Pat answered the knock on the front door. His mouth dropped open. "You're Jacob Kennedy."
"Yes. I've been called that." Jacob smirked, his hands gripping a bouquet of white roses. "I'm here for Felix Ford."
"Why? How do you know Felix Ford?" Pat raised an eyebrow.
"He and his friends saved my life," Jacob replied.
"I'm right here," Felix said. Beside him was Kip and Nova.
Jacob smiled and said, "I got these flowers for you. I can't thank you enough for saving my life."
Felix's cheeks turned pink. "I didn't know you were the ruler of Technate."
Jacob chuckled, "Do you want to go to my parliament building with me? I can give you a tour of the building."
Nova said, "Yes! We would love to go there."
Jacob said, "Excellent. Come follow me."
"Pat." Pat turned his head to look at Jared. "You've to go to the church to serve mass."
"Oh. I forgot. I was just so shocked to meet Jacob." Pat grudgingly left to follow Jared.
Nova, Felix, and Kip followed Jacob and his security guards to the limousine. Boarded the limousine; the black leather seats were comfortable.
They helped themselves to the beverages stored inside the mini-fridge. The limousine stopped in front of the parliament building. They exited the limousine and followed Jacob to the common room. The love seats were comfortable, as they sat in them.
Jacob sat in a chair next to his security guard. He asked, "Do you've any questions for me?"
Felix scratched his chin and asked, "Why did you bomb the Dynasty tower?"
Nova snapped, "Felix! Don't be rude. You can't ask him something like that!"
Jacob shook his head. "I understand that he's curious to know why that happened. I can explain it to you; Lolita was plotting to bomb Opal city. The tower was destroyed to prevent devastation to our city."
Felix's jaw dropped open. "How do you know this?"
"Because inside the tower is where the scientists work, they were planning a nuclear bomb. I planned the attack to happen at night, so nobody was inside the building when the explosion occurred. The fighter jet that shot the missile came from Intermarium. Her second assassination against me. Beforehand, one of her planes had dropped a bomb on a church. She planned the bombing of the church because she thought that I lived there. Lolita wants to borrow more money from me. I'm not going to fund her lavish lifestyle, because I'm not her sugar daddy."
Kip said, "How do you know she isn't using the funds for her people?"
"Because she spent the money on upgrades for her castle. I thought the money was going towards road construction, not for pink paint to paint the castle bricks."
Nova asked with wide eyes, "How are you feeling after the car accident?"
Jacob rubbed his brow. "I'd a minor concussion, and I have some bruising on my face. But other than that, I'm fine."
The vice ruler entered the room. "Jacob you're needed for a meeting."
Jacob rose from his seat. "I've to go. I'll have my drivers return you to your home."
