Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: Provocation or Invitation?

"[Answer]You can call me Schwarzer. Like you, I am a visitor from another world."

Schwarzer directly threw out a crucial piece of information he couldn't ignore.

"Another world?" Uchiha Obito's gaze turned dangerous. He had absolutely no information on her, yet she knew him very well. The situation felt incredibly precarious.

Another point was that when Schwarzer spoke of other worlds, she seemed remarkably experienced, as if she were already accustomed to traversing them.

Intuition told Obito that she was heavily involved in how he and the others had crossed over.

Obito tried to discern her objective, but... there was too little information. Analysis was impossible.

"Since we're both visitors from another world, what do you want with me?"

"Don't tell me you're looking to huddle together for warmth?"

Obito knew he was at a disadvantage, but it was precisely at times like these that he couldn't show weakness.

Besides, he didn't believe he was weak. With his Mangekyo Sharingan and a portion of Hashirama's cells, he was now terrifyingly strong.

Schwarzer paid no mind to the probing in his words—she was simply here to pick a fight.

"[Affirmative]You could call it huddling for warmth. However, you will be joining my organization."

"[Supplement]But before that, I must confirm you have the strength to join us."

The level of provocation in Schwarzer's words was even higher. She was clearly doing it on purpose.

Obito wasn't particularly bothered at first. After all, joining the Akatsuki was still joining something; joining another new organization now didn't matter.

However, her somewhat condescending tone left him feeling displeased.

The present-day Obito possessed a degree of arrogance. He was the one who had inherited Uchiha Madara's mantle; there might not be anyone in the entire Shinobi World who could match him.

"What do you mean, 'the strength to join you'? And why should I join you? There's a limit to how much you can just decide things on your own, you know."

Although he felt underestimated, Obito still chose to hold back and tried to fish for more information.

He was also extremely curious why this person, also from 'another world,' had sought him out and how she knew his identity.

Obito recalled that he hadn't come into contact with anyone since arriving in this world—with the exception of Kakashi.

"[Main Point]This unit possesses the means to traverse worlds and send you back. As payment, this unit must determine your 'value' and assign you tasks within a 'reasonable scope'."

Although the wording was a bit strange, Uchiha Obito understood her meaning perfectly.

"So, you're saying you can send me back to the Shinobi World, but you need me to work for you?"

She actually possessed the power to traverse worlds—the very means to return them to the Shinobi World. If he were in her shoes, he'd be much more arrogant too.

Obito had to admit, she had named a price he couldn't refuse. However, it seemed the terms were negotiable...

"So, we still have to fight?" he asked with a sense of resignation.

Schwarzer nodded silently, gesturing for him to make the first move.

His right Mangekyo Sharingan activated. Obito didn't dare dwell on what kind of powerhouse could traverse worlds; this was a fight he couldn't avoid.

He activated Kamui, and the unconscious Kakashi he was holding was sucked into the Kamui dimension. Since he'd already saved him, he couldn't just leave him be. He'd let him take refuge in the Kamui dimension for now.

Standing opposite him, Schwarzer's eyes glowed faintly, clearly attempting to copy Obito's ability.

Unfortunately, Kamui activated too quickly. The analysis time was too short, and this type of power wasn't very compatible with her. It seemed she wouldn't be able to complete the analysis until she experienced it firsthand.

After sending Kakashi away, only the two of them remained. Amidst the sea of flowers, Uchiha Obito and Schwarzer faced each other, neither making the first move.

'Her body looks like a puppet. Even if I destroy it, it might be meaningless...'

'If she really is a puppet, she's likely very strong in close combat, and I need to be wary of any weapons she might have hidden...'

The preconceptions in one's mind are like a great mountain. Obito's limited experience made it difficult to analyze Schwarzer's abilities, but he was right about one thing: she did indeed have many weapons hidden on her person.

A gust of wind lifted a small petal, which drifted down between them like a signal to begin battle. Obito seized the momentary opportunity, raising his hand and shooting wooden spikes from his palm.

The Cutting Insertion Technique, a very stealthy and damaging Wood Style jutsu. This was the power of Wood Style that Obito had obtained after being implanted with Senju Hashirama's cells.

Obito didn't think such an attack would be effective. As he struck, he instantly leaped backward, trying to create distance.

At the same time, Kamui was already active, and his body entered a phased state. Although he had great faith in his intangibility, the thought of his opponent possessing the power to traverse worlds made his overly cautious mind race.

Phasing was a nearly invincible ability in the Shinobi World, but did another world have a way to overcome it?

"[Warning]Losing focus during combat is a grave error."

Noticing his momentary lapse in concentration, Schwarzer closed in rapidly. The engines on her back trailed streaks of light, and the sheer airflow from her movement carved a void in the sea of flowers beneath her feet.

It was simple, unadorned speed. There was no question about the gap between them; this was a victory of raw stats.

Schwarzer was, after all, in a state of overflowing Core Data. If not for the need to collect more, she could have steamrolled the entire world by herself.

After all, the power levels in Jujutsu Kaisen were truly not that high, and as for Naruto... at least in the current timeline, its power levels weren't high either.

Uchiha Obito could see her flying toward him in a very ordinary manner, catching up to him, but he couldn't shake her.

'Is the gap this massive?' A bitter trace appeared at the corner of Obito's mouth. Since obtaining Uchiha Madara's power, this was the first time he had ever felt so helpless.

But Obito wouldn't give up just like that. His phasing was still active; for at least five minutes, he was invincible.

Schwarzer didn't use any weapons, simply throwing an ordinary punch at his chest.

Then, as expected, her entire body passed through Obito's, as if they existed on different layers.

'I have to find a way to counterattack or create distance!' Obito knew he had to do something within those five minutes. At Schwarzer's speed, he couldn't pull away.

Fighting at this range, Obito felt her speed was no less than the Flying Thunder God Technique, and this was pure speed, not a Space-Time Ninjutsu.

In just a few short seconds, Schwarzer's dozens of attacks were all nullified by his phasing.

Beneath his mask, Obito's expression was exceptionally grim. He could feel the gusts of wind from her punches, which nearly induced phantom pain even though they didn't connect.

He wasn't the only one thinking of a way to break the stalemate. Maintaining a steady, unhurried attack frequency, the data stream in Schwarzer's eyes never ceased.

'[Kamui]Analysis Progress... 47.52%...'

Five minutes? The countdown for this battle wasn't nearly that long.
