Chapter 60 - A Hammer of Love, Half a Lifetime of Dust

After Thor knocked down all the surrounding Agents, he turned around, panting, and coldly looked at the guy standing in front of him—a man dressed ridiculously conspicuously. Thor frowned, raised his fist, and asked in a low voice, "Are you here to stop me too?"

Dominic innocently spread his hands, a look of "I didn't do anything" appearing on his face. With slightly raised eyebrows, he pretended to say helplessly, "Stop you? Oh, please, brother, can't you tell? I'm dressed differently from them." He slightly waved his hand, as if implying that he and these Agents were "definitely not with them."

Thor stared at Dominic for a moment, confirming he really didn't intend to stop him, then nodded as if relieved. He turned around on his own and continued walking towards the center of the area, muttering in a low voice, "Hammer... my hammer..." His steps were hurried, as if he had finally found a ray of hope.

Dominic followed behind with interest until he saw Thor stop in front of a large rock—on the rock was conspicuously stuck a 'huge' hammer. Thor's knees went weak, and he actually knelt down with a face full of excitement, gently stroking the hammer handle with both hands. His eyes were soft as if he had seen a long-lost lover, and he whispered in a low voice, "Ah... Hammer, I finally found you... In the days you weren't here, I missed you every night..."

Dominic watched the scene in front of him with a look of astonishment, couldn't help but shiver all over, and lowered his voice, saying with a hint of disdain, "Hey, man, I say, this is just a hammer, is it necessary? You're not really treating it like your wife, are you?"

Hearing this, Thor raised his head, his expression carrying an unquestionable pride and a hint of reproach. He replied solemnly, "You don't understand... This is not just a hammer, it is the symbol of my strength, the continuation of my soul." He gently stroked the hammer handle, his gaze full of attachment, as if all his emotions were tied to this hammer.

Dominic rolled his eyes, his mouth twitched slightly, and he muttered to himself inwardly, "Symbol of strength? Brother, I think you're determined to spend your life with this hammer..."

Thor still didn't pay attention to Dominic's sarcasm. His palm gently stroked the hammer's patterns, and his gaze gradually became resolute, as if he had made some decision. However, at this moment, a series of hurried footsteps interrupted the silence—Phil Coulson finally arrived at the scene.

He took a breath, seeing Dominic standing aside with an innocent expression of "I didn't do anything," while over there was a large blond man who was affectionately stroking a huge hammer, looking like he was making a "lover's deep confession" to it. Coulson slightly raised his eyebrows, approached Dominic a little curiously, and asked in a low voice, "This... gentleman, what's his background?"

Dominic spread his hands, his eyes relaxed, putting on a look of "utter innocence," and shrugged lazily, "How would I know? Isn't my outfit special enough? It's different from theirs. As for those Agents knocked down outside, well... they are all this mighty brother's 'achievements'." He didn't forget to raise his eyebrows and raised his chin towards Thor's direction, with an expression of "go ask him yourself."

Coulson smiled slightly, still maintaining a friendly attitude, walked to Thor's side, and asked, pretending to be relaxed, "Uh, friend, do you mind telling me your name? And... what is the reason you are here?"

Hearing the sound, Thor slightly turned his head, his eyes revealing a hint of pride and disdain, as if the question itself was a slight to his identity. He puffed out his chest, took a deep breath, then said proudly, "I am Thor! Prince of Asgard, Guardian of the Nine Realms, Lord of Thunder, Example of warriors... and even more, Son of Odin!" Every title spoken from his mouth seemed to carry the aura of thunder, resonant and powerful, as if he himself was the embodiment of unquestionable glory.

Coulson was slightly taken aback upon hearing it, his gaze couldn't help but drift towards Dominic, with a thoughtful expression. He quietly made a teasing joke, "Hey, Dominic, this friend seems to have no fewer titles than you. Is he really not your 'brother'?"

Dominic glanced at Coulson, with a hint of smugness in his eyes, and replied in a low voice, "Brother? Please, Phil, this guy is just the 'Lord of Thunder'. But I am 'Homelander', the sole Guardian of this Planet! His few titles... better not compare them to mine." His tone carried undisguised confidence and an almost outrageous sense of satisfaction.

Coulson's mouth twitched slightly, and he muttered something inwardly, but still maintained a polite smile. He turned to Thor and asked gently again, "So, Thor, what do you plan to do now?"

Hearing the words, Thor slowly stood up, his gaze firmly fixed on the hammer, a solemn expression appearing on his face. He took a deep breath, raised his right hand, and as if making a sacred resolution, he solemnly declared, "I will regain my strength, lift my hammer, and restore true glory!"

Coulson secretly rolled his eyes inwardly, only muttering a curse in his heart: "Crazy person." This guy swaggering around claiming to be the "Lord of Thunder" made him think of those eccentric people in the mental hospital, where there were always patients solemnly declaring every day that they were "Son of Odin," "reincarnated God of War"... some even swore they were the "only King of the Universe." Thinking of this, Coulson couldn't help but secretly laugh, but when he thought of the 'achievements' Thor had left outside, he had to take it seriously.

Coulson tried hard to force out a professional smile and said in a soft yet suggestive tone, "Uh... Thor, right? If you can't lift it, it's okay. We... have other ways to solve this." His words contained a hidden reminder, clearly implying Thor should give up this futile "struggle." After all, if he messed around too much, he and his Agents would probably have to clean up the mess.

However, Thor didn't catch Coulson's hint at all. Instead, he laughed confidently, as if he had heard some absurd joke, his eyes holding a hint of playfulness. "Can't lift it?" He chuckled softly, as if this remark seemed utterly absurd to him, a hint of arrogance lifting the corner of his mouth. "This hammer has been with me for years. It is the symbol of my strength. How could I possibly not lift it? Don't worry, friend, if I really can't lift it, I, Thor, will... I'll just stay here and clean this place up!" His voice carried an unquestionable confidence, as if lifting the hammer was the simplest thing.

Coulson was slightly startled, looking at Thor's certain expression, and sighed inwardly again, "This guy is really persistent..."

The result.

Thor, with a face full of dejection, holding a broom limply in his hands, lowered his head and swept the dust around. Every sigh carried a taste of heartbreak. He swung the broom dejectedly, like a little lion that had lost its pride, occasionally glancing towards the hammer, his eyes full of accusation, as if it had betrayed him.

Meanwhile, on the side, Dominic and Coulson stood together, staring blankly at this "unexpected" farce. The awkward atmosphere in the air almost solidified into a tangible entity.

Dominic scratched his head, his expression clearly holding back laughter, and raised an eyebrow, whispering to Coulson, "Uh... this really confirms the title of 'Braggart Hero'."

Coulson tried hard to keep his expression straight, maintaining a professional smile, but the corner of his mouth twitched slightly. He replied in a low voice, "Hmm, it seems the Lord of Thunder's cleaning skills are quite good... Just don't know if he sweeps cleanly or not."
