Another week later, I finally finished the magic eye. Using it, I could rapidly expand any magical code or identify and inspect the composition of an items.
The downside of using it is, at the moment is that there's a time limit and cooldown.
If I used my magical eye longer than 30 minutes for simple identification or 20 minutes for high-intensity focused use, my left eye would start to stingingly ache for an hour or so alongside severe headache.
Another thing that happened when using the eye is, my left would subtly glow. I don't know why it happens but it's probably how the system magic code works.
Speaking of system magic, I can now read some of the codes on the system components. Would I be able to messed and modified it? At the moment no, but it was cool to see and it also gaved me inspiration for some ideas.
In order to increase my limit when using the eye, I needed to improve my mental and physical capabilities. I also needed to learn about more expertises and subjects.
So when I'm inspecting an object, medicine, or something, I would spend less time focusing on that one single item and could quickly moved on to something faster, making better use of my time limit.
Another project idea quickly came to mind when I was working on it, a rapid learning simulation.
Something that could cram as much knowledge into my head in a very short amount of time.
But that would be for something in the future. Right now, I want to play with my new toy.
With the new interface, I can now see the experience bar and the amount of experience I have.
After a week of adventuring in Minecraft, I gained almost 286 levels. After fending off an army of illagers, it's no surprises that I earned that much.
It is also more than plenty for what I'm planning to do. Gathering all of the enchantment books, my guns and a few enchanted items; I headed to the garage.
Putting on an earbud and played my music playlist, I grabbed one of the enchanted bow and used the magic eye on it.
The runes on the bow suddenly started glowing before lines of codes started assembling in front of me in the air like a holographic video.
Looking it over, I understood how the enchantments worked. Putting the bow back down and deactivating the eye, I started disassembling all of the guns.
Right now, I want to see if I could enchant item in a world outside of Minecraft or it could only work in the world of Minecraft.
Wanting to see if book enchantment can combined with each other, I grabbed a power 5, piercing 4, and an unbreaking 3 enchanted book.
Placing the books onto the anvil, I over laid them on top of each other with the pages opened. Taking the hammer I brought back, I kept hitting the stack of until only one book was left.
Everytime I swunged the hammer, I could see my experience level dropping with every hit. By the end of the process, it used up 9 level.
On the anvil was only one enchantment book. Written on the book cover was the title of the enchantment and its' levels.
Opening the book, I skimmed through all the pages and found that all the contents from the other book was printed in the new book, just in really small prints all the way to the last page.
Now placing my disassembled pistol barrel on the anvil, I grabbed the new enchantment boom and laid it over the barrel. Grabbing the hammer, I began hitting the book until it disappeared again.
Soon on the anvil was just a shimmering purple pistol barrel with 3 lines of runes etched on the surface of the metal.
Grabbing the barrel, I used the magic eye to inspect it again. Like before, all of the lines of runes glow and a long list of codes started assembling.
"Look like all of the enchantment are on it, but does it actually work?"
Reassembling the pistol with the new barrel, I grabbed another pistol. Going inside the house, I told the girls I would be outback testing the new enchanted gun.
Curious, they also came outback to see it too. Setting up several steel plates, I walked back about 30 meters and took aimed at the target with the unenchanted pistol first.
*Psshh*
*Psshh*
*Psshh*
After shooting the normal pistol with standard FMJ, the result was as expected.
No penetration what so ever against the 20 millimeters steel plate. Just minor scratches and the flattened bullets.
Switching to the now enchanted pistol, I loaded a new magazine and took aimed at the target again.
*Psshh*
*Psshh*
*Psshh*
Again using standard FMJ, each shot accurately hit the steel plate. Unlike last time, this time there was 3 visible holes bored into 2 plates before stopping at the third plate.
"It looked like the enchantments works perfectly."
Amazed by the result, the girls also wanted to shoot. Handing over the pistol for them to take turn shooting.
I stayed to observed further testing and the result. Wanting to see how the unbreaking enchantment would work, by the end of the day we went through almost 200 rounds of ammo.
We also tested other types of ammunitions, such as hollow-point and armor piercing.
The hollow-point tip wasn't able to penetrate the steel plates given the nature of its' design but it did leave a bigger and wider dent, most likely cause by the power enchantment.
As for the armor-piercing ammo, it passed through 4 plates of steel buried itself in the fifth plate leaving a large dent into it.
Seeing the effect of the enchantment on one components. I became excited to enchant more and wanted to see what a more powerful cartridge could do.
