Chapter 41 - Episode 41: Mohana cast her evil eyes

*The Kashyap Mansion*

As they pulled away from the hug, Mihir's expression turned back to its usual sarcastic self. "Don't get so clingy and tacky, Sahir," he said, his voice laced with mock annoyance. "Listen, don't get married if you're not happy. It's not worth it."

Sahir's face remained resolute. "I have to do this, Mihir. For our family's sake."

Mihir's scowl deepened. "Fine, suit yourself. Do what you want, and I'll do what I want." With that, he turned and walked out of the room.

Sahir's eyes followed him, a furrowed brow. "What does he mean? What will he do?"

As Mihir walked out, a determined glint formed in his eyes. He vowed to create hurdles for the engagement, to make sure Sahir didn't go through with it without a fight. Mihir's mind was already racing with ways to sabotage the ceremony and free Sahir from this unwanted union.

Downstairs, the atmosphere was festive as guests began to arrive for the engagement ceremony. Ruby, dressed in an elegant outfit, stepped into the mansion, accompanied by a couple she had coerced into posing as her parents. She had been holding their daughter captive since she was a child, and threatened to kill her if they didn't comply with her demands.

Sapna, resplendent in her own finery, welcomed Ruby and the couple with a warm smile. Moti Baa, too, greeted them with a gracious bow, her eyes sparkling with warmth.

The couple's faces were etched with fear, their eyes darting nervously around the room. They knew they were trapped in Ruby's web of terror, and couldn't escape without risking their captive daughter's life. Ruby, meanwhile, smiled sweetly, her eyes gleaming with malevolent intent. She was a Daayan, and she would stop at nothing to achieve her goals.

*Ruby's Thoughts*

Ruby's eyes sparkled with calculation as she thought about the engagement ceremony. She knew she had to leave her Daayan ring somewhere in the mansion, not to keep it safe, but so that Mohana, her powerful Maha Daayan queen trapped in the dark cave of Bandhap, could witness the ceremony through the ring's dark magic.

By leaving the ring in the mansion, Ruby would allow Mohana to see everything that happened during the ceremony, allowing her queen to stay informed and maintain her connection to the proceedings. Ruby's actions were carefully planned to ensure that Mohana's presence was felt, even from her confinement.

As the guests cheered and the celebration reached its peak, Ruby seized the opportunity to slip away unnoticed. She made her way to the staircase, her eyes scanning the area to ensure she wasn't being watched.

With a swift motion, she placed the Daayan ring on a delicate flower arrangement, its petals intricately designed. No one saw her, too caught up in the festivities.

As the ring settled into its new position, a strange, ominous energy began to emanate from it. Above the mansion, dark clouds started to gather, their formation eerily synchronized with the ring's presence. The atmosphere grew heavy, and an unsettling feeling settled over the proceedings, as if something was watching from the shadows.

*The Dark Cave of Bandhap*

In the depths of the dark cave, Mohana sat in a meditative posture, her eyes closed, and her forehead began to glow with an otherworldly energy. As she focused her powers, a dark, large, evil-eyed figure materialized above the Kashyap mansion, its presence seeming to draw energy from the Daayan ring Ruby had left behind.

Suddenly, Mohana's eyes snapped open, and she began to see the activities at the mansion unfold before her. Through the dark magic of the ring, she witnessed the engagement ceremony, Ruby's smile, and the unsuspecting guests. Her gaze seemed to pierce through the veil of distance, and she watched with an intensity that sent shivers down the spine.

The dark figure above the mansion seemed to be an extension of Mohana's own powers, allowing her to observe and manipulate the events unfolding below. As she watched, a malevolent grin spread across her face, and her eyes gleamed with anticipation.

Later that evening

Downstairs, the engagement ceremony was in full swing. Sahir and Mihir made their way down the stairs, their eyes scanning the room. Ruby's gaze locked onto Sahir, and she smiled, her eyes gleaming with triumph. She thought to herself that no one would come between her and Sahir, that she had him right where she wanted him.

Meanwhile, outside the mansion, an auto rickshaw pulled up, and Teju stepped out, her eyes fixed on the mansion. At the same time, Maira arrived on her scooter, parking it nearby. She looked up at the mansion, her expression concerned, as if sensing that something was off.

The two women, Teju and Maira, stood outside the mansion, unaware of the dark forces at play, but both seemed to be drawn to the mansion for different reasons.

