Fate is something odd. From every action that one makes, the world shapes itself based on its actions. It doesn't need to be a big change or even have an effect on anything and anyone but oneself but the impact remains.
Where am I going with this?
Well, I guess I should explain from the beginning. My name is Zack Freed, a normal human United States-South Korean that loves everything about life with an obsession with martial arts and getting stronger.
I don't have the 8th grade syndrome! I just want to be the strongest as I physically can. Of course, I'm aware that the human body has limits that no one could surpass no matter what. But that never stopped me from trying just for fun, I would punch metal pipes with my bare fists, do some survival journeys in the wild, and even fight some of the fiercest animals in the wild like: Mooses, bears, even fought a shark once, albeit I almost lost my arm in the process but I won.
Anyway, I was forced to enlist myself in the army because I'm a man and it's either that or get a fine and fuck that so I just went along with it.
Fun fact: Did you know that South and North Korea still hate each other even though their actual war ended over 30 years ago? Yeah, I knew that, but imagine my surprise when the Northern assholes invade my camp and start killing everyone.
I took my rifle and began shooting left and right but it appears that the bastards were more prepared because there was a large number of enemy soldiers, my allies were dropping like dominoes and I knew I would soon follow so, I decided to kill as many as I could.
Fun part about dying is that you barely feel when a bullet pierced through your head and takes you out instantly. Yep, I was dead, did I have any regrets? Yep. Was I gonna start bitching about it? Never. What's happen, happened and that's the truth about the situation.
Or at least that's supposed to be the case, I currently find myself in this weird place that resembles a black void with nothing in it.
Suddenly, I hear something behind me and when I look back, I saw a man wearing white clothes and he's munching on some Doritos while looking at his... phone?
"Em, excuse me." I asked all politely.
"Eh? Oh, another one? Argh, fine. Who are you and how did you die?" The man asked a bit, exasperated?
"I'm Zack Freed and I died because an enemy soldier shot me, are you God?" I asked politely.
"I Can be God If you want to think of me that way, the names Wexof and it is my job to give peeps like you a second chance in life." The man spoke once again.
"Wait! Is this like those anime/manga of the Isekai genre?" I asked with hope.
"Yep, I put you through that shebang to a world of your, or mine, liking, give you skills or OP abilities, the whole package." Wexof.
"Then, if I can choose, I'd like to go to a world where I can get extremely strong." I spoke honestly.
I've seen anime, I know how the things roll with these rules. Fortunately, I lack parents or friends to reconsider this choice, yes life was extremely lonely but I've always been a "Move on" guy so, yeah, call me indifferent but that's how I'm wired, get used to it.
"Strong as in magic or skills?" Wexof asked.
"No! Strong via training my ass off and fighting strong people." I corrected before I got an OP skill.
"Ah, I've got the gist and a good world for ya." Wexof spoke enthusiastically.
He tapped his phone and the whole room illuminated itself, there were now thousands of screens showing different worlds, be it anime, TV sitcoms, cartoons, comics, everything was there.
Wexof didn't had to search for long until he found the world he wanted to send me into.
"This is the best place to fulfill your dreams. The world of One Piece!" Wexof announced with sheer joy.
I winced at him.
"Huh? W-what's the matter? Aren't you happy?" Wexof.
"Well... how do I put this, I'm not a big One Piece fan, or better yet, I don't like One Piece." I said truthfully.
Oh, how I didn't know how big the consequences of those words would be.
The world seemed to freeze as Wexof looked at me with a blank expression.
"Excuse me, what? I believe my hearing has worsened, could you repeat yourself please?" Wexof spoke while cleaning his ears with his pinky finger.
"Well, I said that I don't like One Piece." I confirmed, fucking everything up.
"W-what?! Why?! I mean, no offense but there's no shonen manga that's topping that story so far." Wexof.
"Well, it is way too long. I mean, 25 years and there's still no clue on what the hell the One Piece is in the first place." I spoke.
"That's the whole point! The mystery of what it really is it's what keeps people hooked!" Wexof began growing mad.
"And what about Luffy? The guy's a complete idiot with no self-regard for either him or his crew, and I mean, just 10 crewmembers? Come on! The guy's just lazy."
"Luffy's whole persona is the reason as to why he's so lovable and 10 crewmates, 11 if you're one of those who count either Yamato or Carrot, is a fair number when you've got a heck ton of other characters to keep track of!" Wexof replied even angrier.
"And have you seen how long it is? I mean, I want to watch a simple anime, not a Nat geo documentary special." I spoke and with that, my fate was sealed.
The whole room became more hellish as Wexof's face darkened.
"I've met pushovers with no backbone whatsoever when they do requests, idiots that hated the DC universe and an asshole that's never seen nor heard anything about Bleach. But you, there's a special place in hell for people like you!" Wexof declared madly.
"You know what?! I'll grant you your request, but I'm gonna do it my way! First: You'll be reincarnated in the One Piece world at the age of 4, parentless and all that shit in the middle of the ocean on a small raft."
"Second: I'm making this version of the world 10 times more dangerous than normal to see you survive here!"
"And lastly: Since you love Luffy so... much, I'm putting a condition on you. If Luffy dies and or doesn't become King of the Pirates, YOU'LL DIE!!!" Wexof yelled at my face.
I was taken aback by the sudden change of character until he finished his last sentence.
"WHAT?! That's bullshit! I no longer want to reincarnate at all!" I tried the coward's way out.
