Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 Want to kill me? You can try

Inside the factory, gunshots frequently rang out. Dozens of individuals, appearing to be gang members, were scattered throughout the factory, searching for their target, firing shots intermittently. Several people lay sprawled on the ground—their comrades, already knocked unconscious by someone. These individuals were armed, some with handguns, others with close-combat knives.

The target they were searching for was currently crouched behind a machine, panting heavily. This person wore a red, tight-fitting uniform, with a mask covering the upper part of his face, leaving his lower face exposed. Two small, devil-like horns protruded from his head, and a 'D' adorned the chest of his uniform. It was Daredevil. However, his current situation was far from good; he had a gunshot wound on his shoulder, which was bleeding profusely.

Daredevil felt his condition was extremely poor. He had initially gathered intelligence about a gang's criminal transaction location today, intending to round them all up. But upon arriving, he discovered it was a setup targeting him.

When he arrived, the abandoned factory suddenly came to life, and the machinery emitted an extremely loud noise, making him very uncomfortable.

Daredevil, Matthew Murdock, had lost his sight as a child due to exposure to radioactive materials spilled from a truck, but it had unexpectedly enhanced his other senses. His hearing, in particular, was extremely acute; normal everyday sounds wouldn't affect him. However, these machines had likely been specially modified by his enemies, emitting unusually sharp sounds that severely impacted his ability to pinpoint locations by sound.

Daredevil panted for a while, feeling his strength recover slightly. He decided to leave immediately; if he stayed any longer, he felt he would die there.

Daredevil pushed off the ground with his hands, propelling himself forward with his feet, and quickly lunged out, preparing to shift his position to the next cover. However, midway through his movement, his interfered super-senses detected danger. He swiftly twisted his body in mid-air, and a bullet grazed his right shoulder, drawing a trickle of blood, but Daredevil still managed to move behind another machine.

Daredevil didn't know who fired that bullet, but it was this hidden sharpshooter who had brought him to this point.

If it had only been those gang thugs, even with his hearing affected, he could have dealt with them given some time.

However, what Daredevil hadn't anticipated was that there was also a sharpshooter hidden in the shadows, whose shooting skills were exceptionally high. Daredevil was accidentally injured in the shoulder by him, and no matter where he was, the opponent could accurately locate him and open fire.

The gang members searching throughout the factory noticed the commotion in this area and were now rushing towards it.

Daredevil had no intention of lingering and immediately shifted locations again. As he continuously moved, although he tried his best to use his hearing to the fullest, bullets from the hidden gunman still grazed various parts of his body along the way. He felt his condition worsening, with more and more blood flowing from his wounds. He clutched the most severe wound on his shoulder, leaning against a nearby iron plate, panting heavily, hoping this would slow the bleeding. Meanwhile, the approaching gang members were already close to his hiding spot.

"Bang!"

Just then, a loud bang came from the direction of the factory gate, drawing everyone's attention.

Everyone's gaze turned to the source of the sound, only to see a hole appear in the middle of the heavy, old steel gate. Moonlight streamed through the hole into the dim factory.

"Hasagi!"

"Clang~" "Rip~"

A crisp sword sound rang out. Under the gaze of everyone in the factory, a sword qi, like a small tornado, directly tore through the gate and surged into the factory.

"Bang!!"

"Ah!"

The torn gate, propelled by the high-speed rotation of the sword qi tornado, was flung away, striking several unfortunate gang members. Those who were struck lay motionless on the ground, with only blood flowing out from under the door panel.

After advancing for a while, the tornado sword qi dissipated on its own. Noah also walked into the factory from the doorway, observing the terrified gang members staring at him and their comrades lying on the ground. Noah stepped forward.

"Hello everyone, staying up so late? Are you having a pajama party here?"

"Bang!"

As soon as Noah finished speaking, a bullet flew directly towards Noah's glabella.

"Clink~"

The bullet fell to the ground. A green shield, Bone Plating, appeared in front of Noah's head. This bullet, fired from the shadows, just happened to trigger Bone Plating.

Noah looked towards the direction of the gunshot. A figure was hastily departing. Although the area was dim and unlit, Noah's enhanced vision had already made out the person's appearance: someone wearing a black-and-white tight-fitting uniform with a hood featuring a Bullseye target in the center. This physical description matched the Marvel villain, Bullseye.

"Bang! Bang bang bang!..."

Bullseye's single gunshot seemed to be a signal, as the gang members present all pulled their triggers, firing frantically at Noah.

"Heh heh, want to kill me? You can try."

Noah, about to face a hail of bullets, showed no panic. Noah released his inner magic, transforming it into wind elements. He swung his baseball bat upwards, and a wind wall rose from the ground, blocking all of the enemies' bullets, which then floated in mid-air.

Several timid gang members, seeing this magical scene, were immediately frightened and ran away.

"They run quite fast."

Noah watched the fleeing individuals; their comical escape made him want to laugh. He then turned his gaze back to the thugs who were still shooting at him. It was time for his hunt.

"Have you shot enough? It's my turn!"

He dashed forward with a Steel Tempest, swinging his bat. A gang member who was firing his gun was directly cut down, the sword qi tearing at his wound.

With a bang, the sent-flying gang member crashed directly onto an old machine, a torn wound appearing on his chest, dripping blood.

After taking down one person with a single strike, Noah's actions didn't stop. He clenched his left fist, and green rune energy gathered. A left hook struck another gang member's face, the immense force sending him flying and spinning in the air. A stream of green energy flowed back to Noah from the defeated gang member. This was the life-draining effect of Grasp of Immortality, though it was somewhat weak. Noah couldn't even feel the slightest enhancement, perhaps because the life force of ordinary humans was too weak.

"Bang bang bang"

Several more bullets flew over. Noah advanced unhurriedly, wind coiling around him, enveloping his body and blocking all incoming bullets. At the same time, Noah swung his bat.

Several swift wind sword qi strikes were unleashed, hitting several of the shooting gang members. Then, a few more Grasp of Immortality strikes sent several more gang members spinning in the air. Accompanied by the factory's humming noise, Noah was engaged in a one-man rampage.

Several clicks came from the crowd as several gang members pulled out grenades, removed the pins, and threw them at Noah.

The grenades flew through the air, nearing Noah. Just as they were about to explode, a green energy enveloped the grenades, forming a shield that enclosed them. Then, the grenades inside the shield emitted a muffled thud, and the shrapnel from the explosion was also contained.

Noah lowered his left hand, and the rune energy dissipated. Just as the opponents threw the grenades, he had directly used the Resolve Rune's shield to envelop them, preventing the grenades from having any effect.

"The wind, it is ever-present!"

"Clang~"

As Noah unleashed a fierce gust of wind, the last few enemies were swept away by the sword qi storm. Noah weighed his bat. At this point, apart from him, there was no one left standing on the field.

"It feels… pretty good." Although Yasuo's template had brought him many combat memories, in Reality, this was Noah's first time doing something like this. Both in his previous life and this one, he had always been a law-abiding citizen before this.
