Starting with the most basic magic, Grand Magister Belo'vir gave Leylin a handwritten magic notebook.
The notebook contained precise magical theory and practical techniques, detailing everything from the rapid storage of magical energy to its high-speed recall.
Additionally, there were three types of fire spells: [Fire Blast], [Pyroblast], and [Scorch]—three basic spells.
That night, Belo'vir personally arranged for Leylin to stay at Farstrider Retreat. Thanks to Belo'vir's status, Leylin could stay there free of charge.
Leylin was flattered to feel so cared for so soon after arriving.
Dinner was roasted spider meat, likely game from the Ghostlands. It looked a little burnt, but the flavor and texture were excellent. Leylin devoured a large plate and began his evening studies.
He was leaving for the Falthrien Academy tomorrow, and today was the time to prepare.
Opening Grand Magister Belo'vir's notebook, Leylin delved deeply into every word.
The notes contained a particularly ingenious method for using magic. While most mages rely on the magical energy stored in their bodies, this technique appears quick and efficient, but the downside is its high energy consumption.
A certain method can alleviate this problem: simultaneously channeling the magical energy within one's body and absorbing the surrounding magical energy to channel into one's own spells.
This two-pronged approach seems quite promising, both efficient and practical.
This method of using magic is called Dual Path Mastery, a type of spell mastery.
Let's give it a try.
Leylin gathered the energy of the element of fire in his left palm, while his right absorbed the surrounding energy, coating the fireball with it. The fireball in his left palm increased to a bigger size. Leylin's talent [Knowledge Comprehension] plus [Mastery of Magic] made learning easier and faster.
Since during combat, a mage losing all of its magical energy is considered an easy kill. But considering his other abilities, will there ever be a time where he would lack magical energy?
Leylin continued cementing his new knowledge, and even tried improving it more. After comprehending the information within Belo'vir's notebook. Leylin continued his daily practice of [Bending Arts] since it is now a part of his routine.
He began conjuring elements into animals and other things trying to see how precise his control of the elements.
Leylin suddenly had an idea, what if he try to combine [Bending Arts] with how the mages harnest their magical energy, would it make casting easier and like during combat you could add mobility since most mages are glass cannons plus when most of the mages during casting, they just stand still.
That would make them an easy target for others to exploit into plus let's say during when you're under attacked then the enemy gets too close. At most, mages would directly use [Blink] to further increase the distance but what if the enemy cancelled it out, either they made it that no magic could be casted within that moment, now that would be an easy kill.
But with his ability [Bending Arts] atleast close combat isn't a problem and with his [Sage Body] the increase in his physique and physical capabilities are higher compared to the average humans.
So just basing on his abilities when combined already makes Linley strong, he may even unlock a new class, a close combat mage.
But who knows if others could do it since most mages in Warcraft History never tried or being too close during the fight? This experiment lasted until late at night. Within the pitch-black room, the flames flickered continuously.
A drowsy Leylin lay on his bed. Anyways, his path of being is a mage is already quite different than most and who knows what he could get in his future sign ins, it might further improve his powers to becoming one of the strongest in Warcraft History.
In the early morning, a small hand pinched Leylin's nose tightly.
"Mmmm, stop it!"
"Wow, Leylin, you bad boy, I miss you so much."
The compact Windrunner threw himself on Leylin without hesitation, burying his little head deeply in Leylin's chest.
"Little sister, how did you know I live here?" Leylin put his hands on Vereesa's shoulders and pushed her up from his chest.
Her fair cheeks, blue eyes, delicate features, and soft light-yellow hair were laid out before Leylin.
After being pushed away, the little sister said resentfully, "Look, you don't miss me at all."
"Oh! I know, is it something my second sister said to you yesterday!" Vereesa rolled her eyes and immediately locked onto the person.
"Stop it, we're not lovers yet, right? Men and women who are not in a relationship shouldn't have such intimate actions," Leylin said awkwardly.
Vereesa looked reserved. She stood beside Leylin's bed and snorted, "So, do you like me?"
"Uh, of course I do." Leylin was no fool. Who wouldn't like a beautiful, lovely, and capable elf girl? Not unless the person isn't interested into girls then maybe.
Vereesa's brows, furrowed downwards, then unfurled like a blooming lotus. She said happily, "If you like me, come chase me."
Puff! Isn't this supposed to be consensual?
"Don't you like me?" Leylin asked foolishly. Even though Leylin had experienced few relationships in his previous life, this was his first in this world.
The youthful innocence of a boy who had never been in love was evident on his face.
Vereesa shuddered, clutching her ranger skirt and hesitantly saying, "Don't ask such strange questions. I don't know."
"Don't know?" Leylin feigned disappointment.
She stole a glance at Leylin's expression and quickly noticed something was wrong. Vereesa explained hurriedly: "Well, not really. Shouldn't boys be the ones taking the initiative in such things? I actually, I actually..."
"You don't want to be called a throwaway, right?" Leylin smiled wickedly.
"I hate you, you rascal. By the way, I saw the picture you drew for my sister. Why are her breasts bigger than mine?" Vereesa demanded, her voice accusing.
Leylin sized Vereesa up and said, "Well, because that's the truth."
"I'll hit you, you pervert!" Vereesa's fist immediately swung towards Leylin's chest.
Looking at the beautiful girl before him, Leylin shook his head helplessly. "Rhonin, I'm sorry, Turalyon, I'm sorry."
Dah, what the hell is Turalyon?!
Leylin felt a faint thrill at his own filthy thoughts.
"Alright, alright. Grand Magister Belo'vir wants me to report to the academy today. I have classes. Aren't you going to your training?" Leylin asked after the commotion was over.
"Yes, it's a required ranger training. We're practicing precision shooting today. My second sister will be our teacher." The younger sister pouted, unaccustomed to Sylvanas's strictness.
"By the way, this is the apple pie I brought you, your favorite." Leylin ran to the door and pulled out the magic preservation bucket from the package. He unscrewed the lid, and a refreshing aroma filled the room.
The little sister happily finished the apple pie, taking out the first piece and just about to put it in her mouth. She paused, then gently put the apple pie into Leylin's mouth, then happily began to eat.
Leylin smiled slightly. What a nice girl! It seems I have to improve my strength. As long as my magic skills are high enough, I don't have to worry about Sylvanas disapproving of my relationship with my little sister.
They went downstairs together, the little sister walking happily in front. Leylin noticed that her hair had become quite messy from her recent thoughts. He held her shoulders, stopped her at the inn door, and personally smoothed her soft hair.
The well-behaved little sister quietly waited for this delicate and gentle moment to end, the smile on her face as sweet as it could be.
Dar'Khan, who was passing by, saw this scene, paused, and clenched his fists.
