The Amon's watched in pure exasperation as Klein created a wall of spirituality around him... to keep the bugs away.
The mosquito and fly Amon's were deeply offended.
Then they watched Klein trying to divine the origin of the Ancient Sun Sacred emblem... and when it failed they watched their husband take 4 steps counterclockwise to enter the grey fog to divine further...
Oh god...
Why was their fiance so suicidal?!
As this was something Klein would be doing above the mysterious palace above the grey fog, they couldnt interfere much, only wait to see their fiance come back shaken. Of course, there was a chance that he may not survive this despite him surviving in the precious timeline, because fate will try to kill him off since his reason to die has disappeared years from now. But that was also the reason why the entity had added so many new charms into that engagement ring Klein had given Amon.
One of the effects included helping Klein to not lose control.
"Court us! Don't court death!" The mosquito Amon who has been shooed away by Klein before lampooned.
"Why is fiance so suicidal?!"
"And it's that fake sun bastard too..." the only sun god to them was their father, not that traitor.
"That fact it's his mystical form and divinity that Klein would see instead of ours for the first time... pisses me off!"
The clones quickly planned to sabotage The Eternal Blazing Sun's believers for a week, weaking that bastard traitor's anchor and stability. He would pay for looking at their fiance...
The Amons watched as Klein came back to his own body from the Sefirah Castle with a lost and panting face, but an extremely satisfied look in his eyes.
In other words, I have obtained the complete potion formulas of Sequence 9 and Sequence 8 in the Sun Sequence pathway. Yes, unlike before, the potion formula even lists replacement items and ingredient names from different eras… As expected of formulas obtained directly from Eternal Blazing Sun through divination! Klein thought in satisfaction. He even had the incomplete formula for the sequence 7 potion!
"..."
"I diagnose him with 'stupid'."
The exhausted Klein dispelled the sealed wall of spirituality, allowing the cool wind to blow onto his face. He rubbed the warm and classic Sealed Artifact 3-0782 with his hands and sighed to himself.
"Who would have thought that there would be a drop of god's blood in this emblem? I have to assume that the experts from the Church of the Eternal Blazing Sun must have tried searching for this item in the past, but couldn't find it…"
It was still an hour before Leonard's shift... ah... he was so sleepy! Be shouldn't have courted death like that...
("That's what we are saying!")
The next hour felt like torture. Klein paced around from time to time, and was bitten by the mosquitoes in the forest several times.
("He swatted me away like a mosquito and fly!" The mosquito Amon cried as he repeatedly bit Klein in punishment.
"Dont you dare put that stupid spiritual wall again!"
"I think it's called a wall of spirituality...."
"Whatever nerd!"
"Hey is there any chance we can accidentally give him Malaria or Dengue?"
"Nah... probably not."
"..."
"Hey! For those diseases to transfer one needs to bite an infected person first! We only bite Klein... hehehehehehehehehehehe~")
Finally, Frye came back fro his second shift, and Klein felt as though he was looking at his savior. He covered his mouth and let out a yawn, making his eyes teary. He made his way over and took out Sealed Artifact 3-0782 from his pocket.
"What happened?" Frye asked as he looked at his partner's pale face.
Klein sighed and said, "I just did my shift at Chanis Gate the previous night and didn't sleep too well in the morning, so I'm very tired."
He didn't elaborate further and changed the subject. "Shall I come for my next shift four hours from now?"
"Seven hours. Leonard doesn't need sleep at night." Frye took the Mutated Sun Sacred Emblem.
I'm glad someone enjoys staying up late… Klein ridiculed the Leonard under his breath. He bade goodbye to Frye and walked towards the town.
On the way back to the inn, he took out his pocket watch again and checked the time.
Hmm, ten minutes earlier than we arranged… What a nice person…
Okay but seriously, he was covered in mosquito bites... should he buy a repellent or insect killer?
("FIANCE WANTS TO KILL US!")
The mosquitos suddenly stopped... huh...
