My temper didn't let up one bit. The only thing that went on in my head was to murder that bitch. She was in the way, in the way of my life. The best thing to do is get ride of her presence.
She got out the bed as I approached her. Her clothes were on, Darion wasn't around. She must had did this on purpose, or she was just waiting on Darion to comeback. Either way, I really don't give a fuck. When I approached her, I didn't hesitate to swing.
She ducked the first punch, but wasn't so lucky with my second. I knocked her to the side, she held her left cheek as she prepared for my next swing. This time, I didn't swing. I grabbed her by the throat and took her shirt as well. I used every single muscle in my body as I tossed her into the glass wall. I was hoping it would break, but unfortunately the glass didn't shatter.
"You've just made the biggest mistake of your life." Tampa mumbled as she stood back up.
"There's absolutely no chance of you beating me." I replied. There really isn't, I'm absolutely confident.
Tampa approached me, I caught her first punch. I tossed her hand away and punched her in the throat, she coughed as I swept her legs. I laughed as she fell to the ground.
I kneeled over her and spoke. "Stay out of my man room bitch, or I promise you'll fucking regret stepping in here."
"Fuck you." She replied, then attempted to hit me in the face with her head.
I laughed, but that was interrupted when she grabbed my ankle. She yanked my ankle and forced me to fall on my back. She climbed on top of me and held me down. I struggled to get loose, she was too big for me to push off.
"Bitch!" I yelled as I struggled.
"Just shut the fuck up!" She yelled back, just before gripping my throat.
Her hold on me was too tight. There wasn't a way I could get out of this. I was stupid, I attacked her so arrogantly. I didn't go by the rules of fighting, I just attacked her bluntly without thinking. I deserved this, I deserved to die like this.
Suddenly, the tight grip around my neck loosened. Why did she stop? Why didn't she just kill me? I was almost there, my vision became so blur and dull. My neck was in excruciating pain. She beat me.
"Get up." I comprehended slowly to Darion's voice.
He helped me to stand on my feet. Tampa was already gone, I was disappointed I didn't get to hear what Darion said to her. That's if he said anything at all.
"Are you okay?" He asked me.
"Yes, I'm okay." My voice was gone, to the point he didn't even hear me.
"Well I guess your not okay, lay down." He said as he walked me to his bed.
I didn't wanna get in that bed after Tampa was all laid out in it. I yanked my hand away and walked from Darion. Tears were in my eyes, I was on the merge of breaking down. I couldn't though, I had to remain cool.
"It's okay Rose, she got lucky. She only beat you because you weren't in your right mind." I spoke to myself in the head. "It's okay, you'll get back at her."
"It's not okay." I replied out loud. "It's not okay until I get back at her."
I locked myself in his bathroom for awhile. I did nothing, I didn't even flick the lights switch on. It was dark, how I wanted it to be at the moment.
It was hours until I came back out. Darion was leaning against his bed. He must had been waiting for me, I could tell because he always had that same posture when he waited. Leaning against something, with his arms crossed.
"Darion-" I forgot my voice was damaged. I hate this shit.
"Come here." Darion said demandingly. "We need to do something about your voice."
I came to him as he ordered. I wanted to be babied, I needed someone to take care of me right now. I couldn't take care of myself.
"We gotta mix you up some kinda antidote." He said with a smile as he touched my chin.
I would love that. Anything to bring back my damn voice. I have too much on my mind and not being able to speak it irritates the living shit out of me.
"Here." He reached and grabbed a glass from his dresser. "Drink it, it'll help."
I didn't hesitate, I drunk every last drop. It was hot, that's what made it feel good going down. I gave him the glass after finishing.
"Go to sleep now, you'll be okay baby girl."
I nodded and took off my shirt. I took off my pants as well before getting in the bed. He watched my every step, he's such a perv. I laid in the bed and put the cover over me. I closed my eyes, seconds later felt a kiss to my forehead.
"I love you." His voice followed.
"I love you." I did my best to reply. Then, I was gone.
I woke up late that night. It was dark outside, I got up and went to his closet. I put on one of his shirts and a pair of my basketball shorts. His shirt was long enough to be a dress, I had second thoughts and took it off. Replaced it with a shirt of mine.
