"Is this Itachi's true purpose?" Fugaku muttered.
He could see clearly what Itachi had done.
From the very beginning, Itachi's true goal wasn't to injure Uchiha Nai with his shuriken, but to force him to use ninjutsu to resist his attacks.
Uchiha Nai had only recently graduated from the Ninja Academy, and even the simplest Great Fireball Jutsu was a tremendous drain on his chakra.
Thinking of this, Fugaku's heart trembled.
Recalling the details of their previous encounter, it was clear that Uchiha Nai had been playing into Itachi's plans step by step.
Using the most ingenious tactics, Itachi pressed his enemy, ultimately achieving his desired outcome!
Amidst the blazing flames, Uchiha Nai's hands gradually lowered, his eyes dimming slightly.
Clearly, performing the ninjutsu to resist Itachi's shuriken had consumed a considerable amount of his energy.
Swish!
At that moment, a dark figure appeared behind him, taking advantage of his moment of sluggishness.
If Itachi had approached Uchiha Nai before he performed his jutsu, he would have undoubtedly been noticed.
However, as chakra depletes, a person's speed, strength, and reflexes decrease.
Just as Itachi and Uchiha Nai were extremely close, the latter finally sensed something.
"Bang!"
But before he could turn, Itachi pressed against him, locking Uchiha Nai with his right arm and pressing a kunai to his throat with his left.
In actual combat, applying a chokehold to Uchiha Nai at this point would have been unnecessary, as it would have taken time for the opponent to react.
However, with Itachi's five-year-old height, it would have been impossible to place the kunai on a vital point without doing so.
Fortunately, Uchiha Nai had little combat experience and was relying solely on his brain, but it was already too late.
The flames gradually dissipated, revealing a figure within.
Itachi pressed the kunai to Uchiha Nai's throat.
The latter looked at him with horror, sweat dripping from his forehead.
Uchiha Nai could never have imagined that he would be defeated by a five-year-old.
Moreover, it was a near-complete defeat, with no chance of resistance or struggle.
If Itachi were truly his enemy by now, he would be a corpse.
Uchiha Nai looked at Fugaku, who folded his arms, a wry smile on his face.
He said, "Master Clan Leader, I lost this match!"
He then glanced sideways at Itachi and said, "Master Itachi, I lost, and I accept it wholeheartedly."
While Uchiha Nai possessed the rebellious streak common among most clan members, he understood that in front of Itachi, he had no room for arrogance.
To achieve this level of talent at the age of five, the word "genius" alone was insufficient to describe Itachi.
In his opinion, none of the great figures in Konoha's history had ever achieved this.
"Senior Nai, thank you," Itachi nodded gently, releasing his hands and letting them fall.
He took two steps forward, looked at Fugaku and said, "Father."
"You did very well!"
Even Fugaku couldn't think of any other words to describe Itachi's performance.
He had intended this as a way to teach Itachi that some things in this world can't be achieved without experience.
And while Fugaku had considered the possibility that Itachi might succeed, he never imagined that Itachi would achieve victory in such a manner.
It seemed as if he hadn't even exerted his full strength, yet he had already defeated a Genin from the Uchiha clan.
Fugaku could see that Itachi's speed and strength had greatly improved over the past two weeks.
But these weren't the key to his victory. Itachi's tactical acumen, his thinking, and his exquisite shurikenjutsu were the key.
The Uchiha clan was renowned in the ninja world for their Sharingan, fire-style ninjutsu, and shurikenjutsu.
However, within the current Uchiha clan, there were only a few who could perform the throwing technique Itachi had just demonstrated.
Fugaku hadn't taught him this technique.
It was truly difficult to explain how he had achieved it simply through natural talent.
But no matter how shocked Fugaku was, Itachi had indeed done it.
"Based on your performance just now, you've undoubtedly passed," Fugaku looked at Itachi and said, "Well, you can go home now."
"Yes!"
Itachi fulfilled the agreement, but he didn't feel any joy about it.