Outside the Kashyap Mansion

Maira and Teju's eyes met, and they both broke into wide smiles. "Hey!" Maira exclaimed, rushing towards Teju. Teju mirrored her enthusiasm, and the two shared a warm hug.

"Great to see you again!" Teju said, her eyes shining with gratitude. "Thank you again for saving me during that concert fire incident. I'll never forget it!" Maira's expression softened, and she shook her head. "Don't thank me, Teju. We're friends now. That's what friends do for each other."

Teju's face lit up with a smile. "I'm so glad we met, Maira. I'm really excited to see you again!" Maira grinned, happy to see Teju's enthusiasm. "Me too, Teju!

Maira smiled as she looked at Teju, thinking to herself, "Teju is this family's protector, she's Bishwa... but why do I feel so happy whenever I'm with her? It's like we share some deep connection." Meanwhile, Teju was having similar thoughts about Maira, "I feel like Maira is dear to me, like she's someone special... but why?"

As they stood there, lost in their own thoughts, they both wondered about the inexplicable bond they felt with each other. The air was filled with an unspoken understanding, as if their connection went beyond mere acquaintances.

Above the Kashyap Mansion, a dark and ominous presence loomed, casting a shadow over the proceedings. Meanwhile, Maira and Teju walked towards the mansion, unaware of the danger above. As they stepped into the threshold, a sudden surge of magic emanated from the sky. The stars surrounded a crescent moon, and a blast of energy shot towards Mohana's evil eye, dispelling it.

In a distant cave, Mohana felt a sudden jolt and clutched at her eyes. "What sort of divine power attacked me?" she growled, her voice laced with anger and curiosity. Sunehri Daayan, standing nearby, offered a possible explanation. "It could be Bishwa's power, Mohana."

Mohana's expression turned thoughtful. "No, it's not just Bishwa. There's another force combined with it." She pondered the mystery, her mind racing with possibilities. "What two forces came together to create such powerful magic?" The question hung in the air, leaving Mohana and Sunehri Daayan to wonder about the nature of this unexpected attack.

Inside the Kashyap Mansion

Sahir and Ruby stood on the podium, poised to begin the engagement ceremony. Just as the proceedings were about to start, Maira and Teju made a stunning entrance. Mihir's eyes widened in admiration as he gazed at Maira, who was wearing the diamond jewelry he had bought for her. He couldn't help but feel mesmerized by her beauty.

Meanwhile, Sahir's eyes drifted away from Ruby and fixed on Teju, his expression equally captivated. The room fell silent, with all eyes on the two women, as they commanded attention with their presence. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation, and the ceremony seemed to be taking a backseat to the sudden, palpable attraction.

As Ruby stood beside Sahir, her eyes landed on Teju, and her expression turned pale. In her mind, she thought, "Why has Bishwa come here? What if her presence proves to be fatal for me?" Ruby's anxiety grew, and she couldn't help but wonder if Teju's arrival was a sign of impending doom for her own plans. Her grip on Sahir's hand tightened, her mind racing with worst-case scenarios.

Sapna leaned in, a look of recognition on her face. "Uma, Moti Baa, remember that girl who bumped into me at Mihir's concert? The one who helped me with my sprain?" Uma and Moti Baa exchanged a glance, and Sapna continued, "It's her! Teju, the one standing over there."

Uma and Moti Baa's eyes lit up as they recalled the incident, and they nodded in unison. "Oh, yes! We remember now."

Sapna walked over to Maira and Teju, a warm smile on her face. The two girls noticed her approach and touched her feet to seek her blessings. Sapna placed her hands on their heads, her eyes shining with affection. "May you both always be happy and blessed," she said, her voice filled with warmth. Maira and Teju smiled, feeling a sense of peace and contentment wash over them as they stood up.

Sapna smiled warmly at Teju. "How are you, beta?" she asked, using a term of endearment. Teju replied with a gentle smile, "I'm fine, Aunty." Sapna nodded, her eyes sparkling with interest. "It's good to see you. I'm glad you could make it today."

Sapna nodded towards the podium. "Sahir is over there, beta. Won't you go and greet him?" Teju smiled and nodded. "Okay, Aunty." She made her way towards Sahir, exchanging pleasantries with guests along the way.

Meanwhile, Maira's eyes scanned the room, and she spotted Mihir walking upstairs. She decided to follow him, her mind focused on retrieving her locket. As she approached him, Mihir caught sight of her and turned around, leaving Maira feeling slightly boggled by his sudden departure.
