Among the many things I love bypassing the system of heaven is by far my favorite. I've cheated my way to this status, now I only have one more task and I'll be a full fledged angel and be able to live the rest of my life freely with nobody else in charge.. The first step to this is being assigned past these doors which lead to the stadium and an audience viewing of nearly every ethereal being ranked red or higher. As I walk in the place turns silent out of respect for those who were receiving blessings to journeys today. One by one each angel receives their fated planet until it was my turn..
"Step forward my dear." One of the elders that helped raise me speaks. I step forward in silence and bow my head at the committee of elders. "I see, your journey will be quite tough if not yet impossible. I'm unsure if it is worth the risk for if you fail it would strip your identity from you and punish you as a mortal."
"It cannot be that bad surely. I shall go on my journey."
"As you wish, the word of fate has decided to send you off to the dimension of Anodyne. Best of luck."
As I walk away I hold a confident face until I am alone. Anodyne?! That's the worst place to possibly ever have been assigned to! On top of that the 3 archangel who went themselves ended up never returning to Heaven or succeeding. How in the hell am I of all people supposed to get by?!
