Elsewhere, life has been calm for Sonic too. After years of nonstop battles, he's learned to slow down—just a little. He now lives near the coast, enjoying a quieter lifestyle.
Sitting under a palm tree, Sonic relaxes as Maron walks up, holding two ice creams.
> Maron (smiling): "You train way too much. Try chilling for once."
Sonic (grinning): "Hey, I'm the fastest thing alive, not the laziest thing alive."
She laughs and sits beside him, handing him an ice cream.
> Maron: "Still, even heroes need a break."

That night, he visits Bulma at Capsule Corp for help. Sonic, who's been hanging out nearby, overhears the plan and joins in.
> Bulma (grinning): "So, you want to fight crime but keep your secret? Leave it to me!"
Sonic (smirking): "You're really going with a disguise, huh? I'd just run fast enough nobody could see me."
Gohan: "Not everyone can move at the speed of sound, Sonic."
After hours of tinkering, Bulma unveils a black-and-green outfit with a red cape, white gloves, and a golden helmet with a tinted visor.
> Bulma: "Introducing… the Great Saiyaman suit!"
Sonic (laughing): "Wow, flashy! You sure you're not trying to start a fashion trend?"
Gohan (smiling): "Hey, if it keeps my identity safe, I'll take it."
The next morning, Gohan tests his new persona. Flying over the city in full costume, he strikes dramatic poses before stopping another crime in progress.

At school, Gohan meets Videl, the daughter of Mr. Satan. She's confident, tough, and already a skilled martial artist. However, her sharp instincts make her suspicious of the mysterious Great Saiyaman.
It doesn't take long before she pieces it together — Gohan is the masked hero. Instead of exposing him, she makes a deal.
> Videl (smirking): "You're going to teach me how to fly. In return, I'll keep your secret."
Gohan (nervously): "W-what?! Uh… sure, I guess I can do that."
Soon after, they begin training in the mountains outside of Satan City. Sonic tags along, curious and eager to help.
> Sonic (grinning): "Teaching someone to fly, huh? Mind if I assist the class?"
Gohan (smiling): "Just don't outpace her too fast, okay?"
Videl: "Wait—what do you mean by outpace—"
Before she can finish, Sonic dashes around her in a blur, stirring up a small whirlwind.
> Sonic (teasing): "Lesson one: balance under pressure!"
Videl (shouting): "Cut it out, you show-off!"
Despite his teasing, Sonic's agility training helps Videl grasp energy control faster. Between Gohan's patient guidance and Sonic's sharp instincts, she learns to sense her ki and slowly lift off the ground.

Videl, now confident in her flight and ki control, decides to enter too.
> Videl (smirking): "Don't think I'll go easy on you just because you trained me."

Sonic (grinning): "Good. I was worried it'd be boring."