"Well fight you in the alps! Because that's not happening! And here's a little, extra: I'm erasing all and every information about One Piece that you may have, at the exception of you needing to join Luffy's crew." Wexof.
"Doesn't that mean that I'll forget his face as well?!"
"Indeed, good luck trying to not die." Wexof declared before opening a portal.
He grabbed me like a dart and prepared himself to throw me through there until I started to beg for my life.
"Wait, wait, wait!!!" I exclaimed.
"What, are you planning to beg? Because you're still fucked." Wexof.
"No! I mean, yes! But since that's not gonna work can I get something at least? Some key details? Crewmembers? Anything?!" I begged.
"Hmm... well, I'm not without compassion so, here!" Wexof.
Wexof flicked his fingers and a lighting zapped me.
"OW! What the hell was that?!" I exclaimed with pain.
"I just imprinted in your mind some survival knowledge, martial arts (the real ones not the wuxia type, and he only knows the movements so he needs to practice them), and miscellaneous skills like sewing, massages, calisthenics, yoga, painting, singing, etc. Also, I put some songs from my personal playlist, don't worry, not every song is anime related." Wexof.
"Most of this is worthless!" I yelled in exasperation.
"Yup, enjoy your travel, BIIIIITCH!!!!" Wexof.
Before I could retort, he threw me through the portal and I blacked out. Which is where my story ends as Zack Freed since that jackass apparently gave me a new name and I can only address myself with it.
My new identity is now: Kazuto D. Kaizo. That guy has a terrible naming sense since:
Kazuto:
Kazu (和 or 数) can mean "peace" or "harmony," but it can also mean "number" or "to rule." In the context of a pirate, it could symbolize someone who brings harmony among a pirate crew or commands many followers.
To (人 or 斗) can mean "person" or "warrior." This reinforces the image of Kazuto as a strong leader or a powerful figure in the pirate world.
Overall: "Kazuto" could be interpreted as "the one who leads or unites."
Kaizo (derived from Kaizoku, the Japanese word for pirate):
Kaizo sounds almost identical to the beginning of Kaizoku (海賊), which directly translates to "pirate."
Motherfucker even wrote me a catchphrase: (Ore wa Kaizo, Kaizoku da!) "I'm Kaizo, a Pirate!"
Fuck. Well, since he erased my memories about the show, I better find some land and plan from there. I did watch some episodes from the show but only the Something Blue Arc and that was three years ago, last thing I heard about it was something called... em, oh, right, I can't remember, it had to do with a number 5 though... I think.
Wait, so I can't remember anything but I do remember that I don't remember and also the part that I don't remember just got censored but it kept the last part of blue and arc? That son of a bitch is just toying with me!
Well, complaining won't do me any good, I check my body to see any abnormalities but thankfully he wasn't that much of a prick to give me any. I took a look at myself and couldn't believe the baby face I have.
That Wexof gave me a pirate-like outfit and hat, which I'm going to throw away eventually, I have blue hair with a white flick, blue eyes and a skin so smooth I feel addicted to touching my own face.
(A/N: Ignore the earrings, I used IA for the image.)
That creepiness out of the way, I started to use this hat to row my way somewhere while I prayed, I didn't get caught in a storm.
This is when the third person narration begins.
And so, our idiot, I mean, protagonist drifted amiss on the sea hoping nothing bad happens. Not a single day passed and he was already caught in a storm and almost sinks into the sea, until a passing ship of fishers save him.
"What the hell is a kid doing in these waters?"
"I don't know neither care, bring the medic!"
Kaizo awakes in a room with a set of white clothes and looks confused believing that he had died again due to drowning. As he looked around the room, the door opened and a doctor arrived to see him.
"Thank God you're awake. I thought we might've lost you here." The doctor exclaimed.
"S-sorry for the inconvenience." Kaizo spoke nervously.
His nervousness is due to the lack of him interacting with others and that made him weak to these sorts of interactions.
"Well, good to meet you, my name is Dr. Colman and I would like to check up on your health, may I?" Colman asked nicely.
"Y-yes." Kaizo.
Colman inspected the weakly body of Kaizo and was relieved to see that the worse had already passed.
"I know it may be like a lot but, could you tell me what a kid like you were doing in the middle of the ocean on your own?" Colman.
Before Kaizo could even speak, words flowed through his mind and his lips moved in sync.
"I was traveling alone after escaping a bunch of pirates that pillaged my hometown, everyone died, including my parents and now I'm all alone." Kaizo begins to cry.
"But my parents told me to be strong and keep moving forward, that's why... THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY LIFE!!!" Kaizo bowed on the bed.
'CRIIIIIIIIIIINGEEEEEEEE!!!!!!' Kaizo's true feelings at the premeditated backstory.
The doctor Colman however bought the whole story and was dripping tears at the 'genuine' feelings of the little kid. To be so young and having to experience that sort of moment, truly heartbreaking.
"Don't worry, I promise you that no one will ever hurt you like that again. This island has nice accommodations for orphans. You'll fit right in." Colman hugged Kaizo.
'I swear to... if there's any way, I can get back at that Wexof, I'll kill him!' Kaizo thought.
"Thank you, sir I mean it. By the way, which island is this?" Kaizo spoke as the auto talking ended.
"Oh, I guess you wouldn't know much but you're currently in the West Blue, more specifically the island of Ohara." Colman spoke proudly.
In that moment, as if something snapped in Kaizo's head happened. A single sentence was highlighted in his brain.
"YOU'RE FUCKED! XOXO WEXOF XD.