Because only Itachi himself knew that the reason he had made such great progress in just two weeks had nothing to do with talent.
In terms of appearance, Uchiha Nai seemed to have a significant advantage.
But in reality, Itachi was fighting a child with an adult's strategic thinking.
Regardless, he had finally bought himself time to grow stronger.
With a swish!
With that, Itachi darted away, leaving the training ground.
After he left, Fugaku approached Uchiha Nai and said in a deep voice, "As I instructed before, your fight with Itachi today, and all the details, must not be leaked."
"Yes!"
Uchiha Nai replied, but inwardly, he was deeply puzzled.
The clan had produced a genius even more astonishing than Uchiha Shisui of a few years priorāa cause for celebration.
But why would the clan leader keep it a secret?
As a ninja, and a member of the Uchiha clan, obedience was his first duty.
Fugaku nodded in satisfaction and vanished from Uchiha Nai's sight.
After the test, Fugaku headed directly to the Uchiha Guard, remaining busy until late at night before returning home.
At this time, Itachi and Sasuke had fallen asleep.
He gently pushed open the door.
Mikoto was wearing pajamas, with long black hair hanging down.
There was a hint of worry on her soft and pretty face.
"You haven't slept yet."
Fugaku said, in fact, he had expected it a long time ago.
After knowing that Itachi had won the competition today, Mikoto naturally found it difficult to fall asleep.
She was not only worried about Itachi's withdrawn personality, but now she was even more worried about what Fugaku had said half a month ago.
Fugaku didn't have a good way to persuade her.
Because until today he realized that as a father, he couldn't see through Itachi.
Fugaku was also powerless to solve the problems that Mikoto was worried about.
In many cases, being too outstanding is not a good thing.
If a person's cognition and thinking mature too early, it is inevitable that they will develop a kind of paranoia that they themselves have not noticed.
The next morning.
Itachi got up early as usual, took a look at the sleeping Sasuke, then rushed out of the house carrying a sandbag that was heavier than half a month ago and began his morning training.
At the same time, in the Hokage building.
"Knock knock!"
Shisui walked to the Hokage's office and knocked on the door.
"Come in."
Then, a gentle voice came from the door.
Shisui pushed the door open and walked in, closing the door.
He turned around, and behind the desk in front of his sight sat a young man.
His azure eyes were reading a document in his hands.
When he saw the man, Shisui's eyes immediately revealed a heartfelt admiration.
Because the person in front of him was the Fourth Hokage of Konoha, Namikaze Minato!
...
"It's Shisui."
The Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, lifted his gaze from the documents in his hands and looked at Shisui.
He had blonde hair and a handsome face, and his gaze was as gentle and kind as his voice.
"Hokage-sama."
Shisui walked to the Hokage's desk, and Minato also stood up from his seat.
In the year or so since Minato became Hokage, he would always stand up to greet anyone, no matter what their mission.
This wasn't a deliberate practice.
Minato had always been humble from childhood.
"I've compiled all the details of the last mission."
Shisui pulled a scroll from his pocket and handed it to Minato.
"You did a great job on that mission," Minato took the scroll and chuckled.
For every mission carried out by the ANBU, not only must they report the results to the Hokage, but they must also clearly report the entire process.
After all, any mission handled by the ANBU is unusual.
"What's wrong? Is there anything else?"
Minato looked at Shisui, who now looked a little strange, as if he was hesitant to speak.
"Hokage-sama, I have something else to report to you," Shisui said.
"Go ahead," Minato nodded.
Shisui looked at the Fourth Hokage and said, "You should know Uchiha Itachi, the eldest son of the Fugaku clan leader?"
"Yes," Minato replied with a smile.
"Actually, Fugaku came to see me yesterday, and what he was talking about was related to Uchiha Itachi."
Shisui's eyes were slightly startled.
"Today is the second day of the pre-school assessments for the Ninja Academy. Fugaku came to me yesterday, saying that his son no longer wants to attend," Minato explained.
Before the establishment of the Ninja Academy, ninja training was almost entirely handled by each ninja clan.
