"Sharingan!?" Shisui cried out in shock at the sudden change in Itachi's eyes.

Shisui also opened his Sharingan at a very young age, so seeing Itachi's was even more shocking.

Achieving the Sharingan requires not only talent but also crucial opportunity.

Yet, Itachi hadn't even attended the Ninja Academy.

Black magatama slowly swirled within Itachi's blood-red eyes.

Frowning, he looked at Shisui and said, "For some reason, I cannot tell you, Senior Shisui, anything. Under these circumstances, ordinary explanations seem too pale and powerless."

"But these eyes, they are absolutely true."

"The Sharingan: The Eye of the Soul!"

"What are you talking about?" Shisui stared at Itachi.

Only those who possessed the Sharingan could understand what Itachi was trying to say.

The Uchiha clan's Sharingan is called the Eye of the Soul because its opening inevitably creates a wave of intense emotional shock within the soul of the one who awakens it.

"Is what you're about to tell the Hokage also related to the conditions for your eyes to open?" Shisui asked gravely.

He found it hard to imagine the immense mental shock a five-year-old like Itachi had endured to open his Sharingan.

"Yes," Itachi nodded heavily, then said solemnly, "So please believe me, I must see the Fourth Hokage as soon as possible."

Shisui had previously been skeptical of Itachi's words, but after seeing his Sharingan, he was forced to reconsider.

The threat to Konoha and the Fourth Hokage's life was too shocking for a five-year-old to utter.

However, now that Itachi had opened his Sharingan, the situation was completely different.

Moreover, judging from their previous conversation, Itachi displayed a level of logic and insight not possessed by a child.

He didn't waste time talking, knowing that words alone wouldn't convince him, so he simply displayed his Sharingan.

Itachi understood the true meaning of the Sharingan's awakening, a reflection of the mind, which was why he acted so decisively.

This was a point that even some of the Uchiha clan members who had already awakened their Sharingan hadn't considered.

Therefore, Shisui felt that he shouldn't have considered his age as a criterion in their conversation.

After considering this, Shisui looked at Itachi and asked, "How do you intend for me to help you?"

"Before Hokage-sama meets you, you can't convince him the same way. And even if I say something, he might not believe it."

Shisui said this as a final test.

Although he had already decided to report the matter to the Hokage, he also wanted to see if Itachi had any other plans.

"Please give it to Hokage-sama."

Itachi pulled a sealed envelope from his pocket and handed it to Shisui.

"This is my letter to Hokage-sama," Itachi said.

Shisui took the envelope from Itachi's hand and raised an eyebrow.

"Is that all?"

Itachi nodded.

"As long as Hokage-sama sees the contents of this letter, he will definitely agree to my request for a meeting."

"Are you so confident?" Shisui asked.

The boy before him smiled, but didn't answer his question.

Shisui shrugged helplessly, put the letter away, and said, "Honestly, even I'm starting to get a little curious."

As an ANBU member, Shisui knew there were things he shouldn't ask.

But his brief conversation with Itachi had already sparked a flood of questions.

However, as Itachi had previously said, there were things he couldn't tell him yet, so Shisui didn't intend to question him.

"I'll take the letter for you," Shisui said.

"The day after tomorrow, I'll report something to the Hokage. Come see me here again in the evening."

Since Itachi had said that what he was about to say had to be kept secret from the village leaders and the clan leader, some of the details could only be conveyed through Shisui.

"Thank you."

Itachi bowed solemnly to Shisui, and when he looked up, his Sharingan had already been deactivated.

After two weeks of training, Itachi was able to maintain his Sharingan for a while.

"If the situation is as serious as you say, and you were able to prevent it, I should be the one thanking you," Shisui said.

He was still thinking about the future of the village until his death.

"Shisui-senpai, I have some things to do tomorrow, so I'll take my leave now."

Itachi nodded at Shisui, transformed into a shadow in the darkness, and flew towards his home.

Shisui watched Itachi's receding figure.

Besides his deep curiosity about him, a sense of mutual understanding gradually emerged.

