"How is this possible!?"

Minato's face suddenly turned horrified as he gazed at the contents of the letter.

Shisui had never personally read the letter, so when he noticed the change in the Fourth Hokage's expression, his pupils shrank slightly.

What could have been written in the letter that could have caused such an expression on the usually calm Fourth Hokage's face?

He carefully observed the shifting expression on Minato's face.

Beneath his shocked expression, a deep fear welled up in his azure eyes.

Not only him, but even Jiraiya, Minato's teacher, and his wife Kushina, might not have seen him react so dramatically to a few words.

Minato suddenly raised his eyes and looked at Shisui, his voice solemn, "Have you read the contents of this letter?"

Shisui shook his head, saying, "No, Itachi specifically warned me when he gave it to me."

At this point, his doubts about Itachi grew, but as an ANBU and a ninja, he could only suppress these emotions for the time being.

This was one of the reasons Itachi had asked Shisui to act as intermediary.

Because they were once close friends, and the person who knew Itachi best was Shisui, not Mikoto or Fugaku.

"I'm sorry," Minato said, realizing that he had lost his composure a bit.

However, the contents of the letter were indeed of great importance, involving a wide range of issues, hence Minato's reaction.

He lowered his eyes, staring at the letter.

"Even Fugaku wouldn't know this information. Where did he get it?"

Shisui stared silently at Minato, who seemed to be lost in thought.

After a long moment, the latter's hand, holding the letter, gradually clenched, and the paper was gradually crumpled in his palm.

When he opened his palm again, the letter had already crumbled to pieces.

Minato looked at Shisui and said, "Go tell Itachi I want to see him, as soon as possible!"

"He actually agreed!"

Shisui was stunned.

Minato's reaction reminded him of what Itachi had said the night before, when he had handed him the letter.

Just as Itachi had said, the Hokage had actually agreed to his request for a meeting.

He immediately replied, "I've already agreed with Itachi. I'll pass on the message and the news to you today, and he'll meet me at my house tonight."

"Really?"

Minato muttered, then opened a drawer in his desk and pulled out a uniquely crafted kunai, resembling a trident.

The handle was adorned with distinctive black markings.

This was his unique Flying Thunder God Kunai.

The markings on the handle represented the coordinates for his space-time ninjutsu, the Flying Thunder God Jutsu.

With this jutsu, Minato earned the title of Yellow Flash during the Third Shinobi World War.

During the war, both the Kumo and Iwagakure villages had issued a similar order:

"If you encounter Konoha's Yellow Flash while on a mission, abandon the mission immediately and flee!"

This was a unique order in ninja history.

At the time, the Kumo and Iwagakure were forced to issue this order.

If they didn't do so, allowing their own ninja to clash with Konoha's Yellow Flash would only result in further losses.

During the Third Shinobi World War, countless ninja from Konoha's hostile nations had their lives forever frozen in time upon witnessing that yellow light.

It was precisely because Minato mastered space-time ninjutsu that he could freely travel between the battlefields of Konoha and other villages, engaging the enemy and turning the tide of battle.

Minato tossed the Flying Thunder God Kunai to Shisui.

Shisui grasped the kunai, which was significantly heavier than an ordinary one, and at the same time, Minato's voice rang out.

"Take my kunai. When you see Itachi, channel your chakra into your hand, gently grasp it, and I'll move over."

Minato looked at Shisui seriously and said, "Before that, make sure to check the surroundings."

"Yes, Hokage-sama!" Shisui nodded.

"Thank you for your hard work," Minato said with a gentle smile.

"Then I'll take my leave," Shisui said, turning and leaving the Hokage's office.

After he left, Minato turned around and stared at the village below through the window.

"If we follow the information in the letter, does that mean..."

...

After dinner, Itachi helped Mikoto clear the dishes and the table, then said, "Mom and Dad, Sasuke, I'm going out first."

"It's so late, do you still want to practice?" Mikoto frowned slightly.

Itachi did the same thing last night, and after dinner he went out to practice for a while.

