In the dim laboratory, Orochimaru's vertical pupils locked onto the blind boy before him. His whole body trembled with excitement.
"Fufufufu… So many spend their lives chasing after the Rinnegan (Samsara Eye), yet they don't know that a tiny mutation in some bloodlines can give them what they seek. Now, little brat, these eyes of yours… they belong to me!"
With that, Orochimaru suddenly extended his fingers, reaching toward the boy's eyeballs…
An unbearable pain shot from Hyūga Shigeo's eyes. Terrified, he stared at Orochimaru before him, yet inside he was cursing nonstop.
What the hell? He was just sleeping at home! How did he end up here?
And isn't that Orochimaru? Didn't he just say these were Rinnegan?
Hyūga Shigeo had transmigrated since birth. He knew the Naruto storyline well, so of course he knew who this was, and also knew what the so-called Rinnegan really was.
But was Orochimaru crazy? Everyone in Konoha knew he, Hyūga Shigeo, was blind. Born blind. A total waste. Worse than an ordinary person. The shame and accident of the Hyuga clan. How could he suddenly become someone with the Rinnegan?

The sharp pain stabbed at his eyes…
"Beep. Mirror System has detected an external invasion. Does Mirror Bloodline Host wish to counterattack? Warning: if no counterattack is chosen, eyeballs will be extracted. Once extracted, the system will self-destruct…"
"Counterattack! Counterattack…!" Shigeo's head throbbed in pain. He hadn't even processed what this system was, but he shouted the words anyway.
"Mirror System protecting host. Step one: Mirror Counterattack. Activating Mirror Genjutsu Conversion…"
Shigeo's eyes glowed a bluish-white. Orochimaru stared greedily at those bright, watery eyes. But then, before he could react, his vision warped, and his body collapsed to the ground.
He was trapped in an illusion. In it, he saw himself standing opposite… and that self said to him: "Little brat, these eyes of yours… they belong to me!"
In the illusion, he had become Hyūga Shigeo, while the illusionary Orochimaru stretched out his fingers toward his eyes, digging into them. Agonizing pain flooded every cell of his body…
"Wha… what's going on? Hyuga clan members can't use genjutsu! How is this possible?"
He spoke no more after that.
Meanwhile, Shigeo rubbed his eyes and jumped down from the bed. In his mind, a system interface had appeared.
"Apologies, Host. Mirror System reporting late. Would you like to initiate full awakening?"
"Awakening?" Though he was a transmigrator, he had no idea his body contained something called a "Mirror System."
"Yes, Host. This system was successfully bound to you from birth. It has merely remained in sleep mode. The danger just now forced emergency activation. Does Host wish to initiate full awakening?" The mechanical voice resounded.
"Full awakening!" Shigeo frowned as he looked at the struggling Orochimaru on the floor. He was only five years old. He had to survive.
Besides, if a single Mirror Counterattack could take down someone as dangerous as Orochimaru, then this system must be powerful.
"Beep. Congratulations to the sole heir of the Mirror Bloodline. Mirror System full awakening successful…"
