"Srrr!"

As Itachi's heart solidified with conviction, a strange surge of chakra emerged within his brain.

His dark pupils trembled, then turned blood red.

Itachi, unaware of the change, looked up at Fugaku, his expression firm and solemn.

"Dad, I was wrong just now. I'll never do that again." Having come to terms with his parents, Itachi could finally face them.

Fugaku lowered his gaze to Itachi, quickly observing the change in his pupils.

"Sharingan?!" he exclaimed, his face trembling, a look of intense surprise in his eyes.

As Itachi resolved to protect, the special chakra unique to the Uchiha clan stimulated his brain, causing his Sharingan to activate!

Within those blood-red pupils, a black magatama slowly spun.

Itachi then realized the change in his vision caused by the Sharingan's activation.

After a brief moment of stunned silence, he couldn't help but feel a surge of joy.

The Sharingan represents the Uchiha clan's strength, though it's not the sole component of its power.

However, since he was determined to protect, strength was naturally required.

His Sharingan's reawakening at this moment was undoubtedly a good thing.

"As expected of my son!"

Even a calm and composed Fugaku couldn't calm down for a moment.

He looked at Itachi with immense relief and laughed heartily in the courtyard.

Remember, Itachi was only five years old.

In the history of the Uchiha clan, there was no precedent for someone so young to awaken the Sharingan.

"Dad."

Hearing Fugaku's praise once again, the familiar warmth of the compliment gradually softened the tense expression on Itachi's face, which had shocked Fugaku and Mikoto.

The expression on his face just now was truly unlike that of a five-year-old.

"Thank you, Dad!" Itachi murmured inwardly.

When his thoughts strayed, it was Fugaku who guided him back onto the right path.

He had always known that, despite Fugaku's often stern expression, his father loved him and his brother just as much as their mother did.

Then, Itachi felt a slight dizziness creep into his brain.

"Not enough chakra?" Itachi wasn't alarmed.

Although he had immediately activated his Sharingan, the meager chakra in his body, having never formally trained in the ninja academy at the age of five, was naturally insufficient to maintain it.

With a fleeting thought, he instantly deactivated it.

Fugaku's laughter drew Mikoto into the room.

She swaddled Sasuke and slowly approached Fugaku and Itachi.

"Hubby?" Mikoto raised an eyebrow at the still-laughing Fugaku.

Even she had rarely seen him express such joy.

Fugaku's laughter died abruptly at Mikoto's call.

He turned away, embarrassed, as if he had done something wrong.

Itachi, too, turned at the sound, leaping with all his might, landing in front of Mikoto in the corridor beneath the eaves.

He bent down, bowed, and said, "Mom, I'm sorry for what happened just now. I made you worry."

"As long as you're okay," Mikoto said softly, shaking her head gently.

Itachi straightened himself, and Mikoto's beautiful face came into view.

She looked at him with a hint of concern, "Does it still hurt?"

She saw the slap marks on Itachi's face, and his forehead was slightly red and swollen.

"It's okay," Itachi shook his head.

Compared to his inner joy, the slight pain in his body was nothing.

Sasuke, in Mikoto's arms, had also been soothed, and his tears had ceased.

His dark eyes fixed on Itachi.

Seeing this, Itachi smiled gently and said with a doting look in his eyes:

"Sasuke, did my brother scare you?"

He did not apologize to Sasuke again, because he had just decided not to say such things to him again.

As the head of the clan and captain of the Konoha Guard, Fugaku had delayed some non-urgent matters due to Sasuke's birth some time ago.

Sasuke was born smoothly, so he left in a hurry without even having lunch with his family.

More than an hour after he left, it was almost lunchtime, and the Uchiha clan members brought food to the door.

Mikoto's current body was not suitable for doing housework.

After she breastfed Sasuke, he fell asleep in his cradle.

Itachi and Mikoto then began lunch.

At the table, Itachi told Mikoto that he had just awakened his Sharingan.

Mikoto, stunned, dropped her chopsticks.

"No wonder your father was so excited just now."

Despite her gentle motherly demeanor, Mikoto had long since become a jƍnin of the Uchiha clan and had also awakened the Sharingan.

But the fact that Itachi had already awakened his Sharingan at the age of five would be hard to believe.

However, only Itachi knew that he had already awakened his Mangekyƍ Sharingan.

So, even though his current body was from the age of five, it wasn't surprising that he had awakened his Sharingan.

The awakening of the Sharingan also revealed something to Itachi: he was no longer in a world of illusion, but in reality.

A newly awakened Uchiha Sharingan couldn't do much with the power of a single magatama.

But Itachi could use it to observe his own situation.

The Totsuka Blade and the Yata Mirror were both spiritual instruments.

No matter how advanced a genjutsu is, it simply disrupts the body's chakra.

If Itachi were in a genjutsu world, his true chakra form wouldn't be so severely suppressed, nor would his limited chakra be so clearly affected by the eye's use.

After confirming his place in reality, Itachi's face lit up with joy.

"Itachi?" Mikoto looked at him and whispered, "Seeing you so happy, I'm relieved. To be honest, Mom was a little worried about you just now."

"I'll never worry you again," Itachi promised Mikoto.

"Yes," Mikoto smiled and nodded, fully trusting her child.

The atmosphere around lunch suddenly lightened considerably.

After they finished their meal, Itachi quickly snatched the dishes and chopsticks from Mikoto's hands.

"Mom, you should take a break. I'll take care of the cleanup."

"I'll leave it to you," Mikoto said, noting the lightness that brightened Itachi's face.

Itachi swiftly cleared the table, then, with the dishes and chopsticks in hand, walked towards the kitchen with a smile on his face.

It was hard to express the joy in his heart at that moment!
