Kaia had toured the area, Eira was nowhere to be seen. She knew she had to, but her body didn't want it, Zayne's number stared at her through her screen, that demon is a kidnapper, she thought. She reluctantly pushed her hand, dialing his number, he answered almost immediately
"Hey princess" he chuckled
"Zayne, where is my sister"
"Time's up, princess" his husky voice made her jolt, realization dawned on her, this was the final day of grace that Zayne gave her, she had no choice now. She got into a taxi and zoomed off to Zayne's mansion.
She could hear Eira's screams from the gate and tears streamed down her face as she bolted in
"Wifey, are you ready to get married??" Zayne's sinister smile peered through her
"You're a psycho" she cried, her heart racing as she rushed past the opulent decor of the mansion, the lavishness contrasting sharply with the horror of the situation.
"Princess, you know I do this all for you," Zayne taunted, his voice echoing through the grand hall. "Eira is just a little insurance policy to ensure you don't run away again."
She could hear her sister's muffled cries, and the sound fueled her desperation. "Let her go, Zayne! This is between you and me!"
Zayne stepped closer, his eyes glinting with a mix of amusement and menace. "Oh, but you see, it's not just about you anymore. You made your choice when you decided to defy me. Now, you must pay the price."
With a surge of adrenaline, she pushed past him, racing toward the sound of Eira's voice. The mansion felt like a labyrinth, each turn leading her deeper into Zayne's twisted game. She could hear the faint sound of her sister's sobs growing louder, and she followed it, her heart pounding in her chest.
Finally, she burst into a dimly lit room, where Eira was tied to a chair, tears streaming down her face. "Sister Kaia!" Eira cried, her eyes wide with fear. "Help me!"
"Don't worry, I'm here!" she shouted, rushing to her sister's side. She fumbled with the ropes, her hands shaking as she tried to free Eira.
Zayne's laughter echoed behind her, cold and mocking. "You think you can save her? You're too late, princess. The wedding is about to begin."
"No!" she screamed, finally managing to loosen the ropes around Eira's wrists. "We're getting out of here!"
But as they turned to escape, Zayne blocked the doorway, his expression darkening. "You really think you can just walk away? I won't let you ruin my plans."
With a surge of courage, she stepped in front of Eira, ready to protect her sister at all costs. "You'll have to go through me first."
Zayne's smile faded, replaced by a dangerous glint in his eyes. "Very well, then. Let's see how far you're willing to go to save her."
"Torture her" he ordered, his trio lunged forward, gripping Eira and throwing her across the room. They had a satisfied look on their faces. Kaia's face went blank, Eira screamed as slaps and punches landed on her, Kaia's knees gave in as she fell on the floor, crutching her ears
"Make it stop….please make it stop" she screamed, hugging her knees, Zayne raised his hand up, and the beating stopped
"Tell me you'll marry me princess" he said, she darted a dirty look at him, her eyes bloodshot and her breath heavy
"Never," she spat, her voice trembling but defiant. Zayne's smile widened, a cruel glint in his eyes as he stepped closer, his presence looming over her like a dark cloud.
"Very well," he said, his tone dripping with mockery. "Then let's continue, shall we?" He gestured to his trio, who eagerly resumed their assault on Eira, their laughter echoing in the dimly lit room.
Kaia's heart raced as she watched her sister endure the torment. She felt helpless, trapped in her own body, unable to intervene. "Stop! Please, just stop!" she cried out again, her voice cracking under the weight of despair.
Zayne turned his attention to her, his expression shifting from amusement to irritation. "You think your pleas matter? You're in no position to bargain, Kaia." He leaned down, his face inches from hers, and whispered, "But I do enjoy your desperation. It makes this all the more entertaining."
Kaia's breath hitched as she felt the cold grip of fear tighten around her. She had to do something—anything—to save Eira. "I'll do it," she blurted out, the words spilling from her lips before she could think. "I'll marry you. Just stop hurting her!"
Zayne straightened, a glimmer of interest sparking in his eyes. "Is that so? You'd trade your safety for your own?" He chuckled, the sound dark and twisted. "How noble of you, should have done this earlier"
Eira's cries echoed in the background, and Kaia's heart shattered at the sound. "Please, Zayne. Just let her go. I'll marry you. I swear it."
Zayne considered her for a moment, his expression unreadable. "Very well, princess. You've made your choice." He raised his hand again, and the beating ceased once more. Eira lay on the ground, gasping for breath, her body bruised and battered.
Kaia crawled toward her sister, cradling Eira's head in her lap. "I'm so sorry, Eira. I thought I could save you," she whispered, tears streaming down her face.
Zayne watched them with a satisfied smirk. "You've made a wise decision, Kaia. But remember, the price of your freedom is steep. You'll soon learn what it means to be my bride."he smirked, lifting the corner of his mouth
"Get her out and take care of her" he commanded, Eira was dragged out of the room as he grabbed Kaia by the wrist, she was reluctant, drawing back, Zayne grinded his teeth, scowling
"Don't irritate me princess, you don't want to know what happens when I'm irritated, now be a good girl and do as you promised, okay?" He warned, his lips curling up.Kaia shuddered, lowering her head.
Her heart raced as she felt the pressure of his grip. She could see the darkness lurking behind his charming facade, and it sent a shiver down her spine. "I didn't promise anything," she shot back defiantly, trying to pull her wrist free.
Zayne's eyes narrowed, and the smirk faded, replaced by a cold intensity. "You may not have promised, but you're in no position to negotiate. You're mine now, and I expect you to act accordingly."
With a swift motion, he released her wrist, but only to guide her with a firm hand on her back. "Let's go. You have a lot to learn about your new life."
Kaia took a deep breath, steeling herself against the wave of uncertainty that washed over her. She had to find a way out of this, a way to reclaim her freedom. But for now, she had to play along, at least until she could figure out her next move.
As they walked through the dimly lit corridor, she glanced back at the guards who had been watching, their expressions unreadable. She felt the weight of their eyes on her, a reminder that she was no longer in control of her fate.
"Where are you taking me?" she asked, trying to keep her voice steady.
"To my business room," Zayne replied, his tone casual, as if they were discussing the weather. "The papers you need to sign and everything else are there, waiting for you". He said huskily " But don't get too comfortable. You'll be learning your place soon enough."
Kaia swallowed hard, her mind racing. She had to find allies, a way to turn the tables on Zayne. But for now, she would bide her time, waiting for the right moment to strike.
