"Get lost!"
Doctor Octopus roared in fury. Instinctively, he took Tao Wen as a member of some government department—someone he would never submit to. He absolutely did not want to become a lab rat.
"That's not up to you."
Tao Wen suddenly exerted force. The mechanical tentacle was lifted high into the air—Doctor Octopus along with it—and then he was smashed violently toward the ground.
BOOM!!!
A deafening explosion echoed as Doctor Octopus slammed into the floor. The entire room shook. He was brutally embedded into the ground.
"Argh!"
The bone-shaking impact made Doctor Octopus scream in agony as he frantically flailed his mechanical arms, tearing himself free from the floor.

Tao Wen looked down at Doctor Octopus with cold detachment. A line of data flashed before his eyes—the blue fragment merged into the percentage: /10.
Crack crack crack crack—
As he had been smashed into the ground, Doctor Octopus desperately manipulated his mechanical arms, whipping them toward Tao Wen in an attempt to slice him apart.
Like a man with three heads and six arms—ferocious and overwhelming.
Tao Wen didn't defend. He simply allowed the arms to strike his body.
The mechanical arms were strong, but they couldn't harm him at all.
Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!
Sharp metallic impacts rang across the room as the arms repeatedly struck him.
Not only did they fail to hurt Tao Wen, they caused sharp pain to Doctor Octopus himself, making his face twist and contort.
Still, he didn't give up—using the mechanical arms to scramble toward the exit.
"Not choosing properly makes you a bad child."
Tao Wen stepped forward ahead of him.
He reached out and grabbed one of Doctor Octopus's real arms.
"Get lost!"
Doctor Octopus tried to force Tao Wen back. All four mechanical limbs struck at once—but the moment they touched Tao Wen's right hand, he slapped them aside violently, sending them crashing into the ground.
"You're asking for it."
Tao Wen raised his right leg and kicked toward Doctor Octopus's forehead.
Doctor Octopus tried to dodge, but with only ordinary reflexes, he stood no chance against Tao Wen's enhanced speed.
BANG!
Another explosive sound. Doctor Octopus collapsed unconscious.

Blue light rose again and merged into the progress bar: /10.
"Wake up."
Tao Wen grabbed a bucket of water and dumped it over Doctor Octopus's head. The water flowed down, and the man slowly regained consciousness.
"Submit or die?"
Tao Wen asked again.
"Die!"
Doctor Octopus roared, sending all mechanical arms lunging toward Tao Wen in another attempt to kill him.
"Stubborn fool."
Tao Wen's right foot landed on Doctor Octopus's forehead before the arms could reach him.

This kick didn't knock him out completely—but left him dizzy and disoriented, his mechanical arms collapsing onto the floor.
Tao Wen pressed down harder with his right foot, and Doctor Octopus finally passed out.

A new skill was close.
"Wake up."
Tao Wen slapped Doctor Octopus across the face, and the man instantly regained clarity.
"I will NEVER submit to you!"
Doctor Octopus roared with rage. His life's work was his ideal—no one could make him bow.
"You really are a straightforward man."
Tao Wen stared at him helplessly. The blazing fury in Doctor Octopus's eyes, along with a scientist's stubbornness—this old man was as stubborn as they came.
"I've founded an organization called the Xuan Palace. There are several supervill—mutants like you. Oh, right—your Oscorp CEO, Osborn, is also inside. If you submit to me, not only will you get a full research facility, you'll get access to Oscorp's tritium to support your experiments."
Tao Wen said. For someone like this—soft tactics and hard tactics both were necessary.
"What!? Osborn became a mutant too? And he can give me unlimited tritium!?"
Doctor Octopus lost his composure instantly. He could die—but his scientific pursuit could not. Creating an artificial sun was his life's dream.
And only Oscorp had the tritium he needed.
"I accept."
Doctor Octopus declared loudly. Submitting meant nothing—science was the truth.
Under Tao Wen's carrot-and-stick approach, Doctor Octopus yielded immediately.
"Good. Let's leave—move!"
Tao Wen said with relief.
With Doctor Octopus joining the Xuan Palace, their strength had increased again. But just as Tao Wen was about to shake his hand—
A terrifying rocket shrieked toward them from afar.
Tao Wen instantly shoved Doctor Octopus aside and grabbed a steel door with his right hand, swinging it toward the incoming rocket.
BOOM!
The moment the rocket hit, it exploded violently.
The steel door in Tao Wen's hand absorbed the frontline impact—blown into several pieces—while the room erupted into flames.
Even with his durability, Tao Wen felt the heavy shock.
"Go."
He didn't want to waste time fighting these people. He grabbed Doctor Octopus and rushed in one direction.
Ratatatatatata—
As they moved, flames burst around them, bullets rained onto the floor, trailing closely behind the two.
Whoosh whoosh whoosh—
Just as they emerged, several arrows screamed toward them—each carrying a familiar sensation.
"Barton!"
A flash of anger rose in Tao Wen's heart. Glancing back, he saw Hawkeye leaping from a helicopter, rolling into the burning room.
"You go first. I'll contact you later. If you have nowhere to go, head to the East District—that'll be our future base."
Tao Wen said to Doctor Octopus.
"Alright!"
Doctor Octopus rushed out. Now he had a goal—and motivation.
Bang!
Tao Wen kicked open the storage room door and dashed inside. Various odd items were scattered around. He finally chose an anime costume—
The distinctive yellow suit of Saitama from One Punch Man.
"Get down!"
"You can live. Otherwise, I'll kill you!"
Hawkeye charged in and shouted loudly.
But when he saw Tao Wen wearing a Saitama outfit, he froze.He had expected a giant octopus monster—definitely not… this thing.
This clearly wasn't his target.
He scanned the room rapidly, trying to locate the octopus monster, but found nothing.
"What did you say?"Tao Wen deliberately imitated Saitama's flat tone as he looked at Hawkeye.
"Get down!"Hawkeye shouted again.
"Watch your mouth. One punch from me could blow you apart."
Tao Wen said coldly, raising his fist.
"Get down!"
Hawkeye lost his patience. He lifted his bow high—not to fire, but to swing it like a staff toward Tao Wen's head, trying to knock him down.
Tao Wen punched toward him—just an ordinary punch.