Itachi's way of doing things was very similar to his own.

It was just astonishing that Itachi, at his age, was already showing all this.

On his return journey, Itachi still carried the same weight he'd brought with him.

But now, carrying it was far less strenuous than before.

By this time, the streets of the Uchiha clan were already deserted. It was already bedtime.

After about forty minutes, Itachi could already make out the outline of his own courtyard.

As he approached the gate, he noticed the lights were still on.

As he entered, the door to the hall in front of him was open.

Fugaku, sitting at the table with his arms folded, turned to look at Itachi and said simply, "You're back."

Itachi walked into the room and was startled to see food still on the table in front of Fugaku.

"Eat, this is something Mom prepared especially for you," Fugaku said.

He looked Itachi up and down and said, "It seems you've been training hard for the past half month."

"After dinner, go wash yourself and change into clean clothes."

"Get a good rest tonight and prepare for tomorrow's test."

Itachi stood there in a daze.

"Itachi, you're back," Mikoto said, walking out of the side room with a look of surprise and a gentle smile.

"I thought it was about time you were back. It seems Mom was right."

She walked up to Itachi, brushed the dust off his hair, and said, "I'll prepare a bath for you now. You must not have eaten well in the past half month."

"You've lost a lot of weight."

Mikoto ruffled Itachi's hair and walked into the side room again.

Fugaku watched Mikoto leave, then turned back to Itachi, a smile breaking through his serious face.

He said, "It seems your mother understands you best. She even timed your return home perfectly."

"What are you still standing there for? Come over and eat."

"Yes!"

Itachi suppressed his joy and nodded.

No matter what, then or now, the people who understand you best and love you deeply are always your parents!

...

The next morning.

Itachi woke up early as usual, not because of his rebirth, but rather a habit he'd developed since childhood.

Ever since he was old enough to understand, he'd been practicing basic exercises.

He quietly entered Sasuke's room, where little Sasuke lay soundly asleep in his cradle.

In the two weeks Itachi had been away training, Sasuke had grown a bit, his features becoming more defined, a stark resemblance to Mikoto.

Itachi felt relieved, and just as he was about to turn and leave, Sasuke slowly opened his eyes.

"Aaaaaa!"

Upon seeing Itachi, Sasuke's sleepy eyes suddenly brightened, and he opened his arms to him.

Itachi chuckled softly, lifted Sasuke from the cradle, and said, "Sorry, Sasuke, I woke you up."

"Wow."

At that moment, the side door opened.

Mikoto and Fugaku emerged, having risen even earlier than Itachi.

"Then get ready to go," Fugaku said, looking at Itachi.

"Yes!" Itachi nodded.

Last night, Fugaku had specifically instructed him that the test would take place early this morning.

Fugaku would personally preside over the test.

Mikoto walked over to Itachi, held out her hand, and said, "Leave Sasuke to me."

"Sasuke, good boy. I have things to do right now, but I'll be back soon," Itachi said softly, looking at Sasuke in his arms.

He then handed Sasuke over to her.

Sasuke seemed to understand Itachi's words and stopped crying.

"Let's go." Fugaku glanced at Itachi and headed out.

"Mom, we're going out!" Itachi nodded to Mikoto and followed Fugaku.

At this hour, the streets of the Uchiha district were sparsely populated, save for a few early-morning vendors.

When they saw Itachi and Fugaku, their eyes, besides the usual politeness, held a hint of surprise.

After all, Itachi was already five years old, but this was the first time they had seen the father and son together in such a visible way.

Fugaku led Itachi toward the clan's training grounds, the forest where Itachi had spent the previous fortnight.

Itachi understood his father's thoughts.

Fugaku hadn't announced the opening of his Sharingan.

The very nature of the test, held in private, was intended to conceal information.

"Although you should know it even without me saying it, I must remind you," Fugaku said sternly as they neared the forest.

"Whether you win or lose this match, you must not reveal the outcome to anyone."

Itachi nodded.

"This brat..."

