Chapter 123 - Chapter 120: Cybertron

As of 12 PM Eastern time, the cumulative global login count for Transformers reached 1.5 billion, with a peak concurrent player count of 1 billion.

This successfully shattered two Infinite Realms records: highest concurrent players and highest cumulative logins. It also set a new record for the platform's overall concurrent user count.

Not only that, but before and after the Transformers launch, player counts for other Infinite Realms content collectively plummeted by 80%. After Transformers went live, login numbers for many games even dropped to zero.

This unprecedented phenomenon truly stunned industry observers.

Although everyone knew that Transformers' groundbreaking creativity was genuinely excellent and highly appealing—and that it had instantly achieved global awareness thanks to the Infinite Realms Carnival—they expected its launch to cause a stir.

But nobody expected the stir to be THIS massive. Practically an industry-wide earthquake that emptied out every other game on the platform.

However, even under such circumstances, the Avengers and Death Race still maintained tens of millions—even hundreds of millions—of active players. This caused many competing developers to feel genuinely disheartened.

While players enthusiastically experienced the new story Transformers offered, major global media companies and content creators were equally busy—producing game-related reports, livestreams, videos, and a flood of derivative content that appeared online like geysers, all racing to capture the first wave of traffic.

In an underground parking garage in Miami, Marcus Hayes was watching a Transformers gameplay video through his VR glasses. He worked as a driver—specifically, a private chauffeur for a corporate executive.

This morning, before dawn, he'd driven his boss to meet a client out of state. During a rest stop at a service station, the timing happened to coincide with the Transformers launch. He'd snuck into the restroom to log in and played for less than ten minutes before having to leave.

It left him wanting so much more.

Unfortunately, his job meant he truly didn't have time for a proper play session right now. So he could only watch gameplay videos to satisfy his craving, then play properly when he wasn't busy.

"Hey everyone, it's GamingWithMike. The new Stormwind release Transformers officially launched at 7 AM this morning. I've been grinding for over ten hours straight without food or sleep to get this video out for you guys. Time crunch means the production's a bit rough, so bear with me.

Alright, let's get into it.

When you first enter the game, there are only four characters to choose from. Three human characters: Dominic, Letty, and Lennox.

The only Transformer character available at start is Bumblebee. Optimus Prime, Ratchet, and Ironhide can only be unlocked mid-game, and more Transformer characters become available later. But I haven't finished the full playthrough yet.

If you choose Dominic, Letty, or Bumblebee, the starting plot matches the promotional video: they get captured by human Sector Seven special forces.

Bumblebee is restrained and transported to Sector Seven. After Dominic and the others are brought in, they're interrogated. They explain to the Sector Seven agents that the Autobots and Decepticons are both searching for the Allspark, which was lost on Earth. Megatron's plan is to use the Allspark to convert all machines on Earth into Decepticons, then conquer the planet.

Afterward, Dominic and Letty are taken to a massive underground bunker, where they see the frozen Megatron and the enormous Allspark Cube. They also learn that Megatron was discovered by a human Arctic expedition team decades ago, brought back, and kept frozen there ever since.

Let me just vent real quick: whoever was running Sector Seven back then must have had rocks for brains, storing Megatron and the Allspark in the same facility. That's like hand-delivering a sheep to a tiger's mouth, right? But considering they didn't understand what they were dealing with at first, I'll give them a pass. For now.

Anyway, moving on.

If you choose the Lennox character, you start at a military base in Qatar.

After the Decepticon attack there, your squad escapes into the desert. On the way, you're attacked by a giant mechanical scorpion. Finally, you manage to contact headquarters, which sends drone support to drive off the scorpion—even breaking off one of its tails.

Important note here: this tail is basically the root of all evil. This thing can actually transform into a small Transformer on its own. Or rather, this was part of the Decepticon conspiracy all along.

Lennox and his team get extracted back to the US and taken to Sector Seven to report what happened at the Qatar base. The broken scorpion tail is also transported there for research and storage.

At this point, this storyline converges with Dominic and Letty's storyline. They all meet at Sector Seven, and Lennox also sees the frozen Megatron there.

Afterward, the Sector Seven director tests Allspark energy on these people who've come into contact with Transformers—turning an ordinary electronic device into a small hostile robot.

At the same time, that scorpion tail that was brought into Sector Seven? While staff aren't paying attention, it transforms into a small robot, infiltrates the base's systems, and sends signals to all Decepticon members.

Then it hacks the cryogenic system keeping Megatron frozen.

Megatron revives and immediately begins attacking the humans in the base.

Everything descends into chaos. Letty suggests that Sector Seven release Bumblebee and let him escape with the Allspark. The Sector Seven military refuses, and a standoff nearly turns violent. Fortunately, Lennox—understanding the gravity of the situation—uses force to compel the Sector Seven leadership to make a choice: release Bumblebee.

Bumblebee transforms the enormous Allspark into a small, basketball-sized cube and gives it to Letty for safekeeping. He then transforms into vehicle mode and drives Letty out of the facility. Dominic follows in a military vehicle, and Lennox's squad provides armed escort for the Allspark.

Megatron, now fully thawed, escapes Sector Seven and leads his Decepticon forces in pursuit.

Fortunately, Optimus Prime and the other Autobots arrive just in time. The two sides engage in a fierce running battle across the vast desert highway.

This part is REALLY exciting. You've got racing segments, shooting segments, and close-quarters combat all mixed together.

Choosing Dominic means you're playing a racing game. When the Decepticons catch up, Bumblebee transforms to fight them off while Letty—carrying the Allspark—jumps into Dominic's car. Then it's pure high-speed evasion, weaving through Decepticon attacks.

If you choose Bumblebee, it's mech combat. If you choose Lennox, it's tactical shooting. Different characters, different gameplay styles. Really clever design.

Eventually they escape to a city, where both sides engage in a desperate final battle. Honestly, the plot itself is relatively straightforward, but the Transformer combat is genuinely thrilling and the setpiece moments are incredibly impactful.

Here's what I really want to emphasize: you HAVE to try the Bumblebee character. It's insanely fun.

The process of switching between car mode and robot mode is visually stunning, and the controls seamlessly transition between driving mechanics and mech combat mechanics.

Moreover, cleverly utilizing the transformation ability opens up incredible combat possibilities. For example, the size difference between car mode and robot mode is dramatic—like you can grow or shrink at will. You can use this trick to dodge incoming fire at critical moments.

Not only that, but while driving, you can control Bumblebee to extend an arm, grab a nearby lamppost, and execute an insane 180-degree drift turn.

Or, while still in vehicle mode, you can partially transform—deploying an energy cannon on the roof or side of the car to attack enemies while maintaining full driving speed. The gameplay here feels similar to Death Race.

The most ridiculous thing I pulled off? I made the car suddenly sprout legs mid-chase and LEAP over an oncoming vehicle. Just... transformed the bottom half while keeping the top in car mode.

Basically, you can develop all kinds of creative playstyles. The freedom is incredible. Endlessly entertaining."
