These sounds were mingled together as they echoed and dispersed throughout the village. Leaving the village folk wondering what those sounds were
The sounds were coming from a hill. This hill was the highest hill in the whole village; it measured over a 100 feet
As it towered over the village, any sound that was made will be echoed
It also had a flight of stairs leading to the very top. Atop the hill was a dojo. The dojo was fenced─the idyllic fence was circular and embellished with carvings of figurines on it, each illustrating perculiar tales─and the dojo itself was more fantastic than the fence
Inside, was a slim old man in black with a well combed beard and mustache that reached his waist
This man was engaged in a battle against three kids─one had green bushy hair, the other was a girl with blonde hair and two buns on it and the last was a boy with short black hair. All were wearing training clothing
The kids were attacking with punches and kicks in synchrony. But the old man was able to block and dodge their attacks
These were no adversary, they were his students. They were just sparring with the old man to see how much they had improved
The spar ended in the evening and following the long spar the kids were served dinner in the dojo of the old man on his long dining table
The table was laid with dark red clothing and had on its surface a legion of various meals; more than enough to satisfy the kids empty bellies
While the kids were guzzling down the meal, their master announced
"I have observed you training tediously for a while now, and I just want to congratulate you all on how hard you have been working. So tomorrow, you guys will go to the forest and get the bones of a beast and give it to a blacksmith to forge it into a weapon"
The kids could not believe their ears─they had longed for new weapons and abruptly their master allowed them to get some
This delighted the kids significantly. And for the whole night as they slept in the dojo they could not stop brooding about it

The three kids were standing at the entrance of the forest, with grinning faces
"Well, I wish everyone the best of luck. But me the greatest luck" said the blonde girl named Kate
"Thank you" replied the green haired one named Jojo
"I appreciate your helpful wishing towards us greatly" said the last kid called Pen
Kate then said
"To divide our time here by three. All of us will split up to find each ones beast"
What she said was sensible to the others kids and they agreed and went their separate ways

Jojo
He was walking down a footpath
"Now which beast would l want. A bear or a wolf or a tiger. I think I will go with wolf then. I know I can do this"
He ran into the multitude of trees with a smile. Reaching the wolves den, he leapt into a nearby bush, stalking the wolves and waiting for the right time

Kate was strutting on another footpath; she was quite sure that she would get a beast instantly
She had already finalized that she will get a rank 3 eagle beast. So with this in mind, she trekked to a nest with an adult eagle resting in it
"Bingo"

Pen was walking gently on the soft carpet of grass
"Now which creature should I choice. A bear or a tiger. Wait, I can't harm a creature for no reason. Sigh...Well, I guess I just have to find an already dead one"
****
Jojo slowly crept cautiously towards the wolves as they guzzled down on a dead deer
Jojo had hushed down─not wanting his presence to be detected by the wolves
But suddenly, the wolves gazed at Jojo and started growling menacingly. Jojo was paralyzed in fear

Kate clambered to the top of the tree. The bird noticed her and flew down and pecked at her forehead in defense
"Ouch. Why you!!!"
Her whimpers of pain turned to abrupt anger
She clutched the eagle tightly in her hand. But in the process, she lost her footing and was sent plummeting down the tall tree

Jojo knew that if he moved─even a flinch─the creatures would lunge towards him
So the sensible thing to do was to stay still at all times till the creatures no longer take you as a threat
But Jojo flinched spontaneously. This triggered the wolves to lunge at him and a chase ensued; with Jojo running at full speed and the wolves pursuing him while snarling
"Oh no. Oh no!!"
But even with this fear, he still had the determination to get away from them

"Noooooo!!!"
Were the words of Kate as she freefell from a lethal high. She had closed her eyes, knowing her death was imminent
But she suddenly felt like she was hovering above the ground. She slowly opened her eyes and looked up
****
Pen was walking around the forest in a bid to scavenge any deceased corpses of a beast
"Come on forest, your gratitude towards me will be very much appreciated"
After saying this, Pen turned to his left and saw a pile of bones just lying there. Pen was very delighted by the sight
"Thank you, forest"

Kate saw the bird flapping its wings and actually flying, even with her added weight; Kate was utterly stunned by this
The bird turned to Kate who had clutched unto her leg. Just from the incomplete facial expression on the eagles face, Kate could tell it's emotion; it felt threathened
Kate ungripped the bird and landed safely on the ground. But the eagle was not going to let her go that easy
It flapped its wings once and a curved line of slicing wind gusted towards Kate
She dodged that attack, and
*Pow*
Jojo─out of nowhere─ran and the two of them collided; leading the pack of wolves to her location
Now the situation had worsened: wolves snarling at them and an eagle attacking them with her wind attribute
The only words the kids could say were
"Oh no"