At about half past five the morning the next day, Klein, who had no choice but to wake up early, drink his coffee and eat his toast and bacon. He hurried out of town to take over from Leonard.
At seven in the morning, they prepared to set off back to Tingen.
It wasn't even ten when they arrived at 36 Zouteland Street. Fyre sat behind the typewriter after Leonard, the most energized of the lot, returned Sealed Artifact 3-0782 to the back of Chanis Gate. He took advantage of the fact that the clerks hadn't arrived yet so that he could write a report on the mission and the claims of the related expenditures.
Klein looked on from the side, satisfied that the items he had expended were within the list—including the materials he used to drive the bugs and mosquitoes away.
Maybe he could ask for more…
Klein suddenly felt killing intent all around him.
The remnants of the damage caused by peaking into the Eternal Blazking sun?!
(No, it's just angry wives.)
Too bad he couldn't rest even now… he had set up a meeting with Daxter Guderian, the spy from the Psychology Alchemists at the Shooting Club to try to get the Telepathist potion formula he had needed for Ms. Justice for today's tarot gathering.
After that, he had the actual tarot gathering to attend… why was the life of the leader of an evil organisation/cult so hectic?! He had thought it was just sitting in a chair acting cool and mysterious… yet the entire grunt work was done by him! He had even courted death to get Little Sun's potion formulas! Who else was such a good and generous leader?! He better hoped that his little cult wouldn't betray him or jump trains on him in the future… didn't Ms. Justice mention something about joining the Psychology Alchemists?!
Unfortunately, the Spectator didn't have the Telepathist formula but Klein had been able to bargain with him to get it in the future in exchange for telling him the acting method to help him not lose control and take better care of his illusionary ravings.
After hat meeting he sat down in contemplation for a while thinking over what he knew especially about the acting method…
Daxter definitely did not know about the acting method despite him being in a secret organisation. Although the secret organisation he was in was only a few hundred years old, there was no way they'd ere able to amass such a large number of members and so much power without knowing the acting method… where they hiding it from their members then? If so, why?
And in the same line of thought- how does the NighHawks and the Church of the Evernight Goddess not know about the acting method despite it being thousands of years old and being a strong Orthodox Church at that?
People like Ma'am Daly definitely wasn't the first few who had found out about the acting method… even Leonard had grasped it despite his casual nature somehow but acted like it had to be kept a secret and that just knowing about it would make the eyes of the upper echelons of the church on him and make a vow in the name of the goddess to keep the secret safe…
He hadn't thought much about it at the moment because he was too nervous that he'd be branded as a traitor to the church, but now that he thought about it, it wa srsly suspicious.
Why not share the harmless information which would help their beyonder not lose control and have to kill their own colleagues? Wasn't one of the riskiest factors of becoming a beyonder not other beyonders but their own craziness? If the acting method was spread, it would only save lives… even if it's just told to the official beyonders and not the evil cults.
No, he was sure that even the evil cults like the Secret Order and Demoness Sect knew about the acting method…
The churches definitely had a reason for hiding all this…
What else could they be hiding?
That's when another thought struck his mind.
The Church of the Night had been the one to destroy the Antigonus Family… how did they only have the formula for the seer potion? They should have gotten way more than that singular sequence 9 formula as a spoil of war! They even had the Antigonus family notebook now…
Klein, who was already a little apprehensive towards the churches because of what he had learned about the hostility between Amon's family and the churches could t help but frown and doubt the orthodox churches even more!
Heh… was this him unconsciously becoming a blasphemer and truly becoming a part of the Amon family?
("Yessss! Become a part of the Amon family!"
"Oi! No parasitising!"
"Aw! Party pooper!")
Klein suddenly felt apprehension and distrust towards the upper echelons of the churches as well as the gods… he was glad that he had raised his sequence by his own (ahem, by Amon's help, ahem) and not through an application through the Church. Even Leonard had said that it would be better for Klein to not reveal the information he knew to the churches… and although Leonard might be a causal and carefree guy who no one could depend on, Klein still trusted his friend and his fiancé's childhood best friend.
("He added best friend as well???????")
