Chapter 2 - Chapter-2 : The Rise of Evilness

A mysterious group known as Dashanan, after the name of the ten-headed Asura king Ravana, took an interest in Dhruv.

The team consisted of corrupt politicians, unethical businessmen like the sly Seth Dhanraj, and ambitious gurus like the manipulative Swami Vikrant, who wanted to use Dhruv's Unique skills for their own evil ends.

They regarded him as a means to gain unthinkable wealth and power.

They understood that they could not go in bluntly and force him; they needed to manipulate him, create a web of lies to entrap him into their ranks.

They began with targeting Dhruv's nearest. They lured his parents, who were facing economic difficulties, with profitable business opportunities. They tempted his childhood friend, the intelligent but innocent Anika, with a scholarship and a promising future.

Dhruv, with his Divya Drishti, started feeling the shadows under the guise of these apparently benevolent offers.

He detected the greed in Seth Dhanraj's eyes, the machinations in Swami Vikrant's smile.

He understood that Dashanan was not just a group of people; it was an army of darkness that could overwhelm his society and corrupt the very principles he cherished.

He knew he needed to defend his family and struggle against this encroaching evil. He went to his wise grandmother, Dadi Rani, who shared with him the tales of old heroes who had undergone similar testings. She reminded him that his real power did not reside in external strength, but in the unshakeable integrity of his character and the purity of his heart.

Dhruv, equipped with his inner strength(Atma Shakti), his divine sight (Divya Drishti), and his word power (Vani Siddhi), went ahead to encounter Dashanan.

He realized it would not be a simple fight, but he was steadfast in using his blessings to defend the innocent and promote the truth even if it meant confronting fierce foes and having to make hard decisions.

His journey was only starting, a journey not of gaining superpowers, but of harnessing the power that he already had – the power of goodness – to battle the forces of evil.

After all of that, one morning Anika was on her way to Dhruv's house to speak with him about something odd. The aroma of chai lingered heavily in the atmosphere as Anika, her forehead creased, addressed Dhruv. Dashanan's offer of a scholarship in exchange for him still echoed in her mind. "Dhruv," she started, her voice tinged with worry, "those guys who were tailing you…the ones who wore black suits. Who are they?"

Dhruv's normal cheerful self disappeared. He shot a nervous look at the window. "They're affiliated with the Dashanans ," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Anika's heart thudded. She'd heard rumors of the Dashanan, a mysterious group that had its tentacles in every illegal aspect of the globe. "But why would they be interested in you?

Dhruv hesitated, then admitted, "I…I possess powers. I can control time, only for brief periods of time, 4 to 5 seconds. And I possess Divya Drishti."

Anika gaped, unable to speak. T-time manipulation?.....D-Divya Drishti? It sounded absurd, yet she'd experienced unusual events around Dhruv. "How…how is this even possible?"

Dhruv described that two months back, when he went to pray at the Shiva temple, Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu appeared before him and gave him these powers along with Atma Shakti, inner strength, and Vani Shakti, powerful or persuasive speech. He was the one who was chosen to defeat darkness.

"The Dashanan ," Dhruv continued, "I think they want my powers. I've heard they exploit people and torture them just to get powerful and made impact on others."

Anika, still grappling with the revelation of Dhruv's powers and divine intervention, asked the question that had been plaguing her. "How did the Dashanan find out?"

Dhruv's face fell. "It happened at the police station," he admitted. "Someone stole my mom's gold chain so we went there, and she almost slipped. Without thinking, I used the time manipulation to keep her from falling."

He stopped, his voice laced with regret. "Inspector Robin happened to be there. I think he noticed something, a flicker, something…unnatural."

Anika's blood turned cold. "You think he's with Dashanan ?"

Dhruv nodded curtly. "I'm sure of it. He's inquiring after me, observing me. I can sense it."

Anika considered Dashanan's proposal. Escape from their trials, a shining destiny; if she would betray Dhruv. But seeing him, seeing the fear and exposure in his eyes, she could not do so. He was her friend.
