truck.
Zeroing in on the sound, her eyes found the sight of a blue freight truck moving at unreasonable speeds down a hill right towards a family couple crossing the street.
Faster than any man-made invention, Power Girl shot towards the tragedy about to happen, her blinding speed made it so that she would be right in front of the truck, allowing her to lift it up, arresting its speed, stopping it right before the family.
Once the noise faded, there was just stunned silence in the wake of the unimaginable happening before the eyes of the city goers.
Power Girl set the truck down, seeing it wouldn't be going anywhere now, she turned her attention to the wide-eyed mother-daughter couple.
"It's okay, you're safe now, I am Here." With a kind smile, the expression of those present broke into motion.
Exclamations, hushed yet loud whispers, shock and disbelief in equal measure pervaded the surroundings.
Evelyn though, after making sure the family duo was okay, moved on to the truck driver, floating up to the driver's side and meeting the bewildered man's gaze, greeting him with concern for his well-being.
"Sir, are you okay?" the man blinked owlishly at the soft yet caring tone coming from this strangely dressed buxom floating woman before him.
"I...y-yes, I'm okay." his hammering heart was settling, yet he was still stuck to his seat, he wasn't sure if what he was seeing was real.
With some encouragement, Power Girl carefully got the man out of the cab and onto the sidewalk, where a fairly large crowd had gathered to bear witness and record the historic event happening right in front of them.
"It's good to see you're all safe." Evelyn floated off the ground, ready to fly off after ensuring both the family and the truck driver were tended to.
Before she could fly off the little girl called out.
"Excuse me, are you a superhero?" That question, filled with curiosity and a special kind of innocence, kept Evelyn there for a little bit.
She looked back, smiling widely to the child with eyes full of wonder and awe.
"Indeed I am, I just started today, and as you know, every hero has a name, for you little one, you can call me Power Girl" with her introduction done she rose higher and fly off, slowly at first but then like lighting she blasted off, ensuring her sonic booms were negated by her Magic so peoples eardrums and glass windows wouldn't shatter from the sound.
Throughout the week, scenes like today were happening not just in New York but all over America itself.
Evelyn, as Power Girl, became a sensation that the world just couldn't look away from.
An honest to god hero had come and saved the day.
