Chapter 27 - Chapter 27

"Asshole, stay away from my car. If you do this again, don't blame me for being rude!"

Eriri shouted angrily at Masao Tanaka.

At the same time, she stomped on the accelerator, but her car was completely blocked by Masao Tanaka's.

Not only did she fail to escape, but the collision made the car shake even more violently.

Her counterattack was useless—she had no way to fight back at all.

Their movements drew the attention of people nearby.

If others hadn't seen with their own eyes that they were playing a racing game, they might have thought the two were doing something else entirely.

[So racing games can even be played like this? I've learned something new.]

After a few minutes, the intense race finally ended.

Eriri slumped in her chair and let out a long breath.

Her cheeks were flushed red with anger and frustration.

She had just been tossed around mercilessly.

Taking a deep breath, she jumped off the seat, ready to settle accounts with the culprit—Tanaka Masao.

Eriri stormed over, stood on tiptoe, grabbed his collar, and glared at him viciously.

"You bastard! You were so arrogant just now—have you thought about how you want to die?"

Facing her aggressive glare, Tanaka Masao calmly replied:

"It's normal to crash while driving. If you want to blame someone, blame yourself for being too slow and blocking my way."

He deliberately repeated Eriri's own words back at her—giving her a taste of her own medicine.

"You…"

Eriri froze. What he said… wasn't wrong.

So technically, Tanaka Masao was reasonable. But could Eriri admit that?

"Of course not! you—go to hell!"

Because she was wearing a baseball cap today, Eriri couldn't use her special move—the ponytail attack.

So she resorted to punching him with her fists instead.

Her soft fists landed on Tanaka Masao's belly, but they did no damage at all.

Seeing Eriri swinging with her eyes squeezed shut, Tanaka Masao couldn't resist the mischievous urge rising in his chest.

He tensed his belly, then released it with a sudden bounce just as her fist hit.

At the same time, he shouted dramatically—

"Bounce back!"

Caught off guard, Eriri was pushed back several steps by the rebound.

She stared at his round belly in disbelief.

Her expression cycled rapidly—confusion, shock, anger…

Finally, all of it condensed into one furious slap that landed squarely on his stomach.

"Go to hell!"

Smack!

The sharp sound rang out, and Tanaka Masao felt a dull ache in his stomach.

As everyone knows, every force has an equal and opposite reaction.

Eriri instantly squatted down, clutching her reddened hand.

The sharp pain forced tears to the corners of her eyes, though she stubbornly refused to let them fall.

After a long moment, she grit her teeth and muttered,

"You… are you some kind of meat shield from a game?"

Tanaka Masao tilted his head curiously.

"Oh, Eriri, who can't even break through my defense, is nothing but a little small fry."

"Small fry? You're the small fry! Small fry!"

Being called that made Eriri furious, but she forced herself to stay calm.

She didn't keep hitting him.

But humiliation still burned in her chest, and she clearly wasn't going to let him off so easily.

Her eyes narrowed as she studied his chubby figure, and soon an idea formed in her mind.

She gave a cold snort and said,

"Hmph, I'm generous, so I won't bother with you. Go play other games."

"No."

Tanaka refused flatly.

"What did you say?!"

Eriri's eyes widened in disbelief.

"You actually rejected me?"

Tanaka spread his hands helplessly.

"Because it looks like you want to do something bad to me. Of course I'll refuse."

"Who would do something bad to you?!"

Eriri snapped, then immediately stepped forward, grabbed his arm, and dragged him along.

"You don't have the right to refuse. Shut up and follow me."

······

Tanaka Masao was forcibly pulled away by Eriri.

In truth, if he had refused to move, Eriri's strength alone couldn't have done anything to him.

But he was curious to see what she had planned.

Soon, Eriri dragged him to the music game area.

She shoved him onto a dance mat, then stood on the one next to it.

Quickly inserting coins, Eriri started the game.

"Hurry up, it's about to start."

Tanaka looked down at the eight direction keys and the jump key in the middle of the mat, feeling a little bewildered.

[Is this Eriri's revenge?]

While he was still thinking, the game had already begun.

Watching the arrows rise on the screen, Tanaka Masao moved his legs and stepped on the corresponding keys.

When the next arrows appeared, he managed to hit them in time as well.

But as the music sped up, the arrows came faster and faster.

Tanaka Masao had to jump constantly without pause.

Often two arrows appeared at the same time, making it even harder.

Watching him, Eriri exclaimed in surprise,

"No… I didn't expect you to be such a flexible fat man."

After a while, Eriri was already panting heavily.

Well, as a typical shut-in, her stamina was never great.

But in her mind, Tanaka should have been far clumsier given his size.

She had wanted to make him look ridiculous to avenge her loss in the racing game earlier.

But to her shock, Tanaka Masao was much more agile than she imagined.

The old Tanaka would never have been this nimble.

But after a week of training, his body had become far more flexible.

While dancing, Tanaka Masao teased,

"What's wrong, Eriri? Your breathing's unsteady. Getting tired already?"

Naturally, Eriri refused to admit it.

"Ha~ this much? Barely worth mentioning. You should worry about yourself!"

Because of the intense steps, both were out of breath as they spoke, but neither stopped.

As the tempo grew even faster, they had no time to talk at all, needing all their focus just to keep up.

"Damn, why is it so fast?!"

The rhythm suddenly spiked, forcing Eriri to push herself to the limit just to match the steps.

The rapid pace made her feel like her legs might cramp at any second.

Even Tanaka Masao no longer had the energy to taunt her.

His cheeks and stomach jiggled with every jump, sweat dripping down his forehead.

"Four!" ×2

Suddenly, four arrows appeared on the screen at once, making both of them cry out in shock.

Without thinking, Tanaka Masao dropped down, using both hands and feet to hit all four arrows at the same time.

Not to be outdone, Eriri bent down too, slapping the arrows with her hands while stomping the rest.
