As the meal drew to a close, Lady Elizabeth's gentle voice broke through the joviality. She looked at Daphne with a warm, maternal gaze.
"Daphne, my dear," she began, "there is something I have been meaning to ask you. What do you intend to do with the Rose Mansion? The Emperor has given you quite a reward."
Daphne had thought about it a great deal.
"I want to house homeless people," she said, her voice soft but resolute. "I want to turn the mansion into a charity home. There is so much space and so many people with so little."
Aidan and Finn exchanged a look of pure admiration. "That sounds just like our little sister," Aidan said, a proud smile on his face.
