Chapter 124 - Chapter 121: Optimus Prime's New Abilities

"In this massive battle, different characters handle different objectives.

Dominic and Letty use their driving skills to carry the Allspark, racing through the city streets, buying time while waiting for reinforcements from the Autobots and human military.

Lennox's mission is basically leading his squad, showcasing what ground forces can do. You can also coordinate with aerial support—calling in missile strikes to take down Decepticon Transformers.

The battle truly hits its climax after Autobot and human reinforcements arrive.

At this point, you can also unlock Transformer characters like Optimus Prime and Ironhide.

The fight between Optimus Prime and Megatron is genuinely spectacular.

As leader of the Autobots, Prime's combat power is seriously formidable.

Unfortunately, Optimus Prime can't fly and basically only fights effectively in robot mode.

His vehicle form—a semi-truck—is way too clunky for city driving. Basically zero combat utility.

Unlike the Decepticons. Megatron and Starscream? Their fighter jet forms have absolutely explosive combat power.

Actually, when I reached this point, I didn't really understand why the good guys always transform into civilian vehicles with minimal combat capability, while the Decepticons get fighter jets and tanks.

Their power levels aren't even comparable.

So I specifically checked Stormwind's official Transformers lore database.

According to official canon, on the planet Cybertron, Transformers are divided into civilian and military classes.

Originally, the Decepticons were mostly military-class Transformers.

Later, during the Cybertronian Civil War, many civilian Transformers joined the Decepticons too.

Some military Transformers also joined the Autobots, but currently, the Autobots who've come to Earth—like Optimus Prime and Bumblebee—were originally civilian-class.

That's why they can't transform into tanks and fighter jets.

Honestly, this disappointed me a little at first. But when I played to the very end, I discovered Stormwind had a HUGE surprise waiting.

I'll keep that a mystery for now.

As for why Cybertron erupted into civil war, how Transformers came to exist, and other background details—the official lore database on Transformer worldbuilding is incredibly rich and basically explains everything.

You can check it out yourselves. I won't go through all of it here.

This video mainly covers the main storyline.

If I have time later, I'll put together a dedicated video about Cybertron's history and Transformer lore."

"Anyway, back to the main story.

Although Dominic and Letty were constantly on the run with the Allspark, the arrival of human military and Autobot reinforcements instantly turned the tide of battle.

Just when I thought victory was certain, the Allspark suddenly became unstable, releasing a burst of energy that directly transformed Dominic's car into a hostile Transformer.

It threw both of them out of the vehicle, and the Allspark slipped from their grasp.

Right at that moment, Starscream swooped in, snatched the Allspark, and delivered it to Megatron.

After Megatron obtained the Allspark, he transformed the incoming human fighter jets, armed helicopters, armored vehicles, and random cars throughout the city—ALL of them into Decepticon Transformers. Rapidly expanding his forces. Instantly reversing the entire situation.

Playing through this part, I literally lost my mind.

Honestly, this cutscene was absolutely spectacular.

No more rambling—here's the actual footage. Experience it for yourselves..."

The video then inserted the in-game cinematic from that moment.

When those human vehicles and aircraft also transformed into Transformers, the scene was genuinely breathtaking.

Derek felt his blood pumping, wishing he could jump into the battle to save the city and repel the Decepticon forces.

"Pretty insane, right?

Let me briefly explain something here.

Some people might not have noticed certain details while playing.

The Allspark was severely depleted due to overuse during the civil war. Its energy was already running critically low.

If the Allspark hadn't been nearly exhausted, Megatron could probably have transformed ALL machines on Earth into Decepticon Transformers.

THAT would have been a truly terrifying disaster.

But even so, the sudden addition of so many Decepticons completely reversed the battle situation.

Fortunately, these newly created Decepticons were still very weak—low combat power, minimal experience. Human soldiers still had a fighting chance against them.

Bumblebee's weapons also made quick work of the newborn Decepticons.

Otherwise, I genuinely think this battle would've been unwinnable."

"This final battle lasted a VERY long time, but honestly, the entire process wasn't boring at all.

The plot twists, the jaw-dropping setpieces, the constant reversals—it made the game genuinely thrilling to play through.

The way to clear Volume One is to control Optimus Prime—or control other characters to assist Prime—in seizing the Allspark.

During Prime's struggle with Megatron, he successfully inserts the Allspark directly into Megatron's energy core, burning out the cube and killing Megatron!"

"After Megatron's death, the remaining Decepticons grab his body and retreat rapidly.

Humans and Autobots establish official cooperation and begin hunting down the scattered Decepticons.

At this point, Volume One's storyline basically concludes.

In Volume Two, Dominic and Letty's arc also wraps up completely.

Lennox is the only human character remaining—everyone else is a Transformer.

Volume Two also introduces a brand new boss: The Fallen. A guy even more twisted than Megatron.

Even Megatron—the Decepticon leader himself—calls The Fallen 'Master,' which shows just how powerful he is and how high his status was on Cybertron.

Volume Two's plot also digs into another piece of Cybertronian history—a long-sealed secret.

To help everyone better understand the later storyline, I'll briefly explain the background lore afterward.

This is my interpretation based on the game plot and official data, so there might be some inaccuracies. Bear with me."

"In Volume Two, I mostly played as Optimus Prime.

I like to call him just 'Prime.'

If you play this character, heads up: during a major battle in the middle section, when Prime gets ambushed 1v5, he WILL be killed by Starscream's sneak attack.

At this point, you might think you need to reload and retry?

Nope. Here it directly transitions to a cutscene and prompts you to either choose a new character OR reload a save.

This design is actually really interesting.

If you choose a new character, the story continues normally and doesn't affect subsequent events. Prime stays dead for a while.

However, if you reload a save, you get the chance to flex your skills and win this incredibly difficult 1v5 battle.

And yeah—I won it. (Applause appreciated here.)

Seriously, if you utilize Prime's combat abilities properly, he's genuinely the strongest fighter on Earth.

But in this volume, our Optimus Prime also undergoes a MASSIVE upgrade.

Little hint: after the transformation, Prime not only gains flight capability, but also TWO new alternate forms, plus a new ability that I think is absolutely incredible—Combination!

Now, let's get into the detailed breakdown of Volume Two..."

Watching this, Derek's interest grew even stronger.

Optimus Prime could fly. Gained two new transformation modes. AND a combination ability?

That sounded insane.

Just as Derek was getting hyped and desperate to know what happened next, his boss suddenly called—asking to be picked up at the building entrance.

Derek reluctantly closed the video, started his car, and headed out.

While driving, his mind kept wandering to the Transformers storyline.

Fortunately, he'd been driving professionally for years. Even without full concentration, his hands knew the route by instinct.

After picking up his boss and dropping him off at the hotel, Derek could finally clock out.

The moment he got home, he was logging in.

Transformers wasn't going to play itself.
