Chapter 14 - Kent's Farm

"So do you have anywhere to live?" Clark asked

"I mean.... I do have my ship so I can live there." I responded in a confused tone.

"You cannot always live in your ship you know that." Clark said with a chuckle

"Speaking of your spaceship, where is it?" Clark asked with sudden interest

"Oh, my spaceship is outside of Metropolis in an area covered with trees." I replied

"I can take you to it." I said as I started to hover from the ground.

Seeing this, Clark immediately pulled my hand with enough strength to make me land.

"You should not use your powers in the open like that." He said

Just to test him, I looked at him and asked "Why"

He replied "Using them out in the open like that can be dangerous at times."

He then added "If you want to use them, I recommend using them in a way that other people cannot notice."

I nodded my head and then used my super speed powers to run to my ship.

I took about 5 whole minutes to reach my ship and Clark also arrived after 10 seconds though he came in flying.

I gave him a questioning look and he said "If you fly fast enough, normal people will not be able to see you."

Thinking about what he had said, he was right so I just turned towards the direction of my ship and tapped my amulet.

My spaceship exited camouflage mode and appeared for all eyes to see.

Clark looked at the ship while still floating in the air and said "You have quite the big ship there."

I responded to him without turning to face him "On Krypton it's considered somewhat small for someone with my status."

My ship's doors open and I float in with Clark behind me marveling at the sight of my ship.

We reached my ship's bridge and I look at him while asking "So what now?"

Clark then says "I know somewhere better to keep your ship, if your looking for a reliable place to keep it."

"Where?" I asked him with curiosity on my face.

"Follow these coordinates." He said

I take control of my ship's controls and fly my ship now back in camouflage mode to the coordinates that Clark gave me.

Guess what I ended up on a farm.

Yes the very same farm that Clark spent his childhood on.

This is the Kent farm in Smallville that Clark's earthly parents own, Mr. and Mrs. Kent.

On the farm, there was rice and some other seasonal crops that stretched out far.

There were also occasionally some wind mills that we passed by in the ship.

Soon, a wooden house that had a ground flour and another flour on top of the ground flour appeared in our sight.

The wooden house was painted with white and black it also had a small balcony Infront of it.

My spaceship landed at the side of the wooden house.

Clark flew out of my ship and landed at the front door of the house then pressed the door bell.

A door alarm sounded after the door bell was sounded and a somewhat old fat man with a head full of white hair opened the door.

Ok he was not that fat, he was kind of in the middle of fat and medium.

He was wearing casual clothes that were buggy, cream colored pants and a brown T-shirt.

The old man who am guessing is Mr. Kent, Mr. Kent, Clark's father lit up with a smile and hugged Clark.

"Clark, It's good to see you." said Mr. Kent as he hugged Clark

"It's good to see you too Pa." replied Clark as he enjoyed the warm embrace of his Earthly father.\

Mr. Kent eventually broke free from the hug and invited us into the house.

Beyond the door of the house was a simple design of a house with a sitting room connected to a dinning with bedrooms upstairs.

How I know bedrooms are up, it's because I used my X-ray vision.

Me and Clark sat down on a couch while Mr. Kent sat on a wooden chair.

Clark introduced me to Mr. Kent and told him about my story.

He also told me of the story of how he was adopted by the Kent's.

Mr. Kent listened attentively to Clark's narration and looked at me with pity in the end.

I looked at him and said "Am fine so there's no need to worry."

Clark spoke "Currently we are looking for a place he can stay and also keep his ship."

Mr. Kent then replied "Well, Tal-El is always welcome to be here but I don't think keeping his ship here is a permanent solution."

"Don't you have that big house of yours at the North Pole?" Mr. Kent asked.

"You mean the Fortress of Solitude?" Clark responded

My ears perked up when I heard the words Fortress of Solitude.

That was basically all of the House of El's inheritance in one structure and it probably has a lot of Kryptonian stuff that is deemed illegal.

Some stuff there are not even Kryptonian but are useful none the less so am interested in that place.

"It is an option." Clark said as he contemplated.

As we were still talking, I picked up a sound with my super hearing and it originated from Clark's ear.

"Watchtower to Superman, do you copy?"

Clark stopped contemplating, tapped his ear an said "Watchtower to Superman, I copy."

"What's the issue?"