Since its establishment, however, the descendants of these clans in Konoha have been required to undergo training at the Ninja Academy.
However, this does not necessarily mean that systematic training at the Ninja Academy is required to become a ninja.
As the most powerful clan in Konoha, the Uchiha clan's traditional training methods weren't necessarily inferior to those of the Ninja Academy.
Minato had heard that Fugaku's eldest son, Itachi, was a gifted child.
The last Uchiha to earn a reputation as a prodigy was Shisui, who had been recruited into the ANBU for some reason.
Minato could probably guess the reason behind Fugaku's actions.
Itachi had the final say in the matter of admission, so unless he didn't want to, the village leaders couldn't interfere.
Minato agreed to Fugaku's request.
Since this wasn't a secret, Minato told Shisui.
Shisui knew nothing about this until Minato explained it.
Therefore, he assumed it was the clan leader's decision, unaware of any other factors.
"Come to think of it, it's been a while since I've visited that child."
Minato had seen Itachi when he was young, and he had a close relationship with Kushina and Mikoto.
However, with Minato becoming Hokage and Fugaku becoming the head of the Uchiha clan, meetings between the two families became more difficult.
"You suddenly mentioned Itachi. Could the matter you're reporting be related to him?" Minato asked.
Shisui nodded and said, "I just saw Itachi the night before last. He said he wanted to see you, so he asked me to pass on a message."
"See me?" Minato raised an eyebrow, puzzled.
"If he wanted to see me, why would he go through you?"
This seemed a bit puzzling to Minato.
He had just met Fugaku the day before, and Fugaku hadn't told him about this.
In other words, Itachi's decision to see him was his own.
And for him to seek out Shisui for this very purpose, his motives must be far from simple.
"Because he hid the fact that he had seen you from the other village leaders and his father, the head of the clan," Shisui replied.
"This..."
Minato's expression changed slightly, a look of surprise in his eyes.
Besides being increasingly astonished at Itachi's purpose in seeing him, he was also somewhat shocked by his actions.
He wanted to avoid Fugaku and the village's higher-ups, so he sought out Shisui, a member of the ANBU.
It's hard to imagine a five-year-old accomplishing this level of maturity.
"Tell me, why did he want to avoid seeing me in front of so many people?"
Minato looked at Shisui.
Knowing him well, he knew that Shisui wouldn't have so readily passed on a message unless Itachi had convinced him with some surprising reason.
Shisui paused for a moment, then said in a deep voice, "Itachi didn't tell me the specifics. He said he could only tell you."
"But this matter will soon affect the safety of the village and your life."
"What!?"
Minato's pupils shrank, his heart trembling.
Even the Fourth Hokage couldn't remain calm after hearing these words.
If someone else had said that to him from the beginning, even Minato would have dismissed them as a joke.
But these words came from Shisui, and after their previous conversation, he had already formed a preliminary assessment of Itachi.
He couldn't treat him like a five-year-old.
He also found it difficult to imagine anything so serious as to threaten the safety of the village and his life.
Although the Third Shinobi World War had only recently ended, as the man who had led Konoha to victory, no one knew better than Minato that even if the other four nations tried to stage a comeback, they wouldn't be able to do so.
This stemmed from Minato's own self-confidence.
It was also because his presence had caused enormous losses to several other villages and a large country.
How could such a massive war end so easily?
However, based on his previous judgment, Minato preferred to believe this statement.
He now truly valued Itachi.
Minato's expression regained composure.
After considering Itachi's style of behavior, he looked at Shisui and said, "I think Itachi has something else to tell you."
Shisui nodded, took out the letter Itachi had given him from his bosom, handed it to Minato, and said, "This is a letter from Itachi to you."
Minato took the letter solemnly, opened it, and let his eyes rest on it.
There were not many words on the letter, only a few lines.
However, as soon as Minato's eyes fell on the letter, his face, which had just regained its composure, immediately showed a look of deep horror!

(A/N: What do you think was in the letter that caused such a powerful reaction from the Fourth Hokage? š¤)