"Yeah."

Itachi nodded, and little Sasuke seemed to be gradually accustomed to Itachi's timing.

He even waved his hand at Itachi.

Swish!

Itachi left the house, leaped lightly onto the roof, and quickly headed towards Shisui's home, the Uchiha clan's forest training grounds.

He wasn't carrying any weights today, so it took him less than ten minutes to reach his destination.

Itachi arrived at Shisui's door, where he had been waiting for a long time, leaning against the tree where he had practiced shurikenjutsu.

"Shisui-senpai, how is it?" Itachi asked tentatively.

Shisui looked at Itachi, his eyes filled with curiosity, then chuckled softly.

"I have delivered your message and the letter to the Hokage."

"He agreed to your request and wishes to see you soon."

Itachi wasn't surprised by the Hokage's reaction.

He watched Shisui as he pulled a kunai from his ninja tool bag, a kunai the likes of which Itachi had never seen before.

But Itachi immediately noticed the pattern on the kunai's handle.

"The kunai that the Fourth Hokage used to perform the Instant Body Technique?"

Wow!

Shisui's palm that was holding the kunai was suddenly covered with a layer of pure azure chakra.

He also clenched the palm that held the kunai slightly.

This lasted for about a few seconds.

Swish!

Suddenly, a figure suddenly appeared beside Shisui.

Itachi looked at the back of the tall blond man wearing a white divine robe embroidered with a fire cloud pattern, and his expression immediately became serious.

"Hokage-sama!"

Shisui said respectfully when he saw Minato.

Minato nodded slightly, turned around, and his eyes met Itachi's.

"Itachi? You've grown a lot taller than I remember."

Minato's smile was still so gentle.

Itachi also showed a respectful expression and said, "Hokage-sama, please forgive me for asking you to meet in this way, but I really have no choice."

Hearing this, the gentle expression on Minato's face gradually disappeared.

The reason why he greeted Itachi in this way was to treat him as a five-year-old child for the last time.

But judging from the reaction Itachi gave him, it was no longer necessary.

Looking at Itachi, the expression in his azure eyes suddenly became serious.

"Let's talk somewhere else."

Minato looked at Shisui and said, "Leave the mark here. I'll send Itachi back after we're done."

"Yes!" Shisui replied.

Minato walked over to Itachi, squatted slightly, and placed his hand on his shoulder.

Swish!

In an instant, Itachi's eyes flashed, and he was already in a completely different space.

He looked around.

It was a small wooden house with only a table and some simple practice tools.

There was some dust inside the wooden house, obviously no one had been there for a while.

There was no light in the house, only the bright moonlight pouring in through the high windows.

In the dim light, Minato looked at Itachi, frowning, and said, "Where did you get the content of the letter that you asked Shisui to give me?"

His expression was extremely serious, and his tone was almost questioning.

"I'll explain everything to you later, but for now, please allow me to ask you a question."

Itachi stared at Minato, his expression equally serious, belying his apparent age of only five.

"Ask," Minato said.

"Actually, you came to see me, not only to find out the source of that information, but you probably also anticipated what I was going to tell you, didn't you?"

Although Itachi had already learned a lot about the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, from his mother, Mikoto, and had formed a conscious judgment of his character, out of caution, Itachi had to confirm it himself first.

"Is this little guy actually examining me?"

Minato muttered to himself, then nodded and said, "You're saying that someone will take advantage of Kushina's upcoming birth, when the seal on the Nine-Tails weakens, to snatch the Nine-Tails from my grasp and use it to attack Konoha!?"

Initially, Minato himself couldn't believe this inference based on the information in Itachi's letter.

Before then, few people in the world would have known such information.

Even if someone knew this information, no one would have the ability to snatch the Nine-Tails from under his nose.

However, Itachi had told Shisui that such a move would endanger his own life and the safety of all of Konoha.

Minato could think of no other possibility.

"You are worthy of being the Fourth Hokage. You have almost deduced the entire incident from just a few pieces of information," Itachi praised heartily.

