Chapter 1 - Prologue

The sky of the Divine Realm was endless, filled with countless stars. Each star was the mark of a soul in the mortal world, shining with its destiny. Some stars burned brightly, others dimmed quickly, but all followed their path.

Tang San stood alone at the edge of the Star-Sea. His long blue hair moved with the silent wind, his eyes calm but heavy. As both the Sea God and the God of Asura, he could see deeper into fate than most. Yet tonight, one star troubled him.

"Such brilliance…" he murmured. His heart grew heavy. A star like this meant only one thing: a child born with great fortune, blessed with luck strong enough to bend fate itself.

But this was no ordinary star. It pulsed strangely, sometimes glowing with soft green light full of life, sometimes flashing with crimson light sharp as a blade. Life and destruction clashed within it, yet stayed bound together, refusing to part.

It flickered strangely. At times it glowed with warm green light, like spring after winter. At other times it shone with a dark red glow, heavy and sharp, like fire that burned all it touched. The two lights fought against each other, yet also stayed together, never separating.

Tang San's eyes narrowed. "A child of luck… carrying both destruction and life. This… should not exist."

A soft sound broke his thoughts. Light steps came from behind, and a gentle hand slid into his own.

"Ge," Xiao Wu said softly, her voice warm as the spring breeze, "you've been staring at the stars for so long. What is it?"

Tang San did not look away from the strange star. "A child is about to be born. But his destiny is blurred, hidden even from me. It feels as if destruction and life are both sealed within him. Such a thing should not exist."

Xiao Wu leaned against him, resting her head on his shoulder. Her eyes followed his gaze, though she could not see what he saw. "Maybe it's not wrong," she whispered. "Destruction and life are not only enemies. They need each other. One destroys so the other can grow. Maybe this child carries that balance."

Tang San's expression grew more serious. "Balance like that will bring suffering. To hold destruction and life together… his road will be harder than anyone's."

Xiao Wu's fingers tightened around his hand. Her voice was calm, but carried a hidden strength. "Then he must also be someone who changes everything. Don't worry, Ge. A star like this… it will never be alone."

Tang San fell silent. Yet in his heart, he felt the faint unease of a storm that had not yet arrived.

Far from their quiet talk, in another corner of the Divine Realm, two gods stood facing one another.

Hui Mie, the God of Destruction, was a figure of power. His armor was crimson, but cracks ran across it, scars of endless battles. His eyes burned with dark red fire, eyes that had destroyed countless things. But now, those eyes carried something no battle could give him—pain that cut deeper than any wound.

In front of him stood Sheng Ming, the Goddess of Life . She glowed with soft green light, her long gown flowing like a river of spring. Flowers bloomed where she stepped, but her face was pale, her eyes filled with tears she tried to hide.

Hui Mie's voice shook, breaking through the silence. "Sheng Ming… why must the laws forbid us? You bring life, I bring death. Together, we could have created something greater than both. A child who carries our love."

Sheng Ming's tears fell, but she still stepped forward and held his scarred hand. Her touch was warm, but her voice trembled. "Because the Divine Realm fears us. They fear what our child could become. Too much power in one being. A child who could heal everything… or destroy everything. The laws will never allow it."

Hui Mie closed his eyes, his voice breaking apart. "Then why give me this heart? Why let me love you, if all I can do is destroy what I hold?"

The mighty god trembled. His body was unshakable in battle, but at this moment, he looked like a man shattered inside.

Sheng Ming stepped closer, her forehead touching his, her tears brushing his cheek. "Because love itself is destruction and life together. To love is to break, and to heal. Even if the laws tear us apart, even if our dream dies, I will never regret loving you."

Hui Mie's arms closed around her, pulling her close, holding her as if she was the only thing left in his world. Their lips met in a kiss filled with sorrow and longing.

Power burst from them—dark red and bright green, destruction and life twisting together in desperate unity. For a moment, the impossible became real. A spark of new life began to form between them.

