But this time, Seo Yujin wasn't going to live through that anymore.
He was going to dump him now and at least find better shots at love. He deserved better.
"Hyunwoo-a, we're not compatible. So I hope you can understand that now and let us stay away from each other. Okay?"
"But... why? Why are you suddenly saying that? I mean... did I do anything wrong... why?"
"Please," Seo Yujin stared into his eyes. "Please give me some space. Okay? We're not compatible at all. So please let that sink in."
Park Hyunwoo was panicking. "But..."
"I have classes." Yujin didn't—he just wanted to leave him. After their terrible breakup that was still vivid in his mind, he didn't think he could keep his cool around him.
He was about to leave when Hyunwoo grabbed him by the wrist. He looked desperate, and Seo Yujin could smell his pheromones in his nostrils.
He hated how these youths oozed out unhealthy amounts of pheromones on a daily basis over little emotions!
"What?" Yujin stared at his wrist that was held. "Do you also want to rape me?"
"No—" Hyunwoo let go of his hands. "I didn't mean to, I'm just..." he stared at him. "Can you at least think about it? Let's not be rash, let's talk about anything..."
"I've already thought things through. So don't talk to me again. Okay?" Yujin was about to leave when he recalled something.
He turned and said to him, "And good luck on the survival show, by the way." He smiled as he turned and walked out of the bathroom, away from Park Hyunwoo's pheromones.
He knew it was during this period that Hyunwoo got accepted into the survival show he later debuted in.
They had previously gone out for dinner to celebrate him getting into that survival show. But too bad, Seo Yujin wasn't going to be his supportive boyfriend this time around.
He was going to find his own way instead.

School was over, and Seo Yujin sat down at the back of the bus, scrolling through his phone.
He was looking for the best way to get into the entertainment industry immediately.
The most effective way that would aid his mission of leaping to the top.
And after a while of scrolling through the media, his attention could only settle on one means that seemed to be the best route:
Joining the upcoming survival show that Park Hyunwoo was also in.
That would technically be the best option to get some recognition, at least even as a nobody—because it was a survival show under the most popular company:

The top entertainment company in South Korea, housing top K-pop groups, artists, actors, models and more. It was simply the big-shot company of the country.
And Seo Yujin knew that anyone who got into that company could make it in the industry.
In his past life, he never got in. He never even got the chance to do so. He only got into a poor, small company and flopped throughout his career.
But this time, he was greedy enough to want to get into Elite Entertainment. Even though the greatest challenge was his identity as a male omega.
The company had never had any male omega under them. Most top companies didn't. It was the same derogatory ideology of not considering them capable of making it in the industry. And so, they weren't worth investing in.
But Seo Yujin wanted to break that norm and make it in the industry—even if it meant finding his way into this company to start his journey.
His greatest problem with joining the show wasn't just that the audition was already over and they were only looking for a few other trainees to fill spots.
It was that it was an alpha-only survival show.
A survival show that only needed alphas and would only debut an alpha-only boy group.
"How biased. They're still on about prioritizing alphas in the entertainment world." Yujin rolled his eyes as he scrolled through posts about the survival show.
The survival show, ALPHACONSTELLATIONS, was already super popular. With millions of views and likes on its posts online, it was safe to say the whole K-pop fandom was anticipating it.
It had been a while since the company debuted a new boy group—the last was nearly eight years ago.
So the hype for a new boy group was real. Especially since it was an all-alpha group.
"These people worship alphas like gods, so of course everyone and their mother would be tuning in." Seo Yujin rolled his eyes, scrolling through the posts.
He hated that he couldn't join because he wasn't an alpha. Because if he did, he would at least get some recognition for himself.
And he knew exactly how he would scheme for it.
"And the last audition is today..." He sighed, disappointed, as he scrolled through more posts.
Seo Yujin needed this sort of exposure. It was the closest and most perfect chance he could see. And it was something he was sure would serve as a solid foundation for a groundbreaking career in this industry.
And with that anxious zeal running through him, he came up with a random idea that slowly became an option.
"What if I become an alpha and join..." Yujin muttered after reading a fangirl's comment that said:

The comment had a million likes, with thousands of replies wishing the same.

And so, Yujin believed he could do the same. He was a male, after all, so that was enough.

That could work.