I went down to the main lounge, where everyone watches television together on the big screen. I scanned the people in the room, spotting Jaylie.
"Come here girl!" Jaylie called out.
I came to her and sat at the table. She was sitting with two others. One boy and one girl, I could instantly tell they were related.
"Hey," I said softly, my voice was back so I smiled. "What's up?"
"Hey." The boy and girl said together.
"They're Jamile and Jamila," Jaylie introduced. "That's Rose, she's Darion's chick."
"Twins?" I asked.
"Yes, we are." They said together again.
"They do that a lot, so don't ask questions about them." Jaylie said.
I remember their names on the board in the shooting range. That means they're important to Darion. They're special, they have to be if Darion likes them.
"You seem Natalie and Kristian?" I asked Jaylie.
"Kristian went with them to take Natalie back home." Jaylie answered. "She's been gone for hours."
She was already gone, without even saying goodbye to me. Damn, that shit kinda hurt. There has be a reason why she didn't come say goodbye to me. It's not hard to find me.
"Oh okay." I said.
"So you going to marry Darion?" Jamila asked me.
"I'm not sure, we've just started dating."
"He's sexy as fuck." She bit her lip. "If you don't marry him I will."
Jaylie and Jamile found that funny, however I didn't. I didn't respond to it, it just made me aware of how many chicks would love to have a guy like Darion. But Jamile reminded me it was the other way around as well.
"No worries," He spoke, noticing my silence. "She can marry his ass. Then you and I can get married and runaway afterwards."
He raised his glass at me and smiled. He was handsome, I wouldn't mind that backup plan at all. I smiled back and he winked.
"Wanna come to the club with us tonight?" Jamila offered. "Your hair is screaming save me, so I'll do it for you before we leave."
"How old are you people?" I knew Jaylie was only twenty, not yet drinking age.
"Twenty." They answered.
"I told yo ass about asking questions like that." Jaylie reminded me.
I love these guys, they're so humorous. The funny personality just adds on to their beauty. Maybe going out with them tonight is a smart idea.
"Sure, I'll go." I agreed.
"Good, let's go get yo hair fixed. You looking wild girl." Jamila said standing up.
"Okay." I replied. I didn't know rather to be insulted, or to just laugh.
I didn't do either, instead I remained cool. I underestimated Tampa greatly earlier, I didn't want to do the same with Jamila. We took the elevator together up to her room.
"What happened?" Jamila asked while we were in the elevator.
"What you mean?"
"I saw it earlier in the lobby too. No need to act clueless. Who beat yo ass? That bruise on your neck is shit noticeable."
"Fuck." I said as I rubbed my neck. Whatever Darion gave me helped greatly. I couldn't even feel the pain from my neck anymore. I could even talk now, that shit worked greatly.
"Who'd you fight?"
"Tampa." I finally answered.
She smiled. "Tampa is a killer, trained killer. I'm surprised it's just a bruise."
So this is what losing feels like. "What's that suppose to mean? Are you saying she can kill me?"
"Most likely." Now, she's pissed me off. "Based from the bruise on your neck she can."
The elevator opened, I didn't move at all. Jamila looked back at me and told me to come out. She stopped the elevator from closing.
"What's your problem Rose?" She asked me.
"I'll kill that bitch." I replied. "She got lucky. It's rare I lose a fight. Don't make it seem like I'm just not her equal, there's absolutely nobody who can beat my ass without luck assisting."
Her look was serious as hell. "So you telling me your the best fighter in the world? You people are so damn crazy."
"Where you from?"
"Compton."
"Compton? I'm guessing that was tough."
"Life is tough, where you from?"
"St. Louis."
She stepped back in the elevator with me. "Tampa isn't someone to play with Rose. She's deadly, you need to lose that unstoppable attitude before you actually die from it."
I rolled my eyes. "You have no fucking idea what I'm capable of."
She rolled her eyes in return. "I've heard that so many times."
I liked Jamila, her attitude was bold. She was similar to Jaylie, except Jaylie wasn't giving me a hostile impression. Jamila did exactly that, I wanted to punch her directly in the throat.
The elevator closed behind her and we went down. All the way to the lowest floor, the elevator opened. Tampa and Darion stood right in front of us.
