Chapter 9 - Creating something new

"Seriously? What?"

Ken waved his hands and asked. He still couldn't digest the speechless of his parents.

"You do realize that only one day has passed, right?" Alex asked.

Ken still looked confused until Iris caught him and said.

"You completed the process that normally takes around a week for talented people in just a single day."

Finally, it clicked in. He realized how easy it was for him to gather natural energy from the surroundings and extract spiritual energy.

Unlike him, people could take hours, if not days, to complete this process.

Not only that, the process of merging two vortexes and cleaning those veins was also finished quite quickly.

"It's nothing. I was constantly trying to release more mana just to finish the process quickly."

Ken waved his hands.

If not for his body being transformed, it would've taken him much longer.

"By the way, your books have arrived."

Alex pointed at the table full of scrolls and books.

Ken instantly became excited as he rushed towards the table. There were a lot of books, a lot more than he could read in just a week.

But even so, he wasn't worried.

"Mom, Dad, I will be busy."

Ken said as he sat on the chair and opened the first book.

Iris and Alex looked at each other and didn't disturb him.

Despite knowing he was going to leave soon, they knew just how important these books were to him.

They didn't need to hug him and keep talking to him just to show their love.

As his parents left the room, Ken patiently started reading the books.

Most of these books were about Third and Fourth-Rank Spells. He wasn't going to practice them, but he did read most of them.

As he read these spells, he started to realize the difference between his spells and these spells.

First of all, mana was transformed.

It was changed from its natural form to the magic a person was born with.

At the same time, he realized most of these spells were elemental, transformations, and constructions.

But few spells were specific to a certain magic and had different usages.

For example, there was a magic spell called 'Eye of Information'. Once used, the spell could reveal the basic information about any object.

But it required a Magic known as 'Information Storage'. It was basically eidetic memory given by the magic.

Even to use that magic, the magic user must learn a lot of things through books and experience.

So, it was basically a useless method for a beginner, but it could also be used in auctions.

Another magic spell was 'Scanning'. This spell allowed one to scan the surroundings using heat signature and light.

It was the same as looking at something. So, it could only be useful if the enemy was using some kind of hiding spells.

Ken completely ignored the elemental magics. Not because they were useless, but to him, he had something else in mind.

AI!

Since he wasn't someone with one Phd, much less multiple.

He needed something that could help him combine the knowledge of his previous world with his magic.

He knew his magic was unique. But the restriction was a huge problem for him.

Unless he was planning on taking the traditional route, he needed something to help him with his creativity.

Especially someone like him who was hunted for his talent. Even if he was protected well in this house, he was going to leave soon.

And then, he would need to protect himself. There was only so much he could learn on his own.

Thus, he needed a second mind. So, the first thought that came to his mind was Artificial Intelligence.

He didn't know how to create this thing, especially since the way it could be created here would be completely different from his previous world.

So, he spent hours, days, in this room, reading those books and spells.

It felt like he was consuming several books' knowledge, but what he was truly doing was finding a new way to create AI.

After five days, he finally came up with the idea of the First Version.

It was an AI that could give suggestions, solutions, and answers. That was all it could do.

He had to use a completely different method to create this AI. So, he did exactly that.

He started working on it. This whole situation took him another four days.

He started working on it. This whole situation took him another four days.

Because he had to start with a motherboard, a practical construct for the AI that was implanted in his brain.

To form this motherboard, he created a chip using a construction-type spell.

It was easy considering how he didn't need to create transistors or anything like a real microprocessor.

Instead, he needed to create a magical rune that included ten spells and had the functionality to work seamlessly with these spells.

Ten wasn't a limitation. It was something he could think about and create in just nine days.

Thus, he named his motherboard or AI, ATOM.

Artificially Thinking Operating Motherboard.

Atom was equipped with ten different spells.

Scanning Spell- The same spell he found on those books. It had one use. Scan information that he saw or read.

He was able to create this spell simply because he could think of the scanning system of his previous world, using light as an ingredient.

Copy Spell- This spell worked in tandem with Scanning Spell. It would copy the information scanned by the first spell and transmit it to the motherboard.

This spell was created by using his thoughts, nothing more. It was a phenomenon because this spell didn't need to do anything except replicate the information.

Storage Spell- This spell was created to record the information copied by the previous spell. This spell had limits, but the limit would grow with his rank.

He was able to do it simply because he had a better understanding of storage in computers and phones.

To transform it into magic, he had to create it in the form of an open book with millions of pages.

Transformation Spell- This spell had one usage, and that was to transform the information into brain signals.

It was also easier to create since he only had to create electric signals that the brain generated to store memories.

This was where his magic truly shone. He didn't need to think about every single electric charge and its patterns to create this spell.

No, he just had to think of electrical pulses, and he was able to create this spell.

Identification Spell- This spell was very vaguely created. He basically allowed the spell to invade his brain. Only then, his AI will be able to identify what it learned.

Then, it would proceed to another spell.

Separation and Integration Spell- This spell allowed his AI to separate or integrate the information based on what it identified.

Once this step was finished, it would use another spell.

Simulation Spell- This spell was rather unique. He spent two days just creating this spell. Because it required a literal artificial simulation room within the motherboard chip.

What he had done for this was integrate different spells, starting from all previous spells, to something new, like Reset Spell, Recreate Spell, and Scaling Spell.

He also realized something. These spells could also work in the real world, but it was much less useful and had a lot more restrictions.

For example, he couldn't reset the condition of his body, but he could reset things like a broken item or a field based on what he knew about it.

Recreate Spell was a bit simpler. It was simply recreating something that he knew.

But once combined with the knowledge he could access from those books, it could even recreate the potions.

The Scaling Spell was scary. Because this spell allowed him to change the size and shape of any object to his thinking, while also changing its mass, at least in simulation.

That was one thing he couldn't do now in reality. Whenever he tried to change mass, he would face a terrible situation where his body would start to break down.

If his body hadn't reached Third Rank, he might have died during the experimentation process.

By using these new spells and previous spells, he was able to create a simulation spell in the chip itself.

This allowed his AI to gather more information on different scenarios that would happen based on his choices or even situations.

But this was just the seventh spell.

There were three more spells.

Learning Spell- This was also a harder spell to create, but he was able to make it due to a sly solution.

Letting his AI reach out to the most optimal scenario and release it to his brain.

Once he would accept this information based on his previous experience or knowledge, AI would then accept this information as true and keep it.

So, this was where he could actively interact with his AI, giving it suggestions or even relying on his past experiences to find the answers.

Speech Recognition Spell- This spell allowed his AI to understand his sounds, transform them into words, and go through the previous spells to understand the problem and find a solution.

It could also replicate his sound to produce the voice in his ear.

But the last spell was...
