Nova's life was set to be a tough one from the day he was born.
Demons were often feared for their terrifying abilities and their past atrocities on humanity. So when a boy arrived in the village half human and half demon he was quickly looked at with distain. It didn't help that he was orphaned at birth, having never felt the love of a mother or father.
Hatred was all he knew.
Still he wanted to earn their affection. Maybe if he could be a hero, like the holy knights the village would love him. As he became more determined he came across a boy named Sirius who'd lost everything due to the actions of his beloved order sister and a girl named Selene who was hated by the village for being a half elf. The three formed an unlikely friendship due to their shared goal of making things right again.
But once they turn twelve things changed. Sirius turned to the dark side after being betrayed by the village and Selene joined the holy knights. Nova was once again alone.
Still he became a lone warrior. At sixteen, for the sake of his village he slayed his best friend. As he returned to the village he was not greeted with praise but with horror as they once again branded him a monster.
After his banishment he made his way towards the demon king, the man who created him. He had one thing on his mind.
Vengeance.
What he didn't know however was that once the demon king was slain the next available demon would take the throne. Without any choice left he sat on that throne, waiting for a hero to kill him.
And so she did.
"Nova" a tear hit Selene's blade "I wish things could have been different"
"So do I" he stared at his dear friend with dull eyes as she raised her blade.
And that was it. A sad end to a tragic hero.
