Chapter 66 - Lizard Doctor (2/4)

"The timeline has indeed changed!"

A flicker of surprise crossed Tao Wen's eyes as he looked at the data that appeared before him.

A faint blue light emanated from the fragment in his vision, transforming into a stream of light that flowed into the percentage: 3/5.

"Hello, Tao."

Norman Osborn extended his hand, greeting Tao Wen in a friendly manner. As a knowledgeable doctor, he was of course aware of Eastern etiquette.

"Hello, Dr. Osborn."

Tao Wen extended his right hand, shaking hands with Norman Osborn. Norman's grip was gentle, showing no signs of any violent tendencies.

Fragment +1

With the handshake, another fragment flashed and vanished, merging into the blue light, appearing very mysterious.

"Looks like he's in the early stages, maybe just recently transformed into the Green Goblin, so his strength is still limited."

Tao Wen mused to himself.

"Something's wrong, Doctor!"

As Dr. Norman invited the two of them to the interview location, a man rushed over, speaking loudly to Dr. Norman.

"Later, I'm busy right now."

Norman frowned at the man, clearly displeased.

"Dr. Norman, Dr. Shi is dead."

The man continued, his voice low, but Tao Wen and Jenny still heard him.

"What!"

Norman, who had been composed, immediately changed his expression and stood up, looking at the person who had come.

"And the glider."

The man continued in a low voice. This time, Jenny didn't hear him; he had already recognized Jenny's identity.

"Sorry, both of you, I have something to take care of. We'll do the interview later. You can look around here and see our advanced technology for your reports."

Norman immediately said to Jenny and the other person, and then quickly left.

"Okay."

Jenny responded immediately.

"Dr. Shi? Who's that?"

Jenny asked immediately after Norman left.

"Who knows, probably some doctor from Osborn Corp."

Tao Wen said deliberately. Of course, he wasn't unfamiliar with Dr. Shi. Dr. Shi was Norman's right-hand man and a key figure in pushing Norman to become the Green Goblin. After Norman became the Green Goblin, he directly killed Dr. Shi.

However, Norman, after becoming the Green Goblin, was still in the throes of a split personality and had no idea about this.

Jenny nodded slightly and didn't say much. As a journalist, she knew that these tech companies, while seemingly legitimate, often had incidents of failed experiments and deaths.

It's still the early stages, as expected. Now, I must find that Spider. Otherwise, the Green Goblin will discover the Spider eventually.

Tao Wen's eyes flickered slightly. Thinking quickly, he said to Jenny, "I think Dr. Norman will be a while. Let's go see the technology here."

"Alright, this is perfect for taking some photos for reference."

Jenny replied with a smile.

She wanted to get information about Dr. Shi, but she had no way of doing so. Judging by Norman's expression, this Dr. Shi was clearly important, and Osborn Corp might not want the information made public. It was better to focus on one thing.

The two of them walked along the road. There were many busy interns or professionals along the way. When they saw the two of them, they all smiled kindly. Apparently, Tao Wen and Jenny's identities had been approved internally.

"How lucky."

Tao Wen, halfway along, pocketed a small box. The box was of high quality, not only with a great texture but also with excellent breathability. It was perfect for holding the mutated spider.

This made him slightly happy.

"Next, I need to find that spider."

Tao Wen scanned the entire area. There were simply too many spiders to distinguish, and they all looked largely the same.

However, he was certain that one spider was exceptionally unique.

"These spiders are really something, but the most unique one is definitely this one. Tao, doesn't it look like an emperor, even though it's in a cage?"

Jenny suddenly said.

"Emperor?"

Tao Wen's gaze couldn't help but fall on that particular spider. As his eyes landed on it, he saw that the spider was also looking at him, with an arrogant posture. Around it were many spiders, all circling it as if it were an emperor on a tour.

"That's the one!"

Seeing this, Tao Wen's eyes lit up, and he immediately confirmed his target.

"Tao, I'm going over there to take a look. If you see anything interesting, come find me, okay?"

Jenny, camera in hand, quickly walked towards another area.

Tap.

The instant Jenny left, Tao Wen flicked his finger against the glass window, right at the spider's location. The spider, which had been motionless, immediately sprang to life after that flick.

It extended its huge chelicerae and slammed against the glass, looking very displeased.

Meanwhile, the spiders next to it all fell to the bottom, trembling and unable to move.

"Come on, little thing."

Tao Wen opened the glass directly and flipped the bird.

The enraged Spider shot out like an arrow, a line of webbing trailing behind it. It looked just like Spider-Man, a unique sight, which further confirmed Tao Wen's suspicions.

However, it wasn't as powerful as Spider-Man. The moment it launched, it crashed into a box Tao Wen had prepared, becoming trapped.

"Got it!"

Tao Wen quickly sealed the glass container and put the box in his pocket. He then wandered off in other directions.

"Osborn Corp truly deserves its place among Marvel's big three. The sheer number and variety of creatures here is a wonder of humanity."

After a tour, Tao Wen had this thought. He finally understood why Osborn Corp was constantly producing unique villains.

It all came down to this huge base.

With such a massive base, a few mutations were only to be expected.

"Tao, look at this lizard, it's really something."

Jenny called out to Tao Wen from a distance as he walked along the glass pathway, beginning to observe some of the large fish and beasts.

"Lizards?"

Tao Wen looked towards where Jenny was with surprise.

Inside the glass window beside Jenny, there was a group of green lizards. The lizards were flicking their crimson tongues, constantly staring at the two of them.

The lizards, as if human, had their own consciousness, appearing very strange.

"You two, this area is classified. Please leave."

Just as Tao Wen wanted to come over and observe, a white doctor walked over.

"Who are you?"

Jenny looked at the newcomer with a hint of displeasure. She had already obtained Dr. Norman's authorization, so why was this person being so bothersome?

As she observed him, she noticed that he was missing an arm, which made him quite distinctive.

"Dr. Connors, the person in charge of this project," Connors said, looking at the two of them.

"Hello, Dr. Connors. I've heard about you for a long time. You're a top expert in the field of regeneration, always dedicated to the research and development of limb regeneration. How's the progress going?"

Just as Jenny was about to bring up Norman, Tao Wen suddenly cut in, speaking loudly.

As he spoke, Tao Wen's gaze fell upon Dr. Connors. If he wasn't mistaken, the doctor before him was the infamous Lizard Doctor!

He wanted to confirm whether the Lizard Doctor in front of him had undergone a mutation in advance, just like Norman Osborn.
