Chapter 47 - Chapter 47 – The Dwarven King’s Oath

The great stone halls of the dwarven realm echoed with thunderous cheers. Before the king's throne, the council members and hundreds of dwarves saluted Mamir and his companions. The chamber was filled with songs and applause, like the sound of hammers striking anvils in celebration.

The dwarven king, his long beard trembling with a warm smile, spoke:

— "Mamir, Runya, Ener… And you, noble children of ancient blood—Queen Kirarya, Necor, and Bete! Welcome. You have not only saved your own lives but restored the hope of all realms. For this, we are forever grateful."

As his words rang through the hall, the dwarves struck their chests with their fists and roared in unison. Kirarya, Necor, and Bete could not hold back their tears; after years in the darkness, to be welcomed with such love filled their hearts with light.

That night, a feast unlike any other was held. The tables overflowed with the finest meats from the mountains, dwarven wines aged for decades, golden honey, spiced bread, and delicacies beyond count.

And this feast lasted for forty days and nights.

For forty days, songs were sung, tables never emptied, and laughter echoed through the stone halls. Mamir, Runya, and Ener shed every trace of exhaustion, their spirits renewed. Kirarya, Necor, and Bete, after years of torment, regained both their strength and their hope through the warmth of food and kinship.

At the end of the forty days, the dwarven king summoned Mamir and his companions once more to the throne hall. His tone was solemn, yet his eyes gleamed with trust.

— "Heroes of the Light…" he declared. "If you succeed in bringing the elves to our side—and I believe you shall—then we dwarves will give you all our strength. A thousand warriors, and the finest armor ever forged by dwarven hands, armor that no force of darkness can break."

Mamir bowed his head, his voice steady with resolve.

— "Then our path leads to the elven lands."

The dwarven king raised his hand. The massive northern gates rumbled as they opened, revealing the ancient mountain roads that led toward the elf kingdom.

And so, the dwarves presented Necor, Kirarya, and Bete with three magnificent steeds—each as mighty as a black stallion, proud and strong. These horses gave speed to the rider's heart and courage to the soul.

Thus, Mamir, Runya, Ener, Necor, Bete, and Kirarya—united at last—set forth toward the elven kingdom, carrying with them the dawn of light against the growing shadow.