His letter contained three items:

The current Jinchƫriki of the Nine-Tails is the Fourth Hokage's wife, Uzumaki Kushina.

The seal on a female Jinchƫriki gradually weakens with pregnancy.

The Fourth Hokage and Uzumaki Kushina's child is due on October 10th.

These three pieces of information were Konoha's top secrets.

The due date, in particular, was unknown to the village's senior officials, save for a few medical staff at Konoha Hospital, Minato, and the Third Hokage.

Therefore, Minato was extremely shocked at how Itachi had known such confidential information, information that even his father, Fugaku, was forbidden from accessing.

This information not only concerns the safety of the village, but also that of Minato's beloved wife and unborn child.

It was precisely for these reasons that Itachi anticipated that the Fourth Hokage would inevitably come to see him once he read the contents of the letter.

"So, someone really wants to take advantage of this opportunity to attack the village?"

Minato exclaimed in shock.

Although he hadn't received any response from Itachi yet, based on Itachi's reaction and the information he had, he could already make a number of assumptions.

"It seems, just as Mother said, the Fourth Hokage can be trusted," Itachi pondered, observing Minato's reaction.

Until now, the man before him hadn't forcefully questioned him.

He had even appeared in person to speak with him.

Under the same circumstances, if it were the Third Hokage or other high-ranking officials of the village, as Itachi knew, they would not only question him, but would also try to obtain information from Itachi about all those who knew this information and then take them into custody.

(A/N: For me, Minato and Hashirama are the best hokages, who always put village above themselves and are not paranoid like Tobirama and Hiruzen. Even, Naruto and Tsunade can't compare to them. If Minato had survived, the entire Naruto series would be altered and fans wouldn't gain any plot holes to write fanfictions.)

If that were Itachi's previous thinking, he would have acted in the same way.

But after his rebirth, Itachi absolutely did not want to implicate his parents and family.

Of the current leaders of the village, only the Fourth Hokage could be trusted to handle this secretly and rationally.

"Hmm."

After letting down his guard, Itachi looked at Minato and replied in a heavy voice, "Yes, they do."

"That's impossible! Even if they knew the information, no one could do it!"

Minato frowned.

In his opinion, no ninja in the world could do such a thing.

Kushina had been the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki for so many years, but she hadn't been able to successfully control its chakra, let alone the Nine-Tails once it was freed from its seal.

Only the Uchiha clan's Sharingan could control the power of the tailed beasts.

But in Uchiha history, only one person possessed such eye power.

Itachi lowered his eyes and murmured, "Everyone relies on their own knowledge and understanding, and is bound by them, calling them reality. Knowledge and understanding are very ambiguous things. That reality may be nothing more than an illusion, and people live in their own imaginary lives."

"Hokage-sama, even with your abilities, you are still bound by such an illusory reality. Indeed, according to the reality we see, such a thing would be impossible for anyone to achieve."

"But reality is not like that."

He knew that the Fourth Hokage, who had deduced the Nine-Tails incident from such information, must have thought of that one possibility, yet one he had rejected.

"So-called reality is formed by one's own cognition?"

Minato found it hard to imagine such profound words coming from a child of only five years old.

But following the meaning of these words, Minato immediately came to his senses and looked at Itachi, his face again filled with shock.

"The one who wants to take advantage of this opportunity to attack Konoha is Uchiha Madara?"

Today, everyone in the world knows that Uchiha Madara was defeated by the First Hokage, Senju Hashirama, in the great battle at the Valley of the End decades ago.

But if we go by Itachi's words, is this ending that the world knows true?

This subversive information made Minato's heart difficult to calm down, and Itachi in front of him also had a solemn expression.

Itachi seemed completely convinced of this fact that went against everyone's cognition.

"Then how can you be so sure that what you know is the true reality, Uchiha Madara, and that he is still alive in this world!"

"Because I saw the reality."

Itachi looked at Minato seriously, his black pupils turning blood red in an instant.

"I saw that man with my own eyes, and he is still alive!"
