Done for the day, Elena entered into the car as her driver took her back to the mansion. She stepped out of the car, her gaze sweeping the entire compound
"Seems like he hasn't come home" she muttered
She made her way into the house, upstairs, her heels making sounds that she was back home, she passed through those servants who bowed to welcome her.
"Do not prepare dinner for me tonight" she instructed the butler
After finally soaking herself in warm water, she was ready to leave to her mother-in-law house. As she got out of the marvelous mansion, a certain black car zoomed in through the big gate, her gaze followed the every movement of the car as it stopped and a long leg stepped out of the car not even waiting for anyone to open the door for him.
He had seen her standing outside, he wondered where she was off to but still he kept his calm
"May I have the honour of knowing where my wife is off to tonight?" His words shocked Elena, her mind was being calculating at this moment. Not even for once as Adrian ever spoken to Elena White on his own except she initiated the conversation and it was always kept short.
Apart from that...my wife? Sure, she was going to get married to him but him calling her his wife was surprising. Not that she hated it but it was...they weren't married yet and -
"Not responding?" His tone was calm unlike the cold tone of Adrian Black
He moved closer to her, tucking the hair that fell off her face behind her ear.
"My wife decided to ignore my message today" She stared back into those brown orbs staring at her with care. What was this?
"Hmm?" His voice brought her sense back then she asked herself 'What did he ask?'
'...Message? What message, then she remembered the time her phone had tinged and she had ignored it thinking it was her mother...so it was Adrian?why would he message her ?'
"I didn't know you sent me a message" She said her first word since he had arrived shocking her with his actions
"Very well then, you should check it and where are you off to?"
Still, Elena was staring at him, this was a little weird and surprisingly good. Did someone also come to this novel as Adrian. Black. His actions are nothing to what he was in the novel when she read it
"I'm meeting your mom at her house" This time, it was Adrian's turn to be shocked. Why has his mom called to see Elena? Was it concerning the breaking off engagement? If that was it then she didn't need to worry cos she had no such thoughts anymore and they were getting married.
Adrian had the urge to stop Elena from going but he didn't want to surprise her more than what he had done tonight. It was good to see her reaction when he had called her 'wife'
'So cute' he couldn't help but comment in his mind. Although, she had changed a lot but doesn't everyone change too? And he kinda loves this side of Elena more and it seems he was falling more
Descading his thoughts, "Then you should go" Elena had thought he was going to stop her..wait...stop her? Why would he?
