Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 The dilapidated factory rumbles

An inconspicuous alley on the street was extremely dark, with neither lamplight nor moonlight reaching it, and a few newspapers blown in by the wind lay on the ground. Suddenly, a Shadow flashed past; the strong wind generated by his high-speed movement stirred up the newspapers and dust on the ground.

The figure running quickly in the dark was Noah.

Noah moved as swiftly as a Wind Technique, or rather, he was the Wind Technique itself, as he used the Wind Technique's skill to transform his magic into Wind Technique that wrapped around his body, increasing his movement speed.

Upon reaching the end of the alley, he bent his knees and leaped directly onto the wall, making several consecutive jumps to land on the rooftop. After Noah steadied himself, he looked towards a specific point ahead.

In Noah's vision, an arrow was pointing in that direction. This was the system's mission guide. As soon as Noah accepted the mission, an indicator arrow appeared before him, startling him. He then asked the system and learned that this was a guiding function included with the mission system, and so he followed the arrow.

After leaving his home, he headed directly in the direction indicated by the system. His body had been enhanced, and his current running speed was very fast. He felt he could now run 20 meters per second, equivalent to 72 kilometers per hour. This speed was comparable to Captain America, and after Noah enveloped himself in Wind Technique, his speed soared to a terrifying 40 meters per second, 144 kilometers per hour, making him feel like a man of the wind.

After Noah confirmed his direction on the rooftop, he continued on his way, leaping to another rooftop. The Wind Technique wrapped around his body greatly accelerated his speed. Noah continued to run, jump, and leap through the building area. Gradually, the buildings became fewer and fewer, and he arrived at an undeveloped suburban area with many forests.

A few minutes later, he arrived near a secluded factory. He was wearing black clothes and had deliberately put on a black hat and mask to avoid attracting attention. He had also chosen routes with fewer surveillance cameras while traveling, so no one had seen him along the way.

"Is this the mission location? A factory in such a remote place?"

Noah stood on a tree branch, looking at the factory in front of him. The factory was still humming late at night, its equipment still running. However, Noah's enhanced hearing allowed him to distinguish several gunshots amidst the noise. He leaped down and rushed into the factory, fearing that he might be too late to rescue and the mission would fail, and he did not want his first mission to fail.

Jumping over the outer wall, Noah entered the interior of this industrial area. It was pitch black, with no light visible. The streetlights were mere decorations due to no power supply, and even their poles were rusty. The ground was covered with many fallen leaves and dust, showing no signs of life.

"It's an abandoned factory, looks very dilapidated." Noah said, looking at the desolate scene.

Noah continued to move in the direction indicated by the arrow. The further he went inside, the more he could hear a rumbling sound, as if many machines were operating simultaneously.

"Hmm? Someone restarted this abandoned factory. Why would they do that?" Noah wondered, hearing the rumbling sound.

As Noah approached the source of the noise, it was an abandoned factory building. Such abandoned factories were supposed to have ceased operations, but now the machines inside seemed to have been restarted. However, those machines must have been severely damaged, emitting harsh, sharp noises due to old or broken internal parts.

The factory gate was tightly shut, with over a dozen thugs guarding the entrance. However, they did not look like ordinary street thugs, as Noah could see that some of them were equipped with handguns. Inside the closed factory, besides the humming of old machinery, Noah also heard many gunshots.

"Let's go in and see first." Noah took out the baseball bat he had brought from home from his backpack. He didn't have a knife or anything similar at the moment, so he would use the only baseball bat he had at home. But for him, this baseball bat was also usable.

"Damn it, it's so noisy. Are the people inside done yet? Why does it take so long to deal with one person?"

"Exactly, exactly. If it were me, I'd just… Wait, look over there."

At this moment, the thugs guarding the gate were already impatient with the grating noise and were complaining to each other. Suddenly, one thug noticed something. He saw a Shadow approaching from a distance and immediately alerted his companions. They all pulled out their handguns, looking at the approaching person.

"Hey, what are you doing? Get lost, or don't blame us for being impolite!" A thug shouted at the approaching Shadow. Coming here in the middle of the night, it must be suspicious.

The Shadow seemed not to hear their warning and continued to advance. The Shadow had his back to the moonlight, preventing them from seeing his face.