Seeing Itachi's calm demeanor, Fugaku's interest grew.

Although he rarely guided Itachi's training, as a father, he knew the extent of his strength.

The only variable was the two weeks of intense training.

As the head of the Uchiha clan, Fugaku was naturally a renowned figure in the ninja world.

In his opinion, a mere two weeks of arduous training for a five-year-old child was simply not enough to bridge such a vast gap.

The Genin, freshly graduated from the Ninja Academy, though lacking in combat experience, possessed fundamentals far superior to Itachi's.

Fugaku and Itachi quickly arrived outside the forest training grounds.

A young Uchiha boy was already waiting under the shade of a tree.

He was about eleven or twelve years old, dressed in clothing bearing the Uchiha family crest and a Konoha headband.

Upon seeing Fugaku and Itachi, he approached them.

Once they were in front of him, he respectfully addressed them, "Master Clan Leader, Master Itachi."

"Hello, Nai-senpai!" Itachi nodded at the boy.

He had learned the boy's name, Uchiha Nai, from Fugaku last night.

"Yes," Fugaku replied calmly, leaping back lightly and landing several meters away from the two.

"Begin."

As the clan leader, Fugaku's style was typical.

He wouldn't repeat himself.

Itachi immediately became alert, but Uchiha Nai looked at Itachi and said, "Don't worry, Master Itachi, I won't hurt you."

Although he had heard that the clan leader's eldest son possessed great talent, Itachi was still very young, so he didn't think he was an opponent worth taking seriously.

"Nai-senpai, since my father has just announced the start, considering your current vulnerable posture, it wouldn't be a foul for me to attack you," Itachi remarked.

Uchiha Nai was indeed a recent graduate, lacking in combat awareness.

In fact, Itachi could have attacked him when he'd let his guard down, but he chose not to.

"Just give it your all, please," Itachi declared sternly.

The purpose of this test was to gain his father's approval, so he had to satisfy Fugaku.

Most Uchiha clan members were arrogant, and Uchiha Nai was no exception.

When Nai heard Itachi's words, his pride was wounded.

But while arrogant, he wasn't foolish.

As Itachi had just said, he shouldn't underestimate his opponent just because he was a five-year-old.

Furthermore, Itachi displayed a maturity that belied that of a child his age.

"In that case, Master Itachi, I won't hold back!" Uchiha Nai's gaze straightened.

With a swish, he shot towards Itachi like an arrow.

It must be said that, despite his lack of combat experience, Uchiha Nai's speed was faster than most of his fellow graduates.

Graduates of the Uchiha clan, barring unusual circumstances, almost always topped the graduating class of each Ninja Academy.

Uchiha Nai rushed directly towards Itachi, raising his right hand, palm shaped like a blade, intending to strike at his chest.

His speed and movement might seem unremarkable to Fugaku, but to a five-year-old, it was an almost unstoppable, fierce attack.

Facing Uchiha Nai's oncoming attack, Itachi leaped into action.

He immediately met this direct attack.

"Hehe."

Seeing Itachi's movement, Uchiha Nai's eyes flashed with sarcasm.

This reaction was a sign of panic, playing right into his hands.

Undeterred, he continued his blade's thrust towards Itachi's chest.

With his blade within twenty centimeters of Itachi's chest, the latter suddenly paused, his entire upper body tumbling backward.

Uchiha Nai's blade slashed through Itachi's arched body, practically brushing against it.

At this moment, Itachi's upper body had fallen back, his hands already touching the ground.

He braced himself on the ground with both hands, exerting force at his waist, his entire body straightening.

Bang!

Uchiha Nai had no way to dodge at this point. Itachi straightened up and slammed his legs into his arms.

After two weeks of weight training, Itachi's kick was incredibly powerful, sending Uchiha Nai's arms flying high, leaving his body vulnerable to attack.

That's why Itachi had met his attack head-on, engaging in close combat.

He braced himself on the ground with his arms, exerting force again, bouncing his body upwards, and then, using the force of his entire body, delivered a straight punch to Uchiha Nai's chest!
