Chapter 188 - 《DXD: Multiverse Journey》Chapter 188: Tohka’s Not So Silly Anymore? Two Girls Fight for His Attention

Shuo couldn't help but sweat at Kotori's outburst.

Was she always this dramatic?

"Hey, Kotori, why so angry? You know, I heard people who get mad all the time—well, their slimes never grow up."

Kotori froze, then glared at him, cheeks burning with embarrassment and fury.

"You perv! Die, Shuo!"

WHAM!

Kotori's flying kick landed square on his face.

"Ahh! Shuo, don't die!"

"Tohka, relax—he just fainted, not dead."

"Boy, boy, wake up! Tell me where my phone is!"

Shuo collapsed in a heap while the girls descended into chaos around him.

Raizen High, Class 2-4.

Shuo and Shiori had barely stepped into the classroom when a storm of gossip hit them.

"Hey, did you hear? Another transfer student's coming."

"Yeah, I saw two gorgeous girls at the office just now."

"Seriously?"

Shiori glanced at Shuo, who seemed lost in thought.

"What's up, Shuo-kun?"

"Just curious. Besides Tohka, who else is joining our class?"

Shiori blinked, remembering Tohka's transfer. Just then, their homeroom teacher, Tamae Okamine, strode in. Instantly, the classroom fell silent and everyone sat up straight.

But when Shuo spotted Murasame Reine at Tamae's side, it all clicked.

Just like the original story—Reine had joined the school as a teacher. But…

"Everyone, this is our new teacher and assistant homeroom teacher, Murasame Reine. You may call her Murasame-sensei."

Tamae turned to Reine, prompting her to introduce herself.

Reine, sporting panda eyes, stared blankly at the students.

"Hello, everyone. I'm the new physics teacher. My name is Murasame Reine. Um, and…"

THUD!

Before she could finish, Reine swayed and collapsed face-first onto the floor.

"Eh!?"

The class stared, dumbstruck.

Was this for real? She looked fine—well, except for the giant dark circles and the sleepwalking vibe. Was she even a teacher?

"Ah! Murasame-sensei, are you okay?"

Tamae rushed over, helping her up.

But Reine popped right back up, unfazed. She blinked at the class, completely unbothered by her fall, and mumbled,

"Um… that's all. Please take care of me."

She bowed again—WHACK!—and smacked her head on the podium.

The students sat in stunned silence.

Shuo and Shiori exchanged glances—one rubbing his forehead in disbelief, the other forcing a smile.

Yep. Reine was just as hopeless as ever.

Tamae, at a loss, awkwardly changed the subject.

"Well, let's welcome our new transfer student—Tohka Yatogami."

At that, Tohka walked in, dressed in the Raizen girls' uniform.

CRACK.

Origami Tobiichi, sitting behind Shuo, snapped her pencil in half. Her icy blue eyes locked onto Tohka—she recognized her instantly.

Tohka stepped up to the podium.

"My name is Tohka Yatogami. I'm living with Shuo right now. I love his cooking. Please take care of me."

The class erupted.

"Wait, she lives with Nangong-san too?"

"So at night, they must…"

"He already stole the cold beauty Origami-san, and he's still flirting with Shiori-san!"

"Wow, what a player!"

The boys groaned in despair.

After the commotion, Tohka bounced over and sat beside Shuo.

The guys watched, faces green with envy, as Shuo was surrounded by Origami, Shiori, and Tohka.

Seriously, not even a drop of soup left for the rest of us. What a beast.

Classes flew by—Shuo napped through them all.

The girls, though jealous of Tohka living with Shuo, adored her innocence.

At lunch, they all pulled out snacks, competing to feed her. Within minutes, Tohka's arms were overflowing with treats.

"Shuo, everyone's so nice! They gave me so many snacks—try some!"

She shoved everything into his hands.

Just as Shuo reached for a snack—

"Mmm."

A pale hand darted in, stuffing something into his mouth.

He looked up—Origami, expressionless, lunchbox in one hand, was feeding him with the other.

"Nangong-san, these snacks aren't healthy and probably taste awful. You should eat the tempura I made myself."

Tohka immediately hugged Shuo's arm, glaring at Origami like a jealous cat.

"You evil robot! Who says Shuo doesn't like my snacks? Yours are probably poisoned—he won't eat them! Go away!"

Origami, noticing Tohka's possessiveness, pulled out her phone, eyes cold.

"Spirit, if you want to live, stay away from Nangong-san. Otherwise I'll call AST and have them wipe you out."

Tohka just tightened her grip.

"Hmph, I'm not scared. Shuo said he'd protect me. If you or your friends try anything, you'll just make him mad!"

Shuo was stunned.

Was this really the same Tohka who, in the original, got played by Origami's schemes and had the IQ of a turnip?

When did she get so sharp—and learn to throw his name around?

Origami, hearing Tohka's retort and glancing at Shuo, reluctantly put away her phone.

Tohka was right—she didn't want to make Shuo angry.

But that didn't mean she'd back down.

Next moment, Origami plopped herself onto Shuo's lap, feeding him directly and shooting Tohka a smug, challenging look.

Predictably, Tohka panicked at Origami's bold move.

The two girls launched into an open battle—neither willing to give an inch.

The boys around them watched, jaws on the floor.

Envy. Jealousy. Bitter defeat.

This was what a winner looked like.

Even lunch tasted bland after that show.