"Damn it, take him out." The speaking thug, seeing that the warning was ineffective, immediately raised his handgun, aimed at the Shadow, and began firing.

"Bang!" "What!"

A bullet was fired, but the Shadow opposite did not fall. Due to the extreme darkness of the night, he did not see what happened, only thinking that he had missed. He fired another shot, but this time he clearly saw why the opponent hadn't fallen: the opponent could actually dodge bullets!

"Something's wrong, fire together, kill him!" "Alright!" "Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Seeing that something was wrong, several thugs immediately opened fire together.

Noah watched the group of people opposite fire their guns, completely unfazed. While bullets travel faster than sound, and he couldn't dodge them after they were fired, he could predict the direction of their shots and dodge in advance before they pulled the trigger.

After they fired again, Noah moved forward with extreme speed, dodging each of their bullets. As they stared in disbelief, Noah had already reached one of the thugs.

Looking at the thug with a shocked expression, Noah gripped the baseball bat and delivered an upward slash. With the Wind Technique's enhancement, the bat was as sharp as a blade, directly cutting a gash across the opponent's chest. The powerful impact sent the opponent flying into the air, with blood splattering everywhere.

"Wh-What!" The armed thugs were greatly shocked when Noah first dodged their bullets. Then, seeing Noah use a baseball bat to directly send their companion flying several meters high, and the wind, like magic, wrapped around the bat, their eyes nearly popped out.

"Now it's your turn." Noah glanced at the thug lying on the ground, bleeding profusely, then turned his gaze to his companions. Seeing their stunned expressions, Noah gave their exaggerated reactions a perfect score, as it made him want to laugh a little.

Seeing the terrifying person turn his gaze towards them, the thugs frantically reloaded their handguns. In the previous round of firing, they had already emptied their magazines.

The remaining thugs who were not equipped with handguns exchanged glances, then all pulled out their close-combat weapons and charged at Noah.

Several thugs charged at Noah simultaneously, with fierce expressions, holding knives in a slashing posture. If an ordinary person saw this scene, they would surely be terrified, but their movements seemed like a turtle's pace to Noah. He lifted his leg and stomped the ground, directly performing a forward dash, thrusting himself in front of one person. The baseball bat pierced out, and a Wind Technique passed through the opponent's body, with blood gushing from his back. The thug collapsed powerlessly.

A thug on the left had also approached, his long knife falling towards Noah, but Noah blocked it with a backhand swing of his baseball bat. With a forceful flick, the immense power directly caused the knife-wielding thug to lose balance and fall backward. Noah spun around and delivered a powerful kick, and a faint sound of bones breaking was heard as the thug was sent flying over ten meters away.

The thug who had just intended to attack Noah was immediately terrified by this scene and quickly stopped his steps, wanting to escape backward. Noah would not let him run away. He unleashed a Sword Qi from a distance, and the fleeing thug's back was directly cut open by the Sword Qi, then he fell to the ground.

Subsequently, Noah looked at the few thugs who were still loading bullets. Only a few seconds had passed from when those thugs charged forward to when Noah struck them down. Moreover, seeing Noah's fierce performance, the opponents were so scared that their hands trembled, unable to load bullets at all. Noah did not spare these few either, directly striking them down with a few Steel Slashes, leaving only Noah standing on the entire scene.

"Phew~ It feels, pretty good." Noah looked at the thugs scattered on the ground, all struck down by him, bleeding profusely. Noah felt no disgust seeing this scene, because with the Yasuo template's enhancement, he also had memories of various battles Yasuo had experienced. Now, this scene seemed like nothing to Noah; he even felt quite good about it.

"Time to go inside and see." Noah looked at the main gate. The machinery inside was still operating non-stop, breaking the silence of this desolate area and giving people an eerie feeling.

Noah then looked at his baseball bat. The Wind Technique wrapped around it was already very dense, and Noah seemed to hear the howling of the wind. Noah wondered if this baseball bat could hold up. Would it crack during his use later?

He raised his hand and thrust it forward, the Wind Technique-wrapped baseball bat striking the main gate. The bat, amplified by the power of the wind, was exceptionally sharp, and a hole was poked through the steel gate.

Through the hole in the doorway, Noah could already glimpse what was happening inside. Noah gripped his baseball bat, raised his hand, swung it, and uttered Yasuo's line.

"Hasagi!"