But the Divine Laws did not forgive.

Chains of invisible power struck them, ripping the creation apart. The spark shattered, breaking into fragments before it could become whole.

Hui Mie roared in despair. His cry shook the skies, filled with pain so deep it scarred even the Divine Realm. Sheng Ming wept in his arms, her body weak, her tears falling like rain.

Their dream was gone.

Or so they thought.

Neither saw the smallest fragment slip away, breaking free of the chains of law. A spark of destruction and life, hidden from all eyes, escaped and fell.

The spark of destruction and life, hidden from the Divine Laws, fell through endless skies. Faster and faster it sank, until at last it pierced through the clouds of the mortal world.

Snow was falling that night. In the northern lands, winter's breath was sharp and merciless. Outside the grand walls of the White Tiger Duke's mansion, a small wooden hut stood, cold and poor.

Inside the hut, a woman lay weak upon a rough bed. Her face was pale, her lips bloodless, but her eyes were gentle as they pressed against her swollen belly.

"Yuhao…" she whispered softly, her voice trembling from both pain and love. "My little Yuhao… soon you will see this world."

Her name was Huo Yun'er. Once a maid in the Duke's household, once bright and full of dreams. But betrayal and cruelty had pushed her into this broken place, left to raise her child alone in the freezing snow.

Her body shuddered. Pain tore through her, sharper than any knife. The air grew heavy in the hut, her breath quick and uneven. Yet in that moment, something else arrived.

The spark.

It sank into her womb, into the tiny life struggling to be born. For a heartbeat, green and crimson light flashed across the room, unseen by human eyes, yet strong enough to make the world itself tremble.

The whole Douluo Continent stirred.

In the Star Dou Great Forest, spirit beasts raised their heads at the same time, their roars shaking the trees. Kings of beasts, ancient titans, and even the smallest spirit animals felt their hearts pound as if bowing to a higher existence.

In the great human cities, strong Spirit Masters suddenly paused in their cultivation. Their souls shivered, their blood boiled, as if answering to an unknown call.

Across mountains and rivers, flowers bloomed beneath the snow, their petals glowing faintly in the night. Rivers surged as if in joy, and the wind carried a strange warmth even in the dead of winter.

All beings, human and beast alike, felt it—the arrival of a divine child.

In the hut, Yun'er cried out, her body nearly broken from the effort. Her tears streamed, but her hands still reached to hold the child as he came into the world.

A newborn cry pierced the air. Clear, strong, unyielding.

It was not just the cry of a mortal child—it was the cry of heaven and earth announcing his birth.

Yun'er clutched the tiny boy to her chest. Her face was pale, sweat covering her brow, yet her eyes shone with light as she whispered through her tears, "Yuhao… my Yuhao…"

The snow outside stopped falling. Clouds parted, and for a brief moment, the night sky above the White Tiger Duke's mansion cleared completely. A single star blazed brighter than all others, casting silver light down onto the hut, as if the heavens themselves wished to bless the child.

Far away in the Divine Realm, Tang San's gaze sharpened as that same star blazed ever brighter.

"So bright…" he whispered coldly, his eyes narrowing. "Too much luck. Too much fortune for one child."

Tang San's lips curved faintly, but his eyes remained cold as the sea. He said nothing. Deep within, the thought he dared not speak grew sharper: Such fortune… if left unchecked, even gods may fall before him.

But below, the mortal mother did not know of divine struggles or fate's weight. All she saw was the tiny life in her arms, his skin soft, his cry strong.

She kissed his forehead gently. "From now on, no matter how hard the world is, Mother will be with you. My little Yuhao."

The newborn child blinked, as if already sensing the love and sorrow in her words.

And so, under the star that lit the heavens, with all beings stirred by his arrival, Huo Yuhao took his first breath in this world.

A child born of sorrow, yet blessed by both destruction and life.

A child whose fate would one day shake the Douluo Continent itself.
